Not really that house has had multiple owners through the years and it’s current occupant if I’m not mistaken is involved in the music scene in Norway today, so I imagine he knows the history
You are erroneous in your reasoning. Just because a place looks beautiful doesn't mean that people don't suffer and have personal struggles and battles with depression and mental health problems.
@Forbidden.Freedom Your lack of what I said is embarrassing. I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you. I suggest you enroll in school and finish high school.
It’s highly encouraged! But the one thing I will caution while it’s not in this video is DO NOT go see the henhouse/old rehearsal space on the Stubbord farm as it’s private property and will get you arrested/in trouble. I say this a Norwegian native who’s unfortunately seen it happen
Thank you both. It's surreal each time I see some of these places from such an historic time. Every time I see the house or Euronymous' grave, (especially those two places), it makes me heartbroken thinking of how so much could have changed if Pelle had gotten some kind of mental health help and if Varg had decided he was too lazy to drive so far that night. Sadly, self loathing for one and pure blinding hatred of another set a course which permanently ended two and took away years of freedom and creativity sharing from the other. Our inner demons and our inner self-thoughts and our inner rage can ruin so much if we choose not to or can not find the means to calm it. What great losses. Some may hate Euronymous. Some may hate Varg. Some may hate Pelle. But in the end, all were fellow Human Beings and all 3 had a mother /father who loved them at one time and hoped for the best life for them all. Sad losses. Amazing music left behind as a forever legacy. It's better than having nothing.
To be fair miss and I’m from Norway and was around during the time of NBM’s infamous rise. Oystein had burned bridges no pun intended with most in the scene at the time of his death, bands were not paid they rightly owed royalties from his label, Oystein also had a MASSIVE ego problem as said by those who knew him. Also let’s not excuse his very clear lacking of basic morals with a few of the things he did. His treatment of Pelle was beyond unacceptable as was his photos of Pelle’s body and the necklace he made out of his skull fragments. Oystein didn’t deserve to be murdered obviously but if he hadn’t very likely he was headed to prison along the others for the crimes they committed during this time. Also if he was still alive Mayhem wouldn’t still be around as by the time his death occurred most of the band by their own words mind you were sick of his one way street attitude
It is odd to think how these and all the other unfortunate events made black metal "bigger". It would not be what it is without these events. These stories made the energy of the art more serious or real....like hey this isn't just a show. And takes it to more of a spiritual beyond life level. Sad but equally profound because of it.
