Ash was right, that is the Lieutenant Guard from Shawshank. His name is Clancy Brown and he is an awesome character actor. He was also the villain in Highlander and has played several key figures in tv and film. If he's in a movie then it's bound to be decent.
you forgot to mention knock knock and replicas... yea, anyone who makes a point of watching all keanu movies is in for some real fucking terrible garbage
Donnie Yen was actively involved in the creation of the character of Caine. Before he signed on he was supposed to portray a stereotypical kung fu master with a sword and wearing traditional Chinese clothing and he flat out told them no. He came up with that he wears clothing similar to John Wick, has a grim sense of humor, and even his blindness and his name!
John wick 5 could be a prequel. Showing John's impossible task for Viggo, John meeting his wife, the first interactions with Winston. Its the only part of the story that hasnt been told yet

One of the hardest things about John Wick that no one ever talks about is that he just walks in the open, no disguises, no trying to hide. He welcomes all of the smoke. I absolutely LOVE the ending to this movie. It's perfect because it's open to interpretation. Notice that John was shot in the exact same spots that he shot the doc in the beginning of Chapter 3. Then when they're at the tombstones his doggo looks off to the side as if he sees him. Me personally, I like to think he's dead and is at peace with his wife and best friend, Helen.
Which for me is the perfect ending for this. Leave the John Wick story alone after this. Spin offs.... OK. The fight up the stairs is a reference to Sisyphus, the Greek king of Corinth. He cheated death twice and was therefore forced by Hades, for all eternity, to push an enormous boulder up a hill only for it to roll back down the hill every time it got near the top. In one scene it visualises what John Wick has been doing for 4 movies now - constantly trying to get away from his old life only to be drawn back down into the pit. It also represents life: struggles will bring you down, but you have to keep trying otherwise you'll never crawl off the shitheap.
Ash, you are completely right about how they had to handicap Donnie Yen to give John a chance. I don't know if they actually did that but for the last movie when he fights the two actors from "The Raid" who are also great pro martial artists, John likewise was injured and had been on the run and was tired. It provides an in-world believable reason why a almost 60 year old Keanu can't keep up with a professional, lifelong, martial artist like Donnie. Its a nice touch to make it work with good story telling. Awesome vid, love you guys.
Keanu's performance and each of the movies in order perfectly represent the FOUR stages of grief: Anger, Drepression, Acceptance and Bargaining. Great reaction as usual! ❤
Man, Hiroyuki Sanada is criminally underappreciated. Just like how you’ll find Donnie Yen as the mixed martial arts guy in movies (or back then it was Jackie Chan), you’ll find Hiroyuki almost always as the badass swordsman.
No Scott Adkins is the guy in the fat suit playing the German Gangster he is Amazing. I watched him in Ninja, Ninja 2, and Undisputed 2. He is truly special.
For me, Hiro is one of the best martial artists. If you need someone who wields a katana flawlessly, call Hiro. My favorite actor, but really underrated
Between the synchronized PENCIL celebration, Ana & Hannah's "how does he survive that!?" And Ash's "IT'S JOHN WICK!" And so many more great memorable scenes, this was a great reaction. Congratulations on the Sponsor mate 🤘🏻
29:00 - this was actually the hardest role he ever did. He recently said this role nearly broke him physically and mentally, and he pleased with the director to kill him off so he wouldn't have to do this anymore.
The ending of the film was left open because they didn't know if they really wanted to bring John back because they said it didn't make sense but the director said if he or someone on his team can come up with a really good story then it's possible. Also, John Wick will make an appearance in the upcoming Ballerina story with Ana de Armas who Keanu worked with on the film Knock Knock. It takes place in between Chapter 3 & Chapter 4. Plus, they can always do a prequel style John Wick film if they chose. There are so many options with this assassins' world. Great film and great reaction.
