Honda Grom & Kawasaki Z125 Pro In San Francisco | ON TWO WHEELS

- FROM DUSK TO DAWN!
The idea behind riding a Grom and a Z125 through San Francisco didn’t actually come about as a way to pit one 125cc bike against another. The guys wanted to explore San Francisco, and when they tried to think about the perfect bike for the job, these two were at the front of their minds. After all, if you’re going to bomb around a city, what better way than with 125cc and 225 pounds of machine? Skeptics will say these two are too slow to have fun, but think of it this way: You ride everywhere as fast as you can!

Skeptics will say these two are too slow to have fun, but think of it this way: You ride everywhere as fast as you can! Who cares if it’s only 50mph? It turned out the real struggle was packing enough stuff into one night. Ari and Zack bombed across the Golden Gate Bridge, following the waterfront through Fisherman’s Wharf to AT&T Park, then wandered around the city, from Lombard Street to the Haight, before climbing Twin Peaks to watch the sun rise.
What the boys learn, as always, is that being on two wheels is fun. What they learned this time is that being on two wheels can be cold, and also the amount of horsepower doesn’t really matter, especially when exploring a city.

I love On Two Wheels. Its like Top Gear for motorcycles and this episode was pretty good.
Yuri D. More like motortrend for motorcycles
Now you can watch The Grand Tour!😀
Soo excited for that.
I was about to comment the same thing! these guys rock
Yuri D. Its like a cringey knock off.
When my friends and I were young, we had a 49cc scooter gang. The initiation was that you had to ring a stranger’s doorbell, when they came out we’d all rev our tiny engines and cackle. We’d speed away at maybe 35mph. God those days were fun. Just a group of friends laughing on tiny bikes, causing tiny trouble.
Sounds like fun
The unscripted stuff is SO much better than the awkward scripted conversations!
Yeah haha. Im loving the copy-right infringements they commit against top gear. Its easier to not be so original! Lol! Great video guys!
@@texasblaze1016 lmao you're pathetic
I have always thought of motorcycling as a hobby of competition. Everyone is always mentioning how they have recently acquired a bigger and faster bike then the other person. I must admit, I was a part of that mindset. However, after watching some of your videos and especially after watching this one. It's clear that it's just about discovering that all you need is a bike, doesn't matter what size, and a friend that thinks the same, to have some fun. With that said, I think I have been hanging around with the wrong crowd all along. I've always wanted to buy a ninja 250 but i was always discouraged to. So i bought a fz8, it's a great bike as I'm sure you guys already know. What I'm trying to say is, I found your videos amazingly entertaining that are mixed in with a wonderful amount of positive attitude. Keep up the great work! Wish you guys the best of luck, I'll definitely keep on watching your videos and have already subscribed.

Emmanuel Araujo Congrats on having found peace in this hobby. Keep riding!
Ok
I grew up in SF and this video warmed my heart. Seeing Ninjas cruising on Broadway Street in 1987 made me want to be a motorcyclist so much. So in 2021 I finally learned to ride at 51 years old and got the Z’s bigger brother the Z400. Would love one of these bikes down the road.
How's the z400?
This is one of the first duo-host style series I've seen on UA-cam that doesn't seem forced and ridiculous, while still being informative and helpful
I love these guys! Informative but more importantly, entertaining. These dudes can ride too! Keep up the great content guys!
You guys are great!!! Love the dynamics and the overall review of the bikes!!! I hope you guys keep this format!!! 😃
Kawasaki makes things Cheaper, faster and better looking.
I hope they continue to copy everyone and create competition.
I always go Kawasaki.
Michael Deeringer but not this one I think the grom is better
Better looking is completely subjective. With the exception of the Ninja 300/400, I think most Kawi stuff is butt-ugly.
EDIT: Forget what I said bout the 400... I just looked at a photo... BAARRRF
Grom is so much better
@@terragrow440 how besides the brand?
@@AndyMartin92 wayyy more mods, way nicer looking bike, better feel and a honda motor you can pass that thing down to your kids cause they just won't stop performing.
Amazing video guys. Every time I watch On two wheels there's something new makes me love riding bikes even more !! Great job guys !! :)
Dudes! You guys have the coolest job ever! Of all your videos, this one has become one of my favorites. Keep up the good work.
