  • The haters call it a copycat. Kawasaki calls it a Grom-killer. But what do we really know about this motorcycle? Well it’s called the Z125 Pro. RyanF9 takes this little bad boy for a ride and puts it to the test in his latest Motorcycle Review.

    In European Union there's this A1 class of motorcycles, 125cc and maximum 11 kW (roughly 15 hp), for which (unlike cars or bigger motorcycles) one can get the licence in the age of 16. People usually ride them two years before upgrading to a bigger bike (or more commonly, buying a car, or moving to a city to study and switching the bus and the bicycle). Adult beginners almost always start with something bigger (see class "A2" if interested). And while this model was not sold in Europe when this video was made, it is now, and I think it's entirely possible Kawasaki thought that market from the day one.
    I mean a great chunk of your target audience is literal teenagers, this might explain the aggressive looks on a cute little bike...

    • @bilbyy
      @bilbyy 6 років тому +28

      paradroidandroid I always thought it was weird why the A1 license, in The Netherlands, started at the age of 18. You’re basically driving a pimped out moped.

    Nice review. I bought a used 2018 Honda Grom because there were more of them on Craigslist than the Z125. I definitely would have considered the Z125. I like the Grom but it is slow. I can’t hit 60 mph without a strong tailwind and I only weigh 160 lbs. people ask why I have four bikes, because I don’t know where I would park bikes 5, 6, and 7.

    I also think Honda have a great history of making small bikes in HUGE numbers since the 60s or so, and to me and most people Kawasaki just doesn't have the same reputation. If I'm thinking small bike, I'm probably going to go with the original, if for no reason other than a healthy sprinkling of tradition and some heritage. It'd be cool to be part of the worldwide club of millions and millions of people rolling on little Hondas.

      2) Bikes for riders that have been on a bike anytime in their life: Suzuki gsx500f, Honda cbr500r and ninja 500r or gpz500
      3) Bikes for new riders that are below 5'5: Honda grom, z125 pro, Honda rebel 250/300/500, Kawasaki Vulcan s and Yamaha v star 250.

    I'm not happy at the way you delivered the first package. I mean come on, you guys did not have to throw away food like that or at least if it was a miss don't include it in the edited review :/
    Other than that, nice review guys, cheers. (But really, don't throw food, it adds absolutely nothing to the video :/)

      I feel you and I get the narrative way of handling that review, which was a smart angle but there was no point at throwing food away at all. If you cracked a smile when seeing that food on the ground then well, I don't know what to say.
      I rather liked the cut when he's dropping her partner and delivering in her hand or the part where he threw the package in a tree (I think they were lucky on that shot not spilling what was in it) but no, you don't throw food.
      I don't know what the situation is about homeless people is in Montreal but that's, in my opinion, a lack of respect about these guys.
      As I said, the video is great otherwise. I did not put a thumbs down or hated it, was just feeling the need to point that shot and its questionable usefulness.
      Cheers mate (Hope you had no problem reading me, english is not my main language.)
