Great build. I would suggest two improvements. Replace that bucket or paint it black, this will cut down on algae growth inside the bucket. Next replace that pump with an inline pump to remove heat from the reservoir, pythium is a real problem, cooler temps helps. Additionally add Hydroguard into the reservoir as another defense against pythium. For another upgrade think about a DIY venturi injection system. Examples are all over you tube. A cycle timers is another, research says shorter run times off 30 seconds on and 3 minutes off creates roots faster "supposedly". Please except my two cents as not criticism but the hope of reduce the learning curve for others who may try this method of cloning. I made my own cloner a while back and had a great time doing it. I am a master gardener with decades experience in hydroponics, it can become an obsession. Happy gardening.
I put this together using your Amazon links. The conditions in the bucket seem stagnant and I’ve had two die from the root rot issue. The pump in the bucket is really causing some hot conditions in the bucket as well. How is your setup doing?
A uv light will take care of any algae, or a small ball of oat straw.. i agree with a venturi, a small O2 hose would be more than enough.. if u have a small gap for the power cord would be more than enough
Great build! I've done the same in a rectangular tote with that same Vivosun 800gph pump and the red 360-degree sprayers. Wanted to comment that instead of giving up a whole hole (you could use an outer hole, btw, for the cord to be less in the way of the plants), I notch my buckets for tower systems down through the rim just a short way, and thin enough of a groove to just squeeze the power cord into. A drill bit run on its side works well for that. A dab of silicone on the inside, snap the lid back on, and you've got a pretty clean-looking power feed. Oh, and putting the pump inside a mesh bag (like a paint strainer bag) that's zip-tied shut around the pipe and power cord will filter out any bad stuff that will try to clog the nozzles. Once again though, great build! And thanks for showing the tests of the irrigation sprinklers.
Next time when you drill into pipe. Use v blocks. It will help secure pipe. You need to clamp down v blocks to isolate movement during drilling also to show operation, remove lid. Put clear plastic on top, then show audience the spray.
Thanks for sharing! You've inspired me to try this! I'm a new subscriber with a "black thumb"! I've never had success with plants but I'm going to try this. Do I really need a high-volume pump to operate the misters? I plan on trying your last version with the PVC pipe. I was hoping that a pump between 100 gals and 400 gals an hour would suffice as I'm thinking of making several, each with its own pump. I appreciate your time and effort and how you go into detail to explain the process and make it easy! 😄🛶
I can’t remember if I linked in the description, but I ordered specific products for the system. I think hormondin 3 powder would help. Perhaps a teaspoon and check results in a few weeks. Happy gardening
Do you have a part number. I have looked for those everywhere. Sadly I bought a number off of Amazon, and they are furniture sized, evidently... way to big.

Great tips. Happy gardening

Its kind of hard to find a small inline pump like that. Is there a specific term i should look out for?

@@saintjohnny45fuel pump😊 the only other inlines i can think of besides pools are salt water aquariums, but are probably too big for a 5g bucket😅

I can’t wait to try it! Thank you for sharing and happy gardening brother!❤
Will be making this! thanks it’s going to save me a considerable amount of money doing this myself… great DIY hack!!!
I suppose you could add 1:5 yeast and sugar and you got yourself more co2 to the plants as well!
Gracias por compartir con todos este precioso método de agricultura un saludo y mil gracias
Your very welcome.
you prefer the collars to the 2 inch net cups and rockwool? and as far as the timer what about 4 seconds on and 4 minutes off?
Love the video! Without a plant in the center, would a single red 360-degree spray be good enough for the entire bucket?
I think so!

A small pump will work fine. I put a link in the description a while back. The pump was fairly inexpensive. Cheers.
better tohave spray heads and mist the roots would be my preference. nice job ZENGARDEN
PERFECT 🤩! I’ll be trying this very soon. Thank you for sharing
Happy gardening
Does your VIVOSUN pump shut off periodically. I copied this setup, but the pump shuts off every now and then, I'm worried its overheating.
Thanks
Thanks for the video!
What is the size of the pump output female connection? 1/5’’ as well?
I mean the adapter you connected
I think I put the pump link in description
Does the water in the bucket need any type of hormone starter? Or is it just plain tap water?

Great tutorial. Is there certain types of plants this kind of cloner is good for and ones that are not?
Yes, it works on Jazz Cabbage too😜
Works well with any plants you would put clippings in water to propagate.
Where can i buy those Firehouse buckets for $3?
Firehouse Subs sells them at there restaurants
Hi, good day. I am new to your channel, and I wanted to know if the pump stays on all the time?
On a timer I think I mentioned it in the vid.
Where did you find that 5 way 1/2" fitting they don't have them at the plumbing supply store or ace hardware or anywhere around here!⚠️
Drip depot online
Search: 5 way 1/2" pvc cross. They are everywhere, including Home Depot and Lowes.
Do you have a part number. I have looked for those everywhere. Sadly I bought a number off of Amazon, and they are furniture sized, evidently... way to big.
Amazon
Appreciate it
What size is the half inch pvc sections?
1/2”
I'm sorry I mean length wise
@donpacaso looks like 8 - 10 inches
I used a 3" brass threaded pipe for the rotating sprinkler head.
what was the tap die number please
The tap is a 10-24 and I used a #22 drill bit which works fine for the softer material. I use the same spray heads that he does.
👍🏼
Cheers my friend.
I know it’s only plastic but you shouldn’t use a drill to run a tap
