Your image came out GREAT!! THANK YOU SO MUCH🙂!
@@AnteUpGraphics just bought me a Silhouette Cameo 4 today. But gotta sell my industrial vinyl cutters. transfer paper designs for clothing will be so much easier and FULL color with this! will definitely be watching your tutorials!
Great tutorial, I just got the cameo 4 Pro in which should be working in similar fashion. The question I'm having is why do you not flip it in the printing stage? I have seen many tutorials where they do but you don't. Why?
Because with the 3g jet opaque heat transfer paper you peel it off like a sticker and place it on the shirt. You don’t flip it over. I’m not transferring the ink to the shirt. I’m pressing the heat transfer paper to the shirt. Hopefully that makes sense.
Gr8 video... question though, can this be done using a photograph as your picture, just curious as would be something I'd have huge interest in if was possible, or maybe u have a video done with the photograph, if so, send us a link, but gr8 video
Hey man, great video - The Transfer Paper sits nicely and holds up well with setting. I followed everything to a T but when I cut the image on the Cameo and go to weed - it just lifts up all as one sheet - any insight onto why it is not cutting at all?
Hi, Great video! One question though, about the printer. Does it have to be some specific printer that is able to do prints on this kind of paper or that should be possible on every regular "office" printer? Thanks!
Do you load your printer with regular paper or is it card stock (or the vinyl)? Looks super easy just want to make sure I am using the correct paper for the printer. Thanks so much for the turtorial!
One more question is there a specific printer you have to use to print the logo to place it into the cutter air will y regular HP printer do the job and does your logo have to be digitized before uploading it to the silhouette software ?
Can you have the cutter cut all the way through the backing so you can have a “free standing” sticker that can then be applied to something at a later time?
Great video 👍🏼... quick question would this machine read printable glossy vinyl sticker paper?....because my cricket explorer maker 2 always have a hard time reading the sensor marks
Hello, thanks for the video it was very easy to follow but listen I'm brand new to this..when I put the print out into the cutter it will not read the registration marks so I inserted it upside down and it cut but it cut bottom side up. I hope you can follow this but do you think you might be able to suggest anything I would appreciate it!!
@@AnteUpGraphics yes it wants to move up and over about a half inch so I worked on it to where when it does dr I that it goors straight to the black square but it still didn't work.. I'm not into breaking things but I thought about it!! My aunt gave it to me she's gone She made shirts for us so it's like she said it's time to do it yourself. Thanks for your response
This is great and I would like to try this but how do the t-shirt wash over time? I've always thought that the colours will fade because it's printer ink
Why not use a transfer paper too pull the sticky vinyl design off its original paper and place it on the shirt? Is there such a thing? If there was could it be heat pressed and then peeled back off leaving only the sticker on the shirt? Another question is do you use any prep spray or additional adhesive spray on the fabric? Would it benefit it at all if you did? Thanks for any and all info.
There is a mask that you can use. But it’s an additional cost and not always easy. So I don’t use that step. There is no additional spray to use during any steps. There is no spray that would benefit the process.
I’m back again.. I love this tutorial! But what if you have an image that’s not all one piece. It’s not connected like your image. I tried to trace the image I want to cut to turn it all yellow.. it turned the image yellow but it still want connected if that makes sense. For example I have a margarita image with limes
You can create an offset around all of the images to give one cut line around all of it. Although this will make the image one piece. You will have white where there isn’t any images. Alternatively you can cut them all separate and then use sisers ttd mask to pick them all up at once. I don’t like to do that because it can pull the colors up
@@AnteUpGraphics do I create the offset first before printing the image or do I create the offset after I print and am ready to place on the mat to cut?
Create it before printing. Then change the offset line color to something different then the red ( which is the default cut line color) Then when you got to cut you can cut by line color and only cut the offset.
Is there a method to precisely cut out an existing drawing? For instance, if my child made me a drawing and I wish to cut out its silhouette accurately, can I "scan" it into the Cameo 4 for precise cutting?
Do you use some sort of special ink for printing ? Or is it standard ink cartridge ? How does the image act after tshirt being washed in washing machine ? Will it stay ?
Quick question, if this same print was placed on a black shirt. Would it be possible for the Silhouette to cut so that the print would have a white outline? If that makes sense! Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the tutorial! Just wondering what color printer I need to do this? Is it a special kind of ink to be durable on a t-skirt? Or can I just use any printer? Thanks!
Great video bro question? Haven’t sure if mentioned it but .. what’s settings you use for cutting with that heat transfer paper and what heat transfer paper do you use? Thanks man
Blade 1, Speed 5, Force 5 is what I used. I use the 3g jet opaque paper anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
Awesome tutorial boss I’m a bit confused though, was that a single sheet of paper or two sheets that were under the design while it was being cut? I saw that the white page was still there after you had weaved it out. at what point did you add the second sheet of paper?
