The fire shooting weapon, is a shotgun using rounds called "Dragon's Breath", as you can see why it's called that. It's actually a real type of shotgun ammo
Magnesium shot. magnesium is highly reactive with oxygen, and with proper concentrations, combusts in air
People who used to watch old school UA-cam would recognise it thanks to FPS Russia
Wow! "Dragons Breath" is an accurate name for it!
@@reactswithjax as long as the dragon brushes and flosses regularly it's really not that bad of a round.
And very expensive, $50 bucks a round.
The fact that this movie did not get a cinematography oscar nomination is criminal
"Stay with Mr. Wick." That's a father protecting his daughter.
The person who played the big guy Killa Harkan is actor/martial artist Scott Adkins. He's wearing prosthetic makeup to look that big.
That makes sense! He was great in this. ❤️
@@reactswithjaxIf you want a really good film starring Scott Adkins I'd recommend his movie called "Avengement" 🙂
@@reactswithjax he is a stunt man for the most part and has also acted along side Cain actor Donnie Yen in the film IP Man
this also shows how much adkins has grown as an actor. he feels so natural in this role
@@scott744 I mean not really. He's been an action movie star since forever. HEck the undisputed movies are 15+ years old and he starred in three of them (being the lead in two)
(3:36) He's really gone in real life. It was shocking news back then.
That's so sad. He was a wonderful actor.
@@reactswithjax He's Lance Reddick. He's also a voice actor in video games. He voiced Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, and Zavala in Destiny 2 (which he also plays)
My favorite thing about this 4th film is the Radio DJ talking about John's journey, because it's a callback to The Warriors film and sort of makes that film canon to these films. Which does make sense, given the kind of violence and influence gangs and crews have.
Also the “come out and play” guy in the warriors is the same actor as the cleanup crew guy in John wick one.
I knew I've seen that before! I couldn't place it!
Bill Skarsgård is also the one play as Pennywise the Dancing Clown in IT Chapter 1&2.
He looks so familiar, but I haven't seen those movies.
@@reactswithjax Please do. It's so much better than the old ones.
You will be scared of IT
@@reactswithjax You should totally watch them, They are scary but the fun kind of scary. The movies interject tons of humor in them too to kinda give you breaks between the scary tense parts
Notice the reaction of the dog at the grave site. The dog saw something off camera that will probably have some bearing on the 5th movie in the series.
Oh! Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see that!
I caught that in the theater, and knew there would / will be a 5.
Absolutely. John is alive. Even free of his obligation to the table, there are still more than enough people who'd like to make their name by killing him. Of course, you can't kill him if he's already "dead". Something will bring him back into the open for number 5.
I think it might be to protect Cain. I can’t wait to find out.
10:38 the manager gave his life so the table wouldn't go after gis daughter which is the concierge, cane said "just take care of your daughter" and he responded with "i am" becuz if he didnt die the table will do the same as the ney york concierge
The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favorites; you're missing out if you haven't watched it.
It's basically made for your tastes, and I'm sure you will adore it, and it will make great content for your channel.
John wick - He Grieved
John wick 2- He Raged
John wick 3- He Bargained
John wick 4- He Accepted
I think what Caine meant when he said he "gave his eyes" for the table, it's probably because the table said he can't see his daughter anymore, so he went to the extreme and blinded himself so he literally can't see her but can still be with her if he wants to.
My girl was so adorable doing her "fighting dance" 😄😄!! I could watch you allllll day!!!
Thank you!!! ❤
@@reactswithjax That entire topdown shot was all one take, I LOVED the camera work for that topdown shot
When she said “Is he really gone” hit me hard 😭😭
Rip Lance Reddick ❤️❤️❤️
I saw this in IMAX. It was absolutely brilliant!
That must have been so much fun!
36:45 The look on Winston's face says it all. 💔
Winston is such a great character.
The continental is a prequel, explains how winston becomes manager, also there is a fifth john wick in production
A fifth movie!! 🥳🤯 I'm looking forward to seeing that. Also, can't wait to see The Continental.
How I thought John died
@@nathanhopper809 did you see someone say he was dead, or did you just see him slump over cause he was tired, then see a grave matker. What better way for him to be left alone than to pretend he is dead. Think of yhe wounds he recieved in the duel, a shoulder graze, a arm hit, a belly hit in the same place he was stabbed in the first movie. All non lethal wounds.
5th won't have wick in it he dead
The 5th isn’t in production, unless you are talking about Ballerina … But, that will be a movie from the John Wick universe, not a John Wick film.
I highly recommend the movie ‘Nobody!
It’s made by some of the people who made John Wick and genuinely feels like it’s in the same universe. Very fun and highly entertaining.