In my opinion one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Watched it 3 times in theaters and once at home. Its just perfect. It doesn’t need a super complex story to be this good, it just is. And the balls they had to kill him off in the end. Well done movie. Also, this reaction was everything lmao
One of your best reactions, did the film justice! It was my favorite JW film too, lots of great martial artists packed into 1 film and awesome fight choreography. Music, cinematography, set design, everything was just art as Ash said. A fantastic series overall. It's so nice to watch films where the passion from the actors and filmmakers is so obvious.
Also, there have been hints pointing at John still being alive. And in the final show down, "Those that cling to death, live. Those that cling to life, die." I loved this movie. I believe that the tomestone at the end represents the death of the John who was giving up his life as an assassin to be with his wife, the strongest time he felt alive. For now in the next installment, he has to live the life he had before her as the Baba Yaga, back to being an assassin, without an obligation to the high table. The death at the end was the death of his 'life' where everyone saw a man who didn't want to do what he did before, because of his love for his wife. Now he clings to the death of his former life.
I love how it completely went over your heads when Winston said "goodbye my son" in russian, because you were totally in your feelings from Johns "maybe" death. Btw EVERYONE got their preferred ending: Winston got his hotel AND position back. Caine got his daughter and freedom back. John got out of all of it again - and if his death was faked it would make sense. Because the table is the only one who did NOT get what they wanted - AND since John also killed the one above the table in the beginning, they're just not gonna let that slide no matter what..
Great video. I suspect Winston was actually John's father. The tattoo on his hand at the grave was an Eastern Orthodox Church cross. Winston called him his son at the grave. Always calls him by his full first name. Looks after him like noone else. Did what he could for his son without breaking the High Table rules.
Hannah made a good point about stakes and John's vulnerability. Ever since the last film when he fell off the roof. They have raised his damage factor to unrealistic levels. If you want realism than Nobody 2021 is more grounded than Wick.
I actually cried watching this movie. 😅 The message about brotherhood, friendship, being a husband and a man is incredibly inspiring and motivating. Made me appreciate my life and my wife. The best!
John is definetly not dead. He lived his whole life as Boogeyman and a killer. He most likely faked his death so he can live his life peacefully with his second name Jardani. Because if you think about it, Caine got the same wounds like John and he survived. Also when they're at the tombstones his doggo looks off to the side as if he sees him. And when the King and Winston talked to each other and the King asked if he's in hell or heaven they both laughed when Winston said: Who knows? , meaning for me they are joking because they know John is somwhere out there living finally in peace far from his duty.
John says, "those who cling to death live," so he is alive through faking death. Caine says, "those who cling to life die," so he dies because he wants to live to see his daughter again.
Usually you wait for Hannah's reactions, but THIS MOVIE is soooo made for Ash. His reactions are hilarious. The more people die, the more he smiles and laughes. Watching John Wick 4 is like, somebody makes love to him. He is so happy while watching.🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Epic film. I think you'd love Extraction 1 & 2👍 53:29 yep, I was one of those that walked out thinking the credits rolled on for too long for there to be an end credits scene. Didn't help that the cinema put the lights up pretty much straight away.
Oh boy I've been DYING to see the three of you come back! Let's go! Also by the way everyone, come on... We already know: John Wick is NOT dead. There's going to be Chapter 5 in 2025. Just two more years before the grand finale!
For those wondering if he's dead or alive, here's what the director says: In a new interview with Empire magazine, “John Wick: Chapter 4” director Chad Stahelski revealed for the first time that a more concrete ending to the action tentpole was filmed and tested. In this version of the film, there’s no question that John Wick survives the events of the duel. “We had a different ending,” Stahelski said. “[The theatrical ending] was the ending Keanu and I wanted, but we shot a different ending. We shot an ending where you actually saw John Wick at the end of the movie. So it was very clear that he was still alive. The audiences we tested with absolutely preferred the ambiguous ending.” And number 5 has been confirmed.
When the Bowrie asked if he’s in heaven or hell, that is a key question because it is laying the groundwork for the next John Wick series. John Wick makes a deal with the devil and comes back as an avenging revenant.
