I built a big one exactly because in my Clone King the nutrient temperature was way too high and caused expensive seedlings to fail. External pumps are definitely the best way to go for clones or seedlings. I bought my 13 gallon buckets and lids, valves, hose, bulkhead fittings from you a couple years ago after watching your fallponic videos. Great setup Gary and I thank you for for sharing your knowledge with us.

Gary is the man when comes to hydro builds, hands down!
Grew some monster plants with his help!
    Thanks again G!

If you get a whole saw for metal it has smaller teeth less likely to break the plastic and you do not have to go backwards

I run two small air stones in my clone king. It helps with keeping the water fresh. Just can’t run it 24/7 if your not cooling the water in some way ie chiller, ice. I’ve noticed a major difference in rooting time. It does help

You can use an ice pick to start the holes for the sprayer heads.

    HOPE THIS HELPS...
Water temp should be between 68°-72°F degrees.
And when I clean mine, I run a vinegar run.
If you think you have a fungi in water use hydrogen peroxide that will kill good and bad bacteria.
    Just trying to help.
Also I have aquarium heater set at 70° in the water. Mine is in a shed, so night time roots stay warm.

Hi there. After watching this video multiple times...... I had to build one!!
    1. How long before roots will start to appear?
    2. How often should I run the watering system and for how long each time?
    Cheers,
    Chad

The pump should run all of the time.
You will see roots developing within a few days to a week.
      Thanks for watching and commenting.

which house plants are you cloning there i think i have one like that but do not know what it call got from someone had over 10 years

I soak all my parts in white distilled vinegar before and after every use.
Yes there is some sort of bacteria that grows in the dark . But again soaking parts In vinegar takes care of that
Another good tip is using half tap water along with distilled. The chlorine cuts down on bacteria being able to form.

Gary would it be possible to cut that bucket in half and shorten it? I like this set up but I’d have to new light dedicated just for it . I like using my lil 2 gallon cloner cuz it’s low profile and can set it right on my kitchen counter with a couple T5s under the kitchen cupboards. Bout 26 inch clearance between Cabinet countertops..
Anyways I think that would be a good product for those with space limitations but like clones on deck.

Question 1: How much & what kind(s) of nutrient(s) to use in the bucket?
Question 2: Can you ship 100 "RINGS" / "COLLARS" to Canada?

1 - I ph'ed the water to 6 and didn't use nutrients at all in this video, I would suggest a rooting hormone to help get faster rooting and some of your usual bloom formula and micro's, it's a hard question, I have done it many ways, I will do a video at some point on this, I wish I had time to do a ton of videos but soon, I did do a clone video if you check out some of my older cloning videos.
2 - yes , email us at dave@pahydroponics.com and we will see what we can do. Cheers! Gary

Do you think the EcoPlus 185 has enough power for this build? If the bucket were smaller?

Hi Gary, which house plants are you cloning there at the end? Your other videos feature several plants you have in your store in the background which look so cool, just wondering what they are. That ending too... made me choke on my coffee and laugh a little too hard for too long. Great info as always and very entertaining, thanks from Australia!

You must of not had enough water in it bro... Or use a timer. I get 100 percent every time with same cloner had it for seven years, just keep clean replaced manifold a few times and good to go.

The 8 gallon doesn't have the rim to sit the manifold on, 13 works best for this one. G
