My Dream Car was Wrecked while the Internet Watched (Rebuilding)

I've been pretty sad since my 1991 Ef Civic was sideswiped by a trucker on the highway and in the meantime being around other cars has been lifting my spirits and reminding me of why I love what I do. This vlog is about what I've been doing in my off time from the Internet as I deal with grieving the loss of something that was never really alive, but it was to me. It's more than metal to me.

Hi! I'm Lex, a low&slow JDM enthusiast and hobbyist mechanic from British Columbia, Canada. I love Japanese car culture and old, slow hatches. My love for cars started when I bought my 1991 4th Gen Ef Civic, a car that I spent 5 years building Kanjo style with ASR parts, a bodykit including a Chargespeed spoiler, Nardi steering wheel, imported Work Equip 01 wheels, and Skunk2 front suspension. I fell in love with car culture and the freedom I gained when I was able to fix my own cars and help my friends with theirs. I created SlowCarShop to instill confidence in those who may want to get into cars but don't know where to start, and to provide respite from the flex culture and egos that often infiltrate the automotive scene.
After years of owning my Civic, it was recently sideswiped on the highway by a trucker, and I am rebuilding it in my garage. Luckily, the car is saveable and will be driving Slow again soon!