John Wick got killed by a friends hand, not by an enemy. He died as a free man without obligantions while the sunset on a beautiful place. His wife in his heart and peace in his mind. It was his salvation and a perfect end.
The long shot scene with the incendiary gun was actually based on a video game called Hong Kong Massacre that I believe the Director played. This movie is amazing though and they leave it off where they can end it but also continue because even though we see John fall over we never really see if he did die. He could have fainted then was brought back to good health, probably even asked Winston and the Bowery King to fake his death.
I did think it was unreal how he'd fall so high off buildings, get hit by cars. BUT he also has on a bulletproof body suit, so you can argue that he'd feel less affected from it.
She’s definitely incredibly beautiful, makes you kinda understand why they’re made to cover their faces by their husbands 😂. Seriously, middle eastern women are in a league of their own. I just wanna know if Hannah has an older sister though ! 😂 Ash is a lucky ass dude.
Was wondering when you guys were gonna watch this! Hope you three enjoyed it. This is legit my fav movie. I would love to watch a movie with Ash, he is so good at hyping things up and making it more awesome.
The director Chad Stahelski wasn't just inspired by filmaking. The Top Down scene was directly inspired by the game Hong Kong Massacre and a lot of the visuals were inspired from Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin's Creed.
I just caught this but in the third movie when he gets stitched up , the docotr had john shoot him in the same spot but directed where to aim so it wouldn't be fatal, Johns fatal wound was in that spot
I always laugh that people watch this and throughout the movie say John couldn't survive the fall in the club scene, the hits from the cars, that third story fall onto the car, but at the end swear that he can't be dead.
Great review guys. You all are my favorite movie reactors. You're very passionate and that makes my follow-along that much more enjoyable. Thank you! But here's the thing: the action and cinematography was untouchable. However, I totally agree with Hanna. The reason I liked the first 3 John Wick movies was the realism and John's natural human characteristic. The writers took that away from him, along with his mystery. He became so predictable. Like you knew he was going to survive just because he's John Wick. That first fight scene made me so angry: How could he get to the elder so easily after having to almost die just to meet him the first time. All in all, still a great movie. Will have to watch it a couple more times before I add it to my personal collection though. Keep up the good work!
This is the best action film of the year. John wick 4 is most definitely the greatest movie out of the entire franchise after the 1st one. I love this movie!! Such a thrill ride
FINALLY. You have no idea how bad I needed this video. I had a rough day at work, I was tired, and was feeling miserable. I opened UA-cam and what’s the first video that popped up? This one. One of my favorite reactors and his lovely ladies reacting to one of my new favorite movies. I feel so much better now. The choreography in the movie is out of this world. It’s so creative and tense but still realistic. And that single shot of John killing those guys with the rifle with incendiary bullets is nothing short of amazing. And you’re 💯 right about the director making Donnie Yen blind to make the fights between him and John more realistic. I agree with Hannah and Anna that John isn’t really dead. I think he faked his death so he could finally stay retired. And from what I’ve heard, there will be more John Wick movies. If you feel like it you should watch a video where Scott Adkins breaks down the fight scenes in this franchise and little details that you may have missed and what it was like for him to be in this movie. As always, your reactions never disappoint. Nothing but respect and love to you, Anna and Hannah ❤️💪
This was a phenomenal reaction! I highly doubt he's dead. If the character doesnt get a bullet to the head they're probably alive. The director seems willing to bring him back eventually. One of the future sequels will probably create a reason for him to come back.
Niceee! You know the Japanse guy in the begin of the movie is the one from the last samurai who trained tom cruise as samurai. And boyka is the fat guy and the spanisch bad guy is from undisputed 3 also
5 could be a prequel but let's remember we never saw his body I'm sure the doctor could've fixed him up so we'll just have to wait and see what 5 is gonna be about
8:55 Tracker refers to his relationship with his dog as being "her support animal", but at the end the dog lifts a leg to pee on Chidi after Tracker kills him. Character error - a female dog would *squat* to pee, MALE dogs lift a leg to pee like Tracker's dog did!