Both of these bikes look like a lot of fun. I enjoy when the two of you get the more quirky bikes and really have fun messing around, like the Ural. This was one of those videos. I've been to San Francisco and can't imagine how much fun it would be bouncing around the city at 23 MPH like you two did on the Honda Grom and Kawasaki Z125.
Great video guys
That's the cutest couple in UA-cam... the Grom and Z125. LOL
These dudes get along pretty well and look like they have fun! That’s the key ingredient for a good program when it comes to vehicles for me.
This episode was amazing. Fantastic in every aspect. Keep the good work up guys!
Love watching you guys put the fun back into motorcycling. You just might save the sport.
you mean dusk til grom
dead by grom
Great job guys. I get a real kick out of these videos, sure hope you keep them coming.
this video was both informative and entertaining, thank you for this quality directing and filming.
It's always more fun going as fast as you can all the time! Great vid and perfect local.
The on screen connection between these two is great.
this was awesome hands down great video
That was an awesome review. Nice twist with the night ride. I'm shipping a z125 over to Honolulu for an extended job. Can't wait to tear it up over here!
Chemistry of these 2 guys are amazing... great episode
You guys are great. Please keep making fun videos like this. It's why I read/watch MC...
Enjoyed the video guys , keep more of the good stuff coming . You guys definitely deserve more subscribers
NICE! I'm not sure how this is the first time I came across your channel but I watched some more videos and they're all really good!... well done guys!
This was a great vid . Cool concept and excellent delivery . Well done lads
love your videos guys! really enjoying watching ever single of your videos. great video editing
"Cleveland's coastal? Who knew?"
I mean, cleveland does kinda sit on the coast of one of the biggest lakes on earth...
This was the video I saw a few years back that sold me on a 125. I own a z125 now and love it
Sick video and love that closing shot from Daly City. Keep up the great work!
always great video from you guys
Awesome video. Loved it. What a great place to do a ride. You guys ROCK
I like how you guys switched up and described the upsides the other bike.
Your guys content is always top notch but you still have less than 100k subs, how even! Keep it up. By far my favorite motorcycle channel :)
Love your reviews and can't wait to the next one!
always the best reviews. thanks guys
You guys make the best motorcycling content on YT. Cheers
Knew I'd like this episode once I'd hit the 1 min mark and I wasn't mistaken. Really fun episode you guys!
Just love the videos featuring you guys! In particular the one where you traveled from the ocean to the ski slopes
great job as always guys, keep up the good work
I never ride my bike at night but somehow i just love these nighttime reviews.
That looked like so much fun, you guys are awesome! You guys should do another bargain Craigslist bikes episode, I loved that one!!!
super fun to watch, i just discovered ur videos recently and i like it super fun..yes, i cannot afford all those motorcycle u review but thru ur videos, i feel like im riding it , u guys are so fun
Not a fan of those motorcycles but you managed to keep me stick to my screen with blasting views and lot of humour! Thank you again for your work. I suscribe
Another cool vid! Keep'em coming boys!
Your videos are the coolest and the best... Love it.❤︎
Sweet vid guys, keep them coming!
Please give us more awesome content like this! With MotoUSA going belly up, this channel is really poised to takeoff.
I have a Z1000 and want a Z125 to play on now for around town... am I ridiculous? Why I want to look goofy is beyond me but they sure look like fun.
+Mr. Kitty Small bikes around town are more fun. My Honda Air Blade maxs out at 80mph but it doesn't matter when the fastest I've gone in my city is 45mph. A Z125 Pro is a nice compliment to a Z1000. Get one and have some fun.
My dealer has the Grom but I'll wait for the Z125... This will be nuts but I can't always be practical-ha ha.
I'm thinking about the same thing! so don't worry, you are not alone lol.
Not at all I ride a r1 on the track and I’d kill to have a grom rn
You can only scratch the surface of a sports bike on street
Have an mt09 but would love one of these little fellows, hard to choose, would proberly go the Kawasaki
Subbed you guys are awesome ! always enjoyed your videos for a few years now .. congrats on your well deserved sucess !
I like having the front turn signals as running lights. Definitely more noticeable at night
Loved this. What an amazing scenery, this city makes.
QUESTION: Which one has the most comfortable sit/saddle ?
Especially for long hour riding/ commuting ?
Excellent/Fun video !! I just bought the z125 KRT Pro .Looking forward to having a lot of fun on it !!!
