You have single-handedly made me switch to Office online, Kevin. I am an online educator and I was using Google Docs and slides for my teaching needs. But mainly because I didn't even know that I can get the latest and greatest Word online for free! One request: if possible make another video showing how Word and PowerPoint can be used most effectively for teaching. And do mention the limitations of the free version. (For example, no screen recording in the free PowerPoint onine) Thanks.
Is there a way to make the voting button more visible? If I use it in my current work place and they never used it before they can easily overlook it because they don't have the time. Oh can they also see it on their phones?
This is a good video thanks. One question... I have sent an email with voting buttons. I have given my team a few days to respond. I now want to remove the ability to vote as the time is up. How can I remove the voting options for those who haven't yet replied? Thanks
I have responses from two people (including mine) regarding the voting, only mine is shown in the Voting Tracking Options and not Someone else's. I could individually see their options but not in summary.
Thanks for the video, very helpful 👍 The answers to the voting buttons come back as mail attachment in my company though, and the tracking is not updated until we open each one of them. Any body has a idea why it's doing that ? Thanks!
Thanks Kevin, really good overview. Saved me lots of time. Hey, can you please tell me, since you work for Microsoft, where I could get a blue, round highlighter for my pointer, like the one you used in this video, that works with Teams? We do a lot of demos on Teams, and would be nice to have such a tool! Thank you!
Hi Kevin , is it possible to limited the amount of votes on each option? Example. if 6 people select Cake , this option will be close, and the rest of the people will only be able to vote in Biscuits and Crisps, is this possible?
I think this video is helpful.... to Microsoft. Clearly there is a missed opportunity with this feature. They need to spend a bit more time to make it UI friendly and make it more apparent to the user. 🤷♂️
Great content. Could you please also share how to insert a picture in the main body of the email in the new Outlook that doesn't seem to have "Insert" function anymore?
Hey Kevin, how could I refine the Accept button in Microsoft outlook? I am planning a meeting over 300 people some are going to attend virtually and some are going to attend in person so I would like to refine that So we can tally who is accepting attend in person and accept attend virtually.
I don't think this voting options allows two votes to chose. For eg: I want to send 6 options to 50 people, and want them to chose 1st preference, and second preference(means, they need to pick two votes).
Is this still the case? Can you only send inside your group? I have had trouble using the voting buttons and Im not sure if this is the cause. I was sending from my exchange account to 3rd parties. Other UA-cam clips don't mention this limitation, but then I know you to be quite thorough.
What do you do when some recipients respond and the email originator received the response back as an attachment and the voting tally is not updated? These are all internal users.
Kevin, for reasons I won't go into, I've tried to use voting buttons with RMS (NoForward) control, and every participant said they couldn't find the voting buttons, so they all responded in teh body of a reply letter. I sent one of them a message without any RMS controls and the voting buttons appeared just fine. Have you run across this before? Have you found a workaround? Also, it looks as if your video is just a tiny bit out-of-date, because under Approve;Reject, Yes;No, Yes;No;Maybe, Custom...all the way down at the bottom, my Outlook has "Poll", which allows me to create a poll question with custom answers and radio buttons or check boxes. Apparently only one question per email, though. Maybe time for an update?
Kevin, I have MS Teams at three different community colleges. Is there a way I can connect all three on MS Teams / Outlook so I can see what is going on with all three?
I am pretty sure he answered your question in the first 70 seconds of the video material although it was more specific to voting buttons you should be able to still get a picture. Basically, If the colleges you work for are in different domains (I believe there is a really good chance for it unless they are part of the same college family) you would not be able to do it... You can however have 3 different Outlook accounts connected to one Outlook application and therefore be able to switch between them simultaneously. I hope that helps you :)
All too often I use this, and people ‘miss’ the vote portion. I have to detail in the message that it is a vote option. Also, I need to verify if on a mobile device do they see the voting options...
Thanks for the video. I do no see the “tracking” button, also, when i click on the “view voting responses” i do not see the consolidated view. Does anyone know what is wrong with my outlook? 😢
I'm trying to add the simple thumbs up in the upper right corner. I had this feature and then it just disappeared. Leave it to Microsoft to state what it is with ZERO information about how to add it. Typical Microsoft.
if this guy truly work from Microsoft he would call people and said there was issue with their software and they need pay in google gift cards to avoid law suit

I use this feature all the time, BUT, I didn't know you could customize it! Good stuff.
Hi. Can the recipient see the voting summary too? I just want to do it in my organization for playing games? who is coming or not coming?

