Slow Car Shop
Canada
Приєднався 3 бер 2023
Welcome to SlowCarShop, where horsepower and top speed are equivalent (on a good day.)
Residing on Canada's beautiful PNW coast, Lex is a JDM hatchback enthusiast with no need for speed. She collects vintage cars like Pokemon cards, to prove that with proper maintenance, knowledge, and appreciation- they're more than metal.
SlowCarShop came to life as a content brand based on community, teamwork, and car admiration. Come along with us for adventures, educational wrenching videos, and occasional memery.
Cars Currently In Lex's Garage:
1991 Kanjo Ef Civic Hatch 5spd (200,000kms) REBUILDING
1990 Mazda 323 Hatch 5spd (169,000kms)
2010 Smartcar Fortwo (Temporary Daily)
1977 Ford Pinto
it's okay to take it slow!

have a banana and sit outside for awhile - A Storytime of my first Slow Car Meet
Sometimes things don't go as planned, just like my very first Slow Car Shop meet. I attended the Driven Car Show in Vancouver with some friends and held my very first car meet in Richmond, BC. It was amazing to meet you guys and I can't wait to drive out there again. Here is a Storytime recap of the event and what I learned from the experience when it didn't go exactly as expected!

Hi! I'm Lex, a low&slow JDM enthusiast and hobbyist mechanic from British Columbia, Canada. I love Japanese car culture and old, slow hatches. My love for cars started when I bought my 1991 4th Gen Ef Civic, a car that I spent 5 years building Kanjo style with ASR parts, a bodykit including a Chargespeed spoiler, Nardi steering wheel, imported Work Equip 01 wheels, and Skunk2 front suspension. I fell in love with car culture and the freedom I gained when I was able to fix my own cars and help my friends with theirs. I created SlowCarShop to instill confidence in those who may want to get into cars but don't know where to start, and to provide respite from the flex culture and egos that often infiltrate the automotive scene.
After years of owning my Civic, it was recently sideswiped on the highway by a trucker, and I am rebuilding it in my garage. Luckily, the car is saveable and will be driving Slow again soon!
I also own a 1990 Mazda 323 at 169xxxkms that you can learn about here:

this is the second video in my Kanjo Ef Civic rebuild series! in this video I take apart the interior panels of my Honda to prepare for bodywork. since I learned that the frame of the car is not bent, i've become even more motivated to work on restoring her! this is a big time commitment that i'm excited to take on! ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝...
My TOTALLED 1991 Kanjo Ef Civic build.. Is it Fixable?
Переглядів 3,4 тис.9 місяців тому
Today I finally got to be with my 1991 Ef Civic project car after the collision that left me with some body and trailing arm damage. This is my dream car that I have put a lot of money and time into over the past 5 years. It breaks my heart to see it sitting, so I want to start getting it road safe again. Today my goal was to see if the car would run after sitting for 6 months and to clean up t...
My Dream Car was Wrecked while the Internet Watched (Rebuilding)

I've been pretty sad since my 1991 Ef Civic was sideswiped by a trucker on the highway and in the meantime being around other cars has been lifting my spirits and reminding me of why I love what I do. This vlog is about what I've been doing in my off time from the Internet as I deal with grieving the loss of something that was never really alive, but it was to me. It's more than metal to me. ╔═...

Love the creativity of this video, amazing shots!
Something big is coming, we can feel it!
So pumped for the rebuild!
👋🤟
That should buff out.
Dont worry, itll eventually be back to the way it was before. The only difference will be that you now know how to do body work. Thats what project cars are all about - learning stuff :)
cant wait for more videos live this channel
Greetings from behind the Iron Curtain! I am OK, and still can't wait to see The Civ back on the road soon!
Almost 2 years ago, I had the same civic, same color, same everything... Now in 2025, that little car is long gone, but seeing you rebuild yours now, makes me miss it so much. The dedication and loyalty you have to that car is tear-jerking! Wishing you all the best and sending lots of love, from Virginia ♥️🙏