I didn’t add anything to it. It comes that way. It’s heat transfer paper. It’s specifically made for shirts. You can get it here: anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/

Just a question about what follows this for heat transfer/printing: would this final graphic be printed on some kind of vinyl paper to then be used for the heat transfer/printing process? Thanks! =).
@@AnteUpGraphics Thank you! If I can pick your brain, I'm looking to buy my own equipment for merchandise design, but, I'd like to start off with the complete basics, first! Your image came out GREAT!! THANK YOU SO MUCH🙂!
You’re welcome!!
ty! i am moving away from heat transfer vinyl to transfer prints. this was very helpful on how to weed out and get rid of unwanted space!
Glad I could help!
Yes. You could use a picture. You would just have to set up the cut lines where you want them.
@@AnteUpGraphics an brilloant, thanks for the info i your reply and for your reply, much appreciated
Thank you for being so precise on explaining the process, very easy to understand. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Finally a true helpful tutorial. 🫡 salute bro
Hey man, great video - The Transfer Paper sits nicely and holds up well with setting. I followed everything to a T but when I cut the image on the Cameo and go to weed - it just lifts up all as one sheet - any insight onto why it is not cutting at all?
You’re cut settings aren’t right.
Do some test cuts to dial it in.
@@AnteUpGraphics will do. Appreciate the response.
Hi,
Great video! One question though, about the printer.
Does it have to be some specific printer that is able to do prints on this kind of paper or that should be possible on every regular "office" printer?
Thanks!
This is just a regular printer. Nothing fancy.
Awesome tutorial! Thank you! Can you tell me what kind of printer you used to print it?
Epson 7710.
Do you load your printer with regular paper or is it card stock (or the vinyl)? Looks super easy just want to make sure I am using the correct paper for the printer. Thanks so much for the turtorial!
It’s 3g jet opaque heat transfer paper
anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
I used an inkjet printer.
Wow this is interesting. Would this work on a cameo pro?
New subbie here ❤️
Yes! Cameo pro uses the same software.
@@AnteUpGraphics thank you
@@AnteUpGraphics I tried this and the cut didn’t match the print lol
Did you move the image after you printed it?
@@AnteUpGraphics no
Very helpful video, thank you for sharing. What kind of paper and ink did you use for the picture? please share. Thank you again in advance.
I used an epson 7710 with inkjet ink. I use 3g jet opaque paper anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
@@AnteUpGraphics Thank you so much for the reply.
Love your work! Could you tell me if the design can be transferred to the shirt with a cricut EasyPress 2?
Yes. You can. But it does require a lot of pressure.
@@AnteUpGraphics interesting 🤔 thank you!!!!
One more question is there a specific printer you have to use to print the logo to place it into the cutter air will y regular HP printer do the job and does your logo have to be digitized before uploading it to the silhouette software ?
I think we spoke on the phone but I wanted to answer you just in case someone else has the same question.
The image can be png. Jpg. PDF.
Everyone needs to watch this video that way they will know how to do it right. GREAT JOB!!!
Thank you so much!!
Can you have the cutter cut all the way through the backing so you can have a “free standing” sticker that can then be applied to something at a later time?
Yes! You can.
Great video! Can you tell me if your printer has regular ink in it? You pressed your pet dog on a white T-shirt. What ink was used TY
Inkjet ink. It’s the ink that came with the printer.
that was very helpful,thank you.
can you please tell me what kind of paper did you use to print the design?
I used our 3g heat transfer paper
anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
I have a question. Can you take one of these images and successfully press them to another area of the garment? Say the sleeve or up near the collar?
Yes. The heat transfer paper will stick to any part of the shirt.
Great video 👍🏼... quick question would this machine read printable glossy vinyl sticker paper?....because my cricket explorer maker 2 always have a hard time reading the sensor marks
Definitely about to switch over to that machine this week
The silhouette can read printable glossy vinyl sticker paper. I cut stickers all the time.
@@AnteUpGraphics nice! Just purchased that machine 🙌..thank you
Hello, thanks for the video it was very easy to follow but listen I'm brand new to this..when I put the print out into the cutter it will not read the registration marks so I inserted it upside down and it cut but it cut bottom side up. I hope you can follow this but do you think you might be able to suggest anything I would appreciate it!!
Did you try to set them manually after it failed?
@@AnteUpGraphics yes it wants to move up and over about a half inch so I worked on it to where when it does dr I that it goors straight to the black square but it still didn't work.. I'm not into breaking things but I thought about it!! My aunt gave it to me she's gone She made shirts for us so it's like she said it's time to do it yourself. Thanks for your response
have you ever cut the jet-pro soft stretch heat transfer paper before and if yes what cut settings you would recommend ?
