Omg! You are an AHMAZING teacher!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate how thoroughly & CLEARLY you explained everything!! I have watched probably 5 other videos on the trace function and learned more by watching yours than from all the others combined! I hope Silhouette hires you to do ALL of their tutorial videos from now on!! Thank you SO MUCH!! New subscriber for sure!👍👍

Ken have I told you I love you? Well I do. You take your time on showing how to do things. I've had my silhouette for a few years. And am just now getting to use it for fun stuff. I originally bought it to make sewing patches. (Long story.) I didn't mind the investment because I knew I would eventually use it for crafting later. I completely understand every step you are showing. You are a marvelous teacher. Thank you for this video. (And all your others as well.) Now I can't wait until morning to try this out!

Thank you so much for your video -- I have had a Silhouette for over a year and am otherwise quite tech savvy, but have found using the advanced features like tracing to be SO intimidating and overwhelming! Very comforting to hear you say you had the same issues to overcome, and show us clear ways of getting the most out of this great tool!

OMG! This is the best video! Thank you so much for explaining it so well. I've spent so much time trying to get planner sticker images to trace right because it kept cutting the words out that were in the middle of the sticker. Now I know how to use the trace filters to eliminate that.

I’ve been watching your videos all night, and listening when I fall asleep. Referring to your current video that I watched last night, I agree with you about the large format cutter that CRICUT is going to offer. They are too late to play catch-up. I to force people into using their vinyl without the mat… AGAIN! No way!!! I wonder if projects will only be available online and in Design Space. I have the Explorer Air 2.
I’m just getting into Silhouette Studio 9 years after you posted this video. I’m so happy it popped up in feed. I’m saving this and other videos so I can practice and learn how to get better use of my software. I have the Business Edition of Silhouette Studio.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you so much ! I was looking for a little boy learning to skate and I could not find one except to purchase a picture. It was a great image but I had to cut out the whole skating boy in multiple colors to piece it together. It took me a very long time and I almost gave up. The boy did turn out but it was way too time-consuming. This will really help cut down my time.
I really wish Silhouette would make more traditional images and less cartoon like characters.
    THanks again!

I had no idea that I could print the image and then cut it out! I bought my cameo to replace my old Cricut because my mom doesn't want to give it back and because I like using SCAL instead of buying tons of cartridges. SCAL can't be used with the newer Cricuts because the company is stupid, and so I switched. I knew the Cameo had some great features, but had no idea the amount of things it could do. It's amazing!
Thanks for showing me way more than just how to trace an image! I'm subscribing asap!

You by far have the best videos on this subject. My question is, if you want the machine to cut all the detail say in that stamp flower you colored, how do you do that? I have specific need for not only the outline but the inner detail. The images you buy do that, they cut all the detail so the images we import should as well, right?

Ken thanks for this wonderful video it was so helpful. I do have some questions about how you get your stamp images. I have several stamp sets that I would love to be about to cut out using with my silhouette. They are stampin U Stamp. What would be the best method to use to get these images on my computer. Are you about to just get the images from the internet? Or would I need to scan in the picture of my sets and then import them in?

since my question I changed my speed to a 2, paper thickness to 30 and blade to 4 and have notice a change when I cut my image... but now my mat is cut through is some places... my mat and blade are new, I am new to silhouette and slowly learning it all...

Oh I must say, I have the first silhouette, I never used it because I just couldn't figure all this out. The reason I purchased it and not say a Cricute was because you could import your own art work or those off the internet. I'm getting back into this to combine with other art and again im confused even to the point of tears last night! Help, please if your still on your channel. Thank you