The snort before the Marquis stabbed the tracker’s hand was super cute … lol😂
Man of focus ,commitment and f***ing sheer will
To paraphrase from another great movie; "The greatest trick Baby Yaga did, was convincing the world he was dead." I loved the Tracker and his "support/service" dog. I really loved his lever action rifle, the Cowboy Assault Rifle.....still around because it works.
Best action movie ever imo, and I've seen all the classics. All the best parts of the previous 3 movies, none of the flaws. The cinematography, how all the shots are symmetrical and the neon lighting, the amazing score and soundtrack that beats even the other 3. The beginnng fight would've been a legendary final fight for any other classic action film, and it wasn't even the best fight in the film. They didn't even show the Hotline Miami style fight in the trailers, and I'm glad they didn't because I got to go in the theater and have my mind blown (that was all actually a one shot and really all Keanu Reeves btw.) I also said on the reaction video for the first movie to remember the club music, because that legendary track made a return in the Dragon's Breath scene and it was such an amazing full circle moment, like an anime playing the season 1 intro for a major season 4 fight.
This whole movie was about excess, the entire film a sisyphean task for Wick, as the odds keep building up and even though we've seen John kill hundreds it still feels like too much, and it feels as if he'll be condemned to killing and being hunted forever. The beginning fight was basically the Chapter 3 final fight on steroids, and he has to kill more people in the one night in paris than he killed in the entire first movie. The stair scene was a direct reference to the myth of Sisyphus, as just like he would push a rock up the hill for all eternity only to have it fall again, so too did John climb all those stairs only to repeat his impossible task a second time. But of cpurse, John Wick eats impossible tasks for breakfast, and he actually does it in the 8 minutes we see he had left at the beginning of the fight.
Scott Adkins didn't have to audition, he's a martial arts legend in his own right and was begging to be in these movies since he saw the first one. He talks about how excited he was when Chad Stahelski finally gave him that call. His prosthetics were a reference to Sammo Hung, a real martial arts movie legend who despite being a bigger boy pulled the most amazing acrobatic kicks and maneuvers in his movies. This is also his second time facing Donnie Yen, another martial arts legend, they were both against each other in Ip Man 4.
The only way I'm interested in watching another movie if John is not in it is if Donnie Yen is the star, it won't be the same of course but he has such a style and charism in all his movies he's really a top 5 hong kong cinema actor right up there with Jackie Chan.
@Reacts With Jax - They used a special shotgun round called “Dragon’s Breath”. And, the actual “Dragon’s Breath” Round really does produce fire sparks or flares like in the film.
I'm also a fan of the use of colors in this whole film series. Blue for that world of their business. Green for a go for action. Red for consequences (and how bad it is by the amount of red). Yellow for a life outside of their business, or the hope of making it there. And all the combinations that show how complicated things are.
Hey, Jax--if you go back and look at the John Wick 4 funeral scene, you'll see the dog suddenly looks up into the distance as if it recognizes something. It was meant to be a hint that John might not actually be dead and is just making sure that everyone leaves him alone.
It was his perfect ending, he got out again, and then died as Winston suggested, not as the Baba Yaga, but as a man that loved his wife
Thank you so much for your channel Jax! It is such a safe space, filled with warmth and happy vibes 🥰🥰 Love your Disney pillow! 💖💖
I'm so glad you feel that way! Thank you so much! ❤❤
@@reactswithjax Of course!! 💝💝
CONSEQUENCES!!!!
34:23 your knowledge is correct. They move 10 paces forward. They were at 30 paces, minus 10 is 20. They were told to move to the 20 paces mark, not to move 20 paces forward.
Duels even have John Wick confused!
It has been said that Keanu trained for 4000 hours on his weapons training, and his martial arts to prepare for these John Wick movies
I fully believe John is still alive and took his new freedom as a chance to start a new life somewhere else. His dog reacts to something offscreen, and Winston's answer about where he is seems just evasive enough to hint that only he knows where John went. I think it's a great way to end it because if we don't get a 5th movie, this wraps things up perfectly, but if we do, just enough room was left open for John to still be alive.
totally nailed it, you appreciated all the quality bits of this masterclass of action filmmaking. also those wounds at the end he gave cain were the same as the ones he gave the doc/keymaker from the previous movie : )
Thank you so much! I hadn't noticed that he gave the doc the same wounds! Wow, that is brilliant.
24:13 - Even after 3 previous movies Jax still doesn't expect the villains to play unfair 🤣Also, I agree, Bill Skarsgård (The Marquis) is doing a phenomenal job at playing the character
This was an amazing movie with beautiful cinematography... Also the open ending for this movie seemed to be the perfect choice.
