This particular period of Mayhem was extremely influential for many bands that showed up later in the scene. Technically, this clearly isn't their best sound, but how can you make any judgement when it's merely a home recording of a rehearsal from the late eighties? If you don't like the genre on itself, I find it quite ridiculous you make age-based assumptions of it when most black metal bands (SPECIALLY the old-school ones - yes, that means mostly 50 y/o and older) hold this Mayhem era in high regard. P.S: Do you even know what 'otaku' means?