Never. It’s not designed to be cut. You just print it. Flip it over and press it.
Ante Up Graphic Supply yea I thought so, some guy was telling me he cut it that’s why I ask.
This is great and I would like to try this but how do the t-shirt wash over time? I've always thought that the colours will fade because it's printer ink
It hold up great as long as it’s washed correctly.
@@AnteUpGraphics great thanks for your response. Will definitely give it a go
Thank You so so much
Please can you tell me what printers are used to print on the printable HTV?
The 3g jet opaque heat transfer paper I used in the video requires an inkjet printer.
Amazing!!! what type of paper do you use to print the image?
Same question...
It’s an inkjet printer. An epson 7710
@@AnteUpGraphics right on, thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
I don’t like to do that because it can pull the colors up
@@AnteUpGraphics as always thanks so much!!
@@AnteUpGraphics do I create the offset first before printing the image or do I create the offset after I print and am ready to place on the mat to cut?
Create it before printing. Then change the offset line color to something different then the red ( which is the default cut line color)
Then when you got to cut you can cut by line color and only cut the offset.
Is there a method to precisely cut out an existing drawing? For instance, if my child made me a drawing and I wish to cut out its silhouette accurately, can I "scan" it into the Cameo 4 for precise cutting?
Scan it. Upload it into silhouette then trace it to make the cutlines. Then you can print and cut it
@@AnteUpGraphics thanks!!
Do you use some sort of special ink for printing ? Or is it standard ink cartridge ? How does the image act after tshirt being washed in washing machine ? Will it stay ?
It’s standard inkjet ink. It holds up well in the wash if you washed correctly
Which material did you use to print the sticker on the Espon printer? Also which material did you select on the cameo 4 when trying to trace it out ?
I used heat transfer paper
anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
I selected transfer paper.
I thank you for this awesome easy to follow tutorial. My question is do you print with regular ink jet or sublimation?
Regular ink
Quick question, if this same print was placed on a black shirt. Would it be possible for the Silhouette to cut so that the print would have a white outline? If that makes sense! Thank you in advance!
Yes! It does make sense and you can create a white outline around it if you want
@@AnteUpGraphics would I be able to do that when editing the line thickness? And thank you again!
Thanks for the tutorial!
Just wondering what color printer I need to do this?
Is it a special kind of ink to be durable on a t-skirt?
Or can I just use any printer?
Thanks!
It’s just a regular inkjet printer. No special ink
Great video bro question? Haven’t sure if mentioned it but .. what’s settings you use for cutting with that heat transfer paper and what heat transfer paper do you use? Thanks man
I’m using cameo 4 for that settings question
You can get it here:
anteupgraphicsupply.com/3g-jet-opaque-heat-transfer-paper-8-5x11-sheet-dark-fabrics/
@@AnteUpGraphics Thank you my man I truly appreciate that. I’m surprised the blade doesn’t cut through the second sheet, this is perfect for my project.
Hi ! There’s any better way to transfer the sticker to the shirt? I have a very fine lines design.. Thanks for sharing
Some people use sisers ttd mask to transfer images but I don’t like to do that because sometimes it transfers the color to the sheet.
Cleanest cut i've seen to date yes sir......
Thanks!
Just a question about what follows this for heat transfer/printing: would this final graphic be printed on some kind of vinyl paper to then be used for the heat transfer/printing process? Thanks! =).
Apologies! I go to end of vid and answered my question! =)
Great! Glad you got your answer!
@@AnteUpGraphics Thank you! If I can pick your brain, I'm looking to buy my own equipment for merchandise design, but, I'd like to start off with the complete basics, first! Is that as simple as buying a heat press (with all necessary parts/components), a desktop printing for printing web-based graphics on the vinyl paper, and then doing the heat transfer on the press? Or is even the basic for this more complex? Thanks! =).
Awesome helpful video…. Thank you so much! One question… how can I do it with an actual drawing?
Upload the file into silhouette studio.
Add cut lines if you want.
Then follow the same process.
Hey thanks for such a great video but I'm having a big annoying problem. How do I remove a white background/nodes off a design in Silhouette Studio when printing and cutting using an Hp laptop? PLEASE HELP!!
Printers don’t print white. So you wouldn’t have to remove the “white”
Can you use a cricket to cut printed heat transfers? We are printing heat transfer paper for items to be printed on black t-shirts and need something to cut along the outline for us so we aren’t cutting manually.
Yes. You can print and cut on the cricut
@@AnteUpGraphics thank you!
Is it possible to do iron on transfers without a heat press? Meaning, is it possible to use an iron with the teflon paper to make the transfer?
You can. But a heat press is recommended for best results.
