      @EsromFF - you can buy all of these parts over there in Denmark. I know AliExpress ships to Denmark! As for the buckets - they're available in Copenhagen somewhere, for sure. Probably from a gardening center or someplace like that. I never shopped for buckets in Copenhagen. LOL. As for the 3D-printed parts - I'm sure I could be talked into sending a set to DK. :)

    To me it looks like the s2 and the ground has a jumper wire but I could be wrong and I don’t want to fry my timers or pumps lol thanks for the vids I can’t wait to finish building it.

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  11 місяців тому

      Yes - you want to jumper the ground to S2 because that's what switches on and off to provide the power to the motor. Only the negative gets switched. I created a schematic for you: aero-gro.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Hang-Ten-Schematic.png

    Im wondering if you could make a two plant system with 3 buckets and t connectors to split the send and return lines, if the pumps can handle it.

      @SuperAjej - That's definitely worth testing. In fact, I can do that in an upcoming video. Thanks for that!

      Here you go! The new design is a bit smaller and more compact, which is good. Also, there is now a hole for the 12V plug. www.thingiverse.com/thing:6129799
      Also, here is a link to new page for the Hang-Ten: aero-gro.com/product/aero-gro-hang-ten/

    Hello, very good video. I just wanted to provide an idea, I have put the deposit where I have the water with fertilizer, I have it at a lower level than the deposit where I have the plants and everything is connected with a tube. So with a single pump I do the job. The water returns to the tank on its own. I don't know if I have explained myself.😃

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes - that's a great design. It sounds like either "drainback" or "nutrient film technique." It's nice because it's very simple. Simplicity is always a good idea in hydroponics, since a technical failure can so easily lead to a crop failure. Keeping it simple minimizes the risk. I like your deaign for larger, permanent installations. It's a much larger volume of water, which is why I don't use it myself, but I like it.

    Can the pumps handle a 3 grow bucket setup?

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes - I use a 100 Watt pump on the larger systems. The larger pump can handle up to 6 buckets, each bucket running two spray nozzles.

      Hi Larry - Which product? I currently have the "Genesis" tabletop garden, a 5-in-1 meter available for purchase. The "Hang Ten" unit is due for release on July 15, and you can place an order for that now. Those are already selling and I haven't even fully built a web page for it yet. How crazy is that! If you subscribe on the website you'll receive an email when the garden becomes available. If you'd like to pre-order the "Hand Ten" you can do that here: aero-gro.com/product/aero-gro-bucket-kit/

    Why don’t you have a system where you have all the nutrient solution and the plants in the same bucket? The pump sprays the roots and the water simply goes back to the bottom of the bucket to be used again.
    Also, my first attempt with that system went well for the first 2 weeks and then all the plants died from what I believe was either fungus or root rot. Any suggestions to stop fungus from growing?

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  9 місяців тому +3

      Then problem with the setup you're suggesting (with nutrients simply on bottom of bucket until returned) is that eventually the roots grow long enough to sit in the solution. That eventually leads to the root rot, which you were referring to. Keeping the nutrient solution separate from the root zone, in my experience, lowers the incidence of root rot significantly. Also, a tablespoon per Gallon of Hydrogen Peroxide will go a LONG way towards preventing root rot. Also, a UVC germicidal lamp can be placed in both the root chamber and the nutrient chamber, run from an intermittent timer, and that goes a long way towards keeping everything sterilized.

      @@aero-gro Yeah i use UV-C lamps in my "Sump" tank that sterilised the water and nutrients after it drains out of my ebb and flow tables, works wonder to stop algae getting out of hand almost entirely.

    Can I get a control unit that the lights shut off and its still operational

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  10 місяців тому +1

      Not sure what you mean. The lights are controlled separately from the nutrient delivery. you can control each as you wish for a high level of control.

    Can you grow 2 plants with 1 nutrient bucket?

