The fan on the left side. You might have to replace the entire assembly. You definitely can source the fan and replace it individually. I think I linked it in the description
3yr old LG (LRFXC2416S) IF-E code goes away with power off reset. But it comes back in minutes to over 7 days. Error code stays away longer if door ice maker left turned off. I took back panel out. No ice & looked clean. Both fans spun easily like the new ones in video. ?Replace back panel (fans) or other suggestion Thx
So just one be clear, you replaced the evaporator cover that has two fan? Double check your work, you might have twisted the cover or maybe you didn’t connect the ice room fan. Open it back up. Keep me posted
@@appliancerepairshorts i have not replaced anything yet. I took evaporator cover off as per your video. Both fans looked normal...spun easily. Placed evaporator cover back. IF-E error gone for several days till I turned door ice maker back on. IF-E code returned after few hours. With error code off, I can feel ice spinning and moving air through vents (door open but magnet to activate door switch) suspect it's a fan issue but wonder if it could be a motherboard issue? Thanks... for your great video!
@@LemonDropper7 Yes! I replaced the ice fan which is on the back panel inside the bottom freezer drawer. I was told you have to replace the hole panel by LG and per UA-cam video. It has 2 fans and is $$$. I took out the panel and got the number on ice fan and just replaced the one fan. The one on the right looking at the panel from the back. It works grea now.
Double check your work, also see if ice is building up. Make sure you are replacing the correct fan. The left side is the ice fan. The center is evaporator
Spent over $4000 dollars on this fridge, 1 1/2 years ago, had nothing but problems and LG refuses to stand behind their product DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!!
I actually just posted a video talking about LGs nothing but problems. I actually feel your pain. The problem is you are stuck paying labor, but it will eventually happen again. I tell my customers stay clear from LG refrigerators. It’s funny the once were good. They still have good washers and dryers. Keep fighting with them. Good luck
I’m trying to find the ice maker fan for LG Model LRFDS3016S. I am getting the IFE error code. But I don’t know what is the correct fan.

The part on Amazon says it's an evaporator fan. Is it the same type/model as the ice fan?

They're easily serviceable, though. If you don't know how to service these, then i can see why ppl hate them
Agreed
@appliancerepairshorts I majority of the time, it's just ice on the fan and even that is easy to take out.
@@mcham0846 yep. They get stuffed and the door is slightly open. Enough to not sound the alarm and enough to cause ice to buildup
