    After putting over 1,000 miles on the PowerStop evolution sport brakes I figured I can now offer my feedback on how its been to use these pads on the SRT.
    Why you should get these pads?
    The Power Stop (Z23-1405) Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Pads are the solution to getting rid of brake dust while maintaining performance.
    How much do these pads cost?
    Currently these pads retail for $52.25 on amazon.
    Can you change your brakes at home?
    Yes, install is very easy with the right tools it should take no longer than 1 hour to complete install on a hellcat or scatpack/SRT.

      How was the difference ?

    • @blkeclipsel2400

      I just upgraded my brake system from 1 piston calipers to 4 piston brembo calipers on all 4 corners.
      That alone should make a difference in stopping power. Not to mention the rotors for the new calipers are bigger (more surface area) However, I'm going to go a step further and get some cross drilled slotted z23 rotors. I'm still on the fence between PS Pads or Akebono.
      Id say ive seen 90% positive reviews on power stop z23 ceramic CF pads and 98% positive reviews on Akebono Ceramics. However, the price difference is huge.

    For colder Climates like here in Canada I'll stick with a Semi-Metallic which is all the Brembo OE's are lol

    I like my brake not to have a "mushy" feeling. Do they brake provide that instant stop feel?

    • @oldschoole2620
      @oldschoole2620 4 роки тому +2

      curious on the same.... I'm seeing lots of reviews saying they are mushy.

      I got these put on, and from the stock brembo pads, they create less dust for sure, but they don’t have the stopping power for high speed track use. And yes, they’re mushy.

    • @unharmed1961
      @unharmed1961 3 роки тому +2

      @@oldschoole2620 they are only mushy of you don't break them in

    • @mphotographyvideo7167
      @mphotographyvideo7167 2 роки тому +6

      Mushy feel is usually your brake fluid and lines. RBF650 and Stainless steel lines bled properly will make your pedal feel super firm

      Ceramic has a softer feel, semi metallic grabs. Name brand irrelevant.

    Why did you change them early, if the Brembo's still were good and brake better ? But for a car like yours, you should have gotten the Extreme Z26, to be honest. I got those for my Stinger GT. the ones you got, one can say maybe you went down 2 steps, and downsizing 1 step with the Z26, if they're even a step down.. and Z26 are still less $ than Brembo's.

    Rush, did you or do you experience squeaky break noise in the front? And if so when you switched pads did the lack of dust help stop with the noise? I have a 2016 srt 392. And my breaks make an awful noise. Dodge already replaced the rotors and brakes once because of the noise. But it’s still there. I love my car but hate driving it when this happens. It’s embarrassing. To have a car this nice and it squeaks every time I break. What advice do you have on this

      julio sosa I got the new brake pads. Was good for a few weeks. But starting to squeak again. Super embarrassing. I’m gonna burn it, collect the insurance and get a Z06. Sucks. Cause I really love my car. Help us out Dodge!!!!!!!!