The production of all the John Wick films is so impressive!
12:55 "Woooow. So this could be the movie where John finally gets his freedom."
Oh dear...
Oh dear indeed!
The scenery and shooting perspective in these movies were completely...awesome. The crane camera work deserves an award.
Yes! This was a visual masterpiece.
If no one else has told you, the Marquis is also the actor as Pennywise.
Time to watch the show now. It's fantastic and seeing how everything started is amazing.
"fire shooting weapon" those are called "dragons breath" they are 12ga shotgun rounds filled with magnesium
Wow! I had no idea that was a real weapon.
@@reactswithjax shotguns have all kinds of crazy rounds
Are they armour-piercing? Just asking.
No they are not
Jax, I really loved your reaction when it turned out John didn't fire his third bullet. I felt the exact same way when I saw this on the big screen with my dad. You are so energetic and yet pure-hearted as always. 💖😃🌠
Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. What a fun day at the movies with your dad!
They chose some spectacular locations for this film! Most noticeably in Paris; the Palais Garnier (3:57), the Louvre art gallery (19:57), the Trocadero Square near the Eiffel Tower (21:20), the roundabout Arc de Triomphe (26:26) - which really is as psychotic as it looks in this film - and the Rue Foyatier stairs (30:31) and church of Montmartre (36:55). I believe they were all shot on location, except for the Arc de Triomphe of curse. It's really impressive.
I was thinking to myself how expensive it must've been to shut down those areas for the shoot.
Scott Adkins auditions was basically being in Ip Man 4, that is the reason why he and Donnie Yen are in this movie, and not in a bad way.
John's hand at poker was called "The Dead Man's Hand," it is considered a cursed poker hand. The cards are Ace of Spades, Ace of Clubs, 8 of Spades, 8 of Clubs and it doesn't matter what the fifth card is. It is believed that Wild Bill Hickok had this hand of poker when he was shot in the head and killed. Although it is a decent poker hand, many superstitious players will not play it for this reason. If they get it, they just fold.
Wow, I had no idea! Thanks for explaining that.
What nobody talks about at the end is that the tracker lost out on $40 million since John’s obligations have been fulfilled.
The world I've heard is rumored to continue in a movie called "Ballerina" like the ones where he grew up featuring Ana De Armas, may be worth looking into, the Continental show is a prequal with a young Winston.
I have been waiting for you to get to this one - I have to say, I think this is my favorite in the series for so many reasons. And GOD Donny Yen is amazing as Kane. And as the Harbinger, you have the legend, Clancy Brown. If you have never seen Highlander, get that on your list for sure.
Always check for post credit scenes and the continental series takes place I think in the 1970s
17:44 that's exactly what they were going for. Great observation
17:24 that look was capable to impressed not only girls but boys also just like narcissus 17:45 the rage in his eyes and john vs killa fight create an unimaginable environment in theatres but the most beautiful and emotional thing was that scene which make to place my hand on my heart was that when marqie ask what he like to be written on his grave and when he said loving husband john loving husband and at last when he remembering his wife in his dying moment i was so lucky and feel honoured to experienced this movie in theatres ❤❤
did you see the tattoo on winston arm.. when he said good bye at john wick grave? he is in the same family as john..the Ruska Roma.. he was his mentor
6:59 Even John had his little Daisy, the whole reason this started in the first place (Yea, I know it's a dog vs a human, but she was still a furbaby)
Didn’t intend to watch your reaction to John Wick 4 just yet, but I couldn’t skip your comments on those violent scenes in the movie. They were sometimes almost as brutal as those scenes. I was literally dying laughing 🤣🤣🤣!!!
Fun fact, the majority of Special forces operators have daughters. There have actually been studies on why men that are attracted to life-threatening professions tend to have daughters 3:1 over sons.
At the 33 minute mark when he tells his dog 'balls' and the dog yeah goes for the balls but then hikes his leg on the guy's face afterwards....YES!!!
I was not expecting the plot twist of the dog hiking his leg up!
@@reactswithjax and poor John's dog never got a name.
The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre is so beautiful. Great place to die.
It's stunning! Although, I would not want to die there. 😂
So sad to think that Lance Reddick (the concierge) actually died right as they were doing press for the films release.