I don’t even own one, a good friend bought a Ruckus but these guys are awesome and the night ride looks like an amazing experience
From Nebraska here :P and after having a Kawi G5, the Z125 would be a great addition/upgrade! Too bad local dealers can't keep them in stock so I went with a Suzuki Gw250 (which I love regardless)
Keep the videos coming guys, lots of fun :)
I love these videos. You guys are awesome
Love the channel, you guys are great and do fun and interesting stuff. Subcribed!
Awesome video! Love the Grom and Z125.
On two wheels are my favorite videos on UA-cam
You guys should make these "On Two Wheels" episodes or any of your videos longer... they are always awesome!
These guys deserve so many more subscribers and viewers than they have.
most enjoyable motorcycle channel to watch on youtube
Who thinks the Z125 should be for sale in the UK?
We do have the Learner CBT restricted to 125 after all.
BEST Motorcycle Duo on UA-cam of all time:)
Brilliant premise for the video another A++++ production Motorcyclist Mag has been keeping up with the times GJ guys
Love it! Slightly biased since I live here but yea. One of your best vids so far.
That was great, you guys make the best motorcycle vids out there. Ignore people who want boring, "serious" evaluation videos; they can go bugger off spend the next 3 hours arguing over spec sheets for a bike they don't own on a forum somewhere.
Great episode guys. Come back soon!
You guys are the best! Hoping to get my hands on a z125 late this year :D
That was epic! Great video!
Love these two and what they created
I miss living in the East Bay. I'd do night riding through the city at least once a month whenever I couldn't sleep. Such a great place to ride when all of the people go away.
Where and why did you move?
im assuming rent lol. living expenses in the bay are crazy steep, ive heard one bedroom apartments go for around 2-3 grand
@@dbs2428 SF rent for a 1 bed is $2600 and up.
@@salami99 sheeeesh. That's crazy
@@salami99 it's more now.
Well done, guys, Superb idea.
Never thought I would enjoy that, but I really did
Man guys great video. I love OTW!
Great video as always!
i used to love to call that place home...thank god i left it decades ago
Great vid looked like a blast! 👍👍
Stumbling in after the party went home, but this is a great show. Congrats on your new opportunity. I just can’t figure out how to find it, overseas...
Fantastic content though. Mega.
assume show and great episode! :-).
Considering that a Z125 might be att great choice for a second bike in the garage :-)
This was fun! Thanks guys.
killer vid guys !!!
Nice video bro stay safe keep it coming
You guys are nerds and I loved this vid! Nice stoppies.
Well that was just about the best bike video ever. 😃
Amazing episode!!
I love these videos so much
great video entertaining and a good insight to the new Z125
Dear @Motorcyclist Magazine, this is seriously one of THE BEST motorcycle reviews I've ever seen, just bummed I didn't see these two bombing around my city since I ride late at night too XD.
Also, Zack and Ari are probably among the 5 best moto journalists in the world right now, so please keep these videos coming. Production quality is high, concept is great, and they're awesome fun to watch.
+Ari Henning guys, please please please do an Alta Motors SMS test in SF. That would be so rad.
SM test rather
Cool vid, I'd definitely go Kawasaki. Keep the vids coming, thanks.
nice workout guys...thumbs up👍👍👍
Great work with the videos! I hace learn quite many aspects of motocycle thanks to yo, I have a question sideways, I like the sholder back pack use un this episode, do you mind mention where to accire one.... Jaja thanks!!
Those glasses while goofy deff are on point for that style helmat for night riding.
September 2018. My most favorite video of all!!
You guys chose the best city to test these bikes. I ride my grom almost everyday to work here in SF! i actually met the kawi rep that put that event together. Great video!! Looks like you guys had a blast. Should of stopped by bobs donuts on polk, you guys had dinner a few blocks away.
strictlyJDM semi unrelated, but I'll be visiting SF later next week. What are some good (local) spots to visit/eat, and what spots are bs tourist traps? Thanks!
Love it and wish this episode was longer. I just got back from the 2016 OVERLAND EXPO from Mormon Lake Arizona. While there with my Super Tenere and TW200 I saw what I been thinking about for my next light weight bike. KTM 390 Duke customized for Dual Purpose . It looks great with aftermarket seat, pipe and tires. Keep up the great work and play! If you need to do a retro story I have a 2002 Bayliss 998 and 2002 Millie R I would like see make it into one of your videos.
