@@EuanWhitehead If you were my ahe you would know that contrary to all this bs flying about Arseth had a sense of humour. Albeit a pretty fu**ed up one , nonetheless he not only patronized all these guys , he also went out of his way to nag the f*** out of them . I remember reading Arseth used to play some pop tunes in some piano they had back at that squat just cause he knew Pelle hated it intensely , to the point he would often go and sleep outside just in order not to put up with all the abuse .
All these " Kvltness" is a bunch of bollocks , these dudes were pretty f***ed , that they were , they had a childish, humorous side , of course .
No matter how shitty one might find Akerlund´s movie , he actually did a good job at showing that goofy side of the whole thing which tends to get buried beneath the myth and the posers .
@@delhidelirium9091 Much like me and My friend. We both have a very strange messed up sense of humour much like Arseth to be honest. Its just hard to decipher, people overplay a lot of stuff in life. I have no doubt he had a sense of humour now. And yea, I don't believe that everyone in the inner circle were sociopaths, they were just immature and fucked up. We are always fucking around, we do the similar, hang out in our leather jackets and Black metal long-sleeves but at the end of the day we are still just making stupid faces and shouting loudly. We even dress up in medieval clothes. Cheers for explaining man.

Pelle's voice is so nice, and come to think of it, this may be the *only* video where we can see him as *him* and not as Dead. It's refreshing

@@strwbrryvape how exactly do ppl determine what is "deserved" or not? dead had a lot of the same ideologies/views/opinions/prejudice as others in the group. varg admitted he had to provoke øystein to get him to attack, wether or not øystein had a legitimate plan/idea to kill him he wasn't trying to execute it at the time of his murder so it's not really self defense & it's not truly known if øysteins threats to kill varg were real since they were told by petty/bitter/jealous/fucked up ppl instead of hearing it straight from the horses mouth like we did for necro.

@@rafaeu6513 Todo mundo o achava esquisito, inclusive seus amigos. Ninguém levava a sério as coisas malucas que ele dizia, até porque muito desse lado sombrio de Dead contribuiu para a imagem e som do Mayhem. Acho que por isso que ninguém também interferiu. O fato é que Dead tinha problemas psicológicos que não foram tratados. Embora fazer música fosse uma forma de terapia, estar no Mayhem também instigava seus instintos. Dead estava na corda bamba entre cura e perda, e ninguém percebeu que seu caso era mais complexo do que aparentava. Eu acredito que alguns cagavam pra ele assim como tiveram amigos, sim, que se importavam com Dead, mas que foram ingênuos.

That Fact is what is so sad about the whole thing what happened back there in the 90's. Aarseth was like the Creep guy in Lord of the Rings which was always whispering weird stuff into Rohans Ear. The Tongue of a Snake. I guess he pushed him on the negative path again and again until happened what we all know...

Pelle was a handsome and great guy but life and some people were tough on him
And you can also see that from before he joined mayhem and while he was a member of it
In my opinion pelle shouldve never have joined mayhem it wasnt good for him but on the other side mayhem wouldve never made so good music without him
Pelle was a dude who deserved better. i hated what he did to animals but aside from that he was just a guy who needed help and kept giving signs that he had a hard life but nobody realised it and just kept letting him hurt himself so badly
He didn’t kill cats like in lords of chaos but he did chase them and keep dead animals
It was Dead who chose Mayhem because the liked evil side of the band.
Also, he always wanted to kill himself, the guy was nuts and extremely depressed.
Mayhem best 2 album doent feature Dead which ara Deathcrush and De mysteriis Dom Sathanas which the pinnacle of black metal.
But yeah, Dead contributed with lyrics, he was a better lyricist than a vocalist, his vocals were just screams, no technique at all.
I agree with everything, but just to add: He never killed or harmed animals, all the dead animals he collected were already dead and he just took them.

I can actually go subtitle everything or most of it. Only the Uploader can post subtitles, there used to be a community subtitling feature but it got pulled.
Multiple people were filming even Pelle, at 5:00 sadly I cant understand what he was saying at first but the other part is

He is actually dead, he died because of a heart attack many years ago. A woman named Irene Andresen confirmed that on Instagram. She was Oystein's friend from Norway and also a friend of every bandmate, incuding Pelle.