30:42 the stunt coordinator chose this location for this scene. The director found a set on the opposite side but the stunt guys wanted something more challenging and basically drooled when they saw these steps. Keanu Reeves gifted his five stuntmen with personalized $10,000 submariner watches and the rest of the stunt crew he gave them personalized shirts that said how many times they met their demise. I like how they ended the movie. You really don’t know if John is dead. They could’ve just killed the John Wick name and let John live under another name. 34:25 you were right. They started at 30 paces then they had to move 10 paces closer (20 paces). I would love to see a John Wick prequel movie that shows him meeting Helen and what he has to do to get out of this world. 38:09 this movie he cut out many of his lines. According to the director about half of his original lines Keanu cut. 38:52 apparently that was from a video game called “The Hong Kong Massacre”
Clancy Brown (with the hourglass) was the main guard in Shawshank, and the bad guy on Highlander.
Your commentary throught the movies are awesome, I know you will continue excellent reactions.
Thank you so much!
besides the continental, lionsgate announced they plan on making more stories in the john wick universe
That's great!
1:22 A really awesome introduction to this movie that you cut almost in it's entirety and for a 40 minute video you cut out tons of important dialogue
My favourite theory about the end is that John isn't dead but in the club which was called heaven & hell. Matches the words in the end if he is in heaven or in hell.
Ooh, that's a good theory!
The indoor scenes from the osaka hotel was filmed in Berlin, excactly in the ICC Berlin (international Congres center). But it is not anymore use for congresses. Better for filmmakers i guess ;-)
At the same place there are much more Movies created. For example Parts of Captain Amaerica - civil war, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and Atomic Blonde.
16:22 That's Martial Artist / Actor , SCOTT ADKINS . He's wearing Prosthetic makeup and Bodysuit (i guess) to look that big.
He did a great job!
I was having a rough day, called out of work, and ultimately decided to see this on the big screen, even though it was going to be released on digital about 6 days later. That was just the best decision. And as I'd only seen the first one in theaters (while it was still only discussed through word of mouth before it became the crazy action franchise that everyone saw), it was overall rather fitting. Plus I'm a lifelong New Yorker, and given where much of these movies take place, it's very fun to watch them with an NYC audience.
What a wonderful way to spend a day! ❤
After watching this movie, compare John Cusack's movie Gross Pointe Blank and see if John Wick is a dark version of that movie. Anyway Keanu said that he's taking a year off before filming the sequel but will cameo in Ana de Armas' John Wick spinoff Ballerina movie.
I'm sorry but I was watching the movie half the time and the other half couldn't stop being captivated by your eyes, the color, the shine, maybe the eyelashes funnelling the attention into your eyes themselves... WOW 😍
This movie was fantastic, took my mom to see it when it came out and loved it! the ending they could do like Top Gun and come back in 20 years when he's older or something who knows!
They are planning more john wick movies, jury's still out on if they will resurrect john or make spinoff with blind dude or doggy man.
I hope they make the spinoffs of both of them, awesome characters. Also Donnie Yen (Blind man) is one of my favorite action actors around.
That marquee is penny wise from the most recent remake of IT. Also the one missing a finger at the beginning is from The Shawshank Redemption. Mr. Wick sends a grand example of what should happen if animals are mistreated. In a sense he’s protecting all the lambs from would be Darin’s. We can only hope to live up to the legend in our attempt to protect the ones we love, or in this case the memories of them. That gun exists as well as the shells, I believe it’s called dragons breath.
There is talks of a John Wick 5 which might have something to do with the after credits or could be the tv show which I completely forgot despite viewing a few episodes.
Always love your reactions on this "Death & Murder" movie channel! 🥰🤣
Little known fact, after the 2nd John Wick movie, a game was made. That scene where it's a top view of him fighting with the fire shotgun, is how the game looks. xD
Your reactions are so great. I really can't wait to watch your reaction to chapter 5. John will be back!!!!
Not my favourite John Wick movie, but I do enjoy seeing a movie I know in a movie - with locations I am familiar with. Always so entertaining for some reason.
the guy who plays the Marquis played Pennywise the clown in the new IT movies. he's great actor from a good acting family. and "Did John Die???"
He is such a great actor! Although, I haven't seen IT since horror movies are way too scary for me. Also, now I am questioning if John actually died!
Those SKARSGÅRD brothers are something 😍
John and Cain arranged that duel when they were sitting in the church, and if you listen to what John says you know he isn't dead. Because John says "maybe not" in response to Cain saying one of them has to die. Also John's stone is sitting on an undisturbed plot, there is no sign of it being an actual grave with his body in it.
Hi Jax, your reactions are just great. I don't have sub on any reaction channels, but when I found yours I just have to. So now I'm in your and Lamby gang:D. Have a nice day:)
Hi! Thank you so much! It makes me so happy to know that you enjoy watching my reactions. Lamby and I are thrilled to have you here! ❤🐑
You're so welcome :). It's just a small support from Czech Republic:)
if u noticed..Cain shot John wick at the areas where John shot the doctor in john wick 3. all non fatal.