Thank you Kevin for your useful knowledge sharing
I have responses from two people (including mine) regarding the voting, only mine is shown in the Voting Tracking Options and not Someone else's. I could individually see their options but not in summary.
I suggest that you introduce questions about the tips and the following day answer after our trails
Nice, I can use this tip. Thank you.
I leant something new. Thank you. Is there a limit of how many voting responses I can receive?
Cool stuff as always kevin
Great👍, like your tips!
Tracking doesn't show in my Outlook. It's missing all together on my original email and 'View voting responses" doesn't open anything up either.
How do you Polls in Outlook Kevin. Thank you! I appreciate your knowledge. Very user friendly explanation.
Thanks for the video, very helpful 👍

I think the same. This option is awesome, but is hard to find and hard to notice, some better UI would make great difference.
Could the recipient vote through the mobile? Even not using Outlook mobile App?
Great content. Could you please also share how to insert a picture in the main body of the email in the new Outlook that doesn't seem to have "Insert" function anymore?
Great information. Thank you! Could you provide a tutorial on Flow?
Would love it if I could drop voting into a meeting request...........hint hint MS............Thank you !
Can you please make a detailed video about Followup and to do list in outlook thanks in advance
Thx this really helped :)
Wonder if I can use it for service-user feedback. Shame it doesn't save the custom options though. On the online version people can 'like' the email.
Great, wondering if we can create a vote where users can suggest an option? any thoughts on that?

Hello Kevin, Thanks for enriching by new tips & tricks of MS tools. Plz make a video on the topic - advance features of windows 10 OS. Thanks
Nice video. With it's limitations, would it not be better to use MS forms? especially as it can go to people outside your work area?
I don't think this voting options allows two votes to chose. For eg: I want to send 6 options to 50 people, and want them to chose 1st preference, and second preference(means, they need to pick two votes).
I am in the same situation. Did you get an answer on this? Is there a way your email group can select more than one option to vote on?
Is it possible have the sender anonymous when using the voting buttons so that it can't be seen as to who voted for what.
Can we use this voting option on webmail?
Like creat voting or vote for someone's mail.
I am thinking I should be able to use this option to vote for meeting times.
I was just able to add voting using outlook 365 on the web, and it showed that people outside my organization COULD vote..
Can you add a poll to an Outlook meeting invitation?
Is this still the case? Can you only send inside your group? I have had trouble using the voting buttons and Im not sure if this is the cause. I was sending from my exchange account to 3rd parties. Other UA-cam clips don't mention this limitation, but then I know you to be quite thorough.

Can we do any trick to get a prompt to set a reminder before sending any email while click on send button in outlook. Please help
The required button did not work for my poll. How can I open an existing poll so that folks can answer all of the questions? Thanks for you help. M

How can I add the function that the recepients can vote for multiple choices, e.g. Italian AND Thai?

How can you change your vote, after sending your initial response / vote?
Will this be shown in outlook mobile version?

I'm trying to add the simple thumbs up in the upper right corner. I had this feature and then it just disappeared. Leave it to Microsoft to state what it is with ZERO information about how to add it. Typical Microsoft.

Hi Sir Kevin. I messaged you in facebook. I have some inquiries as regards Microsoft. I hope you can notice me. Thanks.
if this guy truly work from Microsoft he would call people and said there was issue with their software and they need pay in google gift cards to avoid law suit