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  6 місяців тому

      Hello! Great question. Yes - you can grow as many as you like from one nutrient bucket, but it depends on a few things.
      • The plants being grown must be either the same, or similar pertaining to nutritional requirements.
      • The nutrient tank should be checked more often, due to the increase in water uptake by the greater number of plants.
      • When Pythium root rot, or other problems occur, if you are feeding many plants from the same bucket, it is most likely that all plants will then have to be treated, since the infection came from the one, common nutrient tank.
      Other than that, use any size, shapoe, or type of nutrient bucket (container) that you like, as long as it is:
      • Light-proof
      • Food-Safe
      • Small enough to carry
      Hope that helps!

    Have you considered pumping to/from the lid of each bucket, rather than using the lower side-mount for the drain tube?
    That would eliminate the chances of any leakage through the side of the grow bucket (which is also curved, thus presenting inherent sealing challenges), as well as simplify the overall system BOM even further

    • @EngrEd567
      @EngrEd567 Рік тому +1

      Oh, and really nice system and presentation overall!
      Very much appreciated & Thank you for putting in the thought, time, and effort!!

    • @aero-gro
      @aero-gro  Рік тому

      Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes - in fact, the next version may very well do exactly that: pull from the lid. I just need to test the peristaltic force to ensure the current pump can supply enough pressure. But yes - great minds think alike LOL.
      Also - I will make a video where I compare different numbers of spray nozzles using only one pump. We'll see how far it can be taken. Thanks!

      Actually what you do is install the return line on the bottom of the bucket.
      And this will eliminate the need for a return pump.
      Also I totally agree with you in regards to a filter on the inlet line.
      You will have nothing but problems if you don't have a filter.

    Nice commercial, for your little bucket LPA ( Low Pressure Aeroponics) system.
    I've been growing with LPA for over 15 years.
    And it's great.
    I designed and built all my aero systems,also.
    I grow alot of cannabis.
    But I also grow watermelons, and other melons. Zucchini and peppers all year long.
    It's great being able to have melon's all year long. I can't stand the melons that stores sell,from other countries, like Mexico.
    They all taste like 💩.
    The aero systems I built for growing cannabis. Are very different than anything I've ever seen on the internet.
    Now remember about 20 years ago. When I decided that I wanted to give aeroponics a try .
    There was NO information on how to built one. Let alone how to use one.
    Basically the only information I could find on the subject. Was on a NASA website.
    And then all the other information I could find were based on the NASA article. So they were all useless.
    But I still set out to build my first HPA ( High Pressure Aeroponics) system.
    It took me hundreds of hours of research. To find everything that I wanted to use.
    And remember I really had nothing to go off of.
    Well it just happened that I have a well on my property. And the regulator went out.
    And as I'm standing there looking at it.
    It hit me that this set up is exactly what I'm trying to build. Kinda.
    But that's what I used as a reference.
    To make a long story short. I purchased everything I needed.
    And man it wasn't cheap. It cost me over 600 bucks. And I was only building a 2 grow site system.
    So as I'm building my system. I'm still doing more research, to try and find something to help me.
    Well just by luck, I can't even remember how I found it.
    But I found this guy growing with LPA. And I was like what the heck is LPA, I had never heard of it.
    And what was really crazy was this guys tutoring was 10 years old. So that is 30 years ago from today.
    You should have seen this guys setup.
    But the best thing was his tutoring. He explained every aspect of everything, with pictures. He explained all his ups and downs.
    And how he fixed any problems he ran into.
    He had well over 200 pages of information with pictures.
    Needless to say the way I grow today is based on all this man's information.
    I want to share alot more information,with you all.
    Like for example, I performed a comparison grow with HPA and LPA.
    And many many more experiments.
    I got to go I'm going to be late.
    Take care all.

      Oh man!!! That sounds great! If you ever think of who the guy was, or where to find the info, let us know. Thanks for sharing. I also agree that the store-bought melons, etc. just taste like butt. It's actually getting worse. It's almost impossible to find decent, unaltered, untainted produce anywhere. But hey - that's why we grow our own!!!