Greatest 4 movie franchise since Lethal Weapon, which is another series you guys should watch. You should also check out the Extraction movies with Chris Hemsworth, they are fantastic as well!

Any reaction with Ashes sis is worth watching, a Goddess with that beauty is beyond incredible!
She’s definitely incredibly beautiful, makes you kinda understand why they’re made to cover their faces by their husbands 😂. Seriously, middle eastern women are in a league of their own. I just wanna know if Hannah has an older sister though ! 😂 Ash is a lucky ass dude.
Watch that opening scene on a big loud stereo, it's insane. The punches felt like an earthquake in the theater.
Was wondering when you guys were gonna watch this! Hope you three enjoyed it. This is legit my fav movie. I would love to watch a movie with Ash, he is so good at hyping things up and making it more awesome.
Loved this video! The reactions when john’s fate started to unfold after the duel were so good. My favourite ever reaction video!
Good to see lil sis back for this 4th film.
"Flame On!!!!" Ash at his finest.
The director Chad Stahelski wasn't just inspired by filmaking. The Top Down scene was directly inspired by the game Hong Kong Massacre and a lot of the visuals were inspired from Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin's Creed.
Been watching all your John wick reactions
You all look so different. Thanks for completing the final 4th part. The OG’s trio are back
What about the dog seeing someone at the graveyard, that's John Wick
I just caught this but in the third movie when he gets stitched up , the docotr had john shoot him in the same spot but directed where to aim so it wouldn't be fatal, Johns fatal wound was in that spot
Great reaction, please more of you 3 together!!! But that manscape bit add was funny 😂😂
Congrats to you having a sponser!!! Love Ur reactions Greetings from Germany
I always laugh that people watch this and throughout the movie say John couldn't survive the fall in the club scene, the hits from the cars, that third story fall onto the car, but at the end swear that he can't be dead.
Ash's sister is the best. So sweet, innocent and caring. Not to mention beautiful
Find someone who loves you as much as Ash loves John Wick movies.
He is not dead, Remember in the third installment He shot his doctor in the exact same places he got shot😂
Ash's sister has the best reaction in this video. She needs to do more reactions
😂😂😂😂😂 facts
Best advertisement I’ve ever seen! You two are so funny 😂
The second you all went PENCIL I was like yaa this is truly a reaction worth watching 😂😂😂😂😂
Finally Ive been waiting for this reaction!!!
Donnie Yen also played a blind guy in Rogue One.
Bro your sister is gorgeous
"A shot for a shot, symbolisms" - that was a good one Ash!
Thank you for the reaction! I enjoyed it! Constantine(2005) deserves a reaction from you guys. You won't be disappointed. P.S. Trust me.
The suit actually helps when he falls from high places. It is not just bulletproof but padded as well to cushion the fall
This is the best action film of the year. John wick 4 is most definitely the greatest movie out of the entire franchise after the 1st one. I love this movie!! Such a thrill ride
Extraction 2
And boyka is the fat guy and the spanisch bad guy is from undisputed 3 also
Hannah looks amazing!!!!
Seeing John Wick smile when Killa started to run away was quite horrifying.
If you guys wanna see another series of movies like these, watch The Equalizer movies. Denzel Washington absolutely kills it in those movies.
“He’s like Bob from Tekken” 😂😂
Ash you know you gotta make some "Im Wet For John Wick" merch now right
Ash’s sister is smokin’ hot, gad dawmn.
She's far too old for you, kid.
@@DeathWish92 I’m 35 lol.
36:17 nah the insurance claims will be minimal. From what I've been told, insurance won't pay for any damages if it happened at the arc de triumph.
Addendum: Some insurance will do 50/50 with liability of an accidents
Ash, your sister is smokin' hot.
The scene where John has to fight his way across Paris to get to the church with the woman on the radio, that’s a reference to a film called The Warriors (1979). Ash would absolutely LOVE that movie.
CONSEQUENCES!!!!
Bro your Manscape ad was 10/10. I usually skip those but I had to watch yours. Perfect acting.
Is your sister single? Lol