27:20 "Nobody is getting out and going 'OMG I hit someone'"
Maybe because of the 20 people running around shooting guns at each other?
My advice to you is this: If you ever find yourself in your car in the middle of a gunfight, drive away. Fast. Don't get out. Even if you hit someone, just drive away as fast as you can. You can work out the hit and run thing with the cops later. Trust me, they won't charge you with leaving the scene of an active gunfight.
Hi new subscriber just wanted to say that I love your enthusiasm and also the character that scott adkins plays is inspired by Sammo Hung who is known for being very acrobatic and agile for his size.
Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing! Your comment just put the biggest smile on my face! I didn't realize Scott Adkin's character was based off of someone. That's really cool!
Just for clarification there is no evidence John actually died. If you look at his wounds none of them were in lethal spots.
2 Reactions on one day... that sounds like a good weekend. With that start... :D
Hope you have a great weekend too. Keep up the good work!
I'm so glad you are enjoying the double upload Friday!!! Hope you have an amazing weekend, too! ❤
The incendiary shotgun is real. It's called 'Dragon's Breath'.
Wow! 🤯
reminds me of fpsRussia :')
Finally the wait is over 😂
💎Thank you 🤩
So glad you enjoyed it!! ❤
John Wick 5 is officially confirmed so they'll likely pull a "he just passed out from blood loss and they faked his death" and bring Keanu back again even though he's done John's entire story now unless 5 is a prequel or something which would make sense, for how the movies go 1 is a standalone sort-of prequel then 2, 3 and 4 are a trilogy
No body, no death. They are doing more.
There's a new film set in the John Wick universe called Ballerina. Ana de Armas stars and Keanu Reeves has a small role (so it takes place before John dies). Winston is also in it.
That's so cool! Thanks for letting me know!
@@reactswithjax I just found out it takes place between John Wick 3 and 4. It's Lance Reddick's final film before he died (Reddick plays the concierge at the Continental).
Watch these Comedies: The Ringer, Date Night, Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy , Jo Koy : Don't Make Him Angry , The 40-Year-Old Virgin , It's Hard Not to Love Mrs. Doubtfire , You Don't Mess with the Zohan
I thought you're not gonna upload this one. Well I'm ready for your reaction
Laurence Fishburne is so amazing in this series. I'd watch an entire series just dedicated to the Bowery King.
In my headcanon the Bowery king is what Laurence fishburne gets up to when he’s not hanging out with his family in Blackish.
It was a helluva time between ‘Nam and now. That *would* be a great spin-off, following his character from “Apocalypse Now!” to his rise as King of the Bowery. (It’s the same character in my head-canon)
john wick is mostly inspired by korean movie "The Man From Nowhere". suit, night club theme etc. you should check it out. its a great movie.
John wick didn’t promise that girl he just said he understands
The dragons breath shotgun thing is real. There's a former hella popular youtuber that did insane stunts with guns, like lucky to be alive crazy, an American obviously. If you type in "FPSRussia Dragons Breath" is should come up.. it's got 29M views. The director did confirm directly that it's in the movie thanks to that youtube vid.
35:35 Love the reaction 😄😄
its called dragon's breath rounds.
What a perfect name for it!
back shortly before this movie came out I heard some things about it. Not sure how accurate any of these things are, and I haven't really looked into them, but when they were making John Wick 4 they were trying to decide it they were going to make it 1 long movie or split it into 4 and 5. Not sure what they decided. Don't know if there will be a 5. Don't know if John is really dead!
Maybe someone else might know if they've heard or whatever!
Jax, I’ve really liked your reactions to these movies. I wanna watch your reactions to the Avengers movies now and can’t wait to watch John Wick 5 with ya.
I had the same reaction you did at the end when John shot the Marquee. That made the whole movie.
I THINK the Brazier scene was an homage to the 70's TV Series "Kung Fu". As a "Graduation" to being a Shaolin Monk "Qui Chang" had to move a Similar Cauldron, Searing the Dragon Symbols on the inside of his arms.
In a Homage to "The Warriors", they have a Sultry Black lady DJ (only showing her lips) sending codes out over the Airwaves, Giving the information the Assassins need to find him.
35:15 "How did John not hit him?
Mainly by not firing his gun.
He had something else in mind for that bullet.
What an amazing plot twist!
John Wick 5 has been announced and un-announced multiple times now so... who knows what's gonna happen. I would love for them to let John rest but on the other hand, sequels have been tacked onto even more conclusive endings. I could easily see the heaven or hell question be about John's state of mind with the grave just being symbolic.
