That's not how I listened, it was him saying he did do it. But in the context of the story when he said he did it for publicity, it got blown out of proportion from the journalalist (which...come on we all know those parasites do that). And turned a question that was asked from "did you speak to him?" To "Did you say yes to the church burnings?". And he got arrested off of another guy's statements rather than having proof.

The recors shop is still open in Oslo, goes by the name of Neseblod (nosebleed) now a days. It's in the central of Oslo, so if you're ever in Norway it's just 10-15 min walk from the train station in Oslo
I miss hearing this mans stories and videos. The ThuleanPerspective era was legendary in many ways. It seems around the time when they cancelled him the "ad-pocalypse" happened and everything went down the drain from there. Oh to go back 7 or more years ago and fully appreciate what we had.

I had a similar thing happen with a band I was in back in the late '90s. A local label was oh so interested in putting a record out by us after seeing the band live. The deal was we'd pay for the recording and he would put the CD out. The time came to first master the album after we were finished recording it. He could not afford that so we put up the $200 for that. Then it was time to put up or shut up and he did not have money to press the record. This sucked because we were going on tour and needed something to sell. Luckily another band loaned us the money to put it out. We (smartly) pressed the CDs through a factory ourselves and I did the art. We included the guys label name and logo on the record because he did have a reputation......sort of? During the tour he contacted us and said for us to mail him some CDs because he was getting a lot of orders. I never did find out how many he sold and he never gave us a dime. Then he vanished and moved to a different state. I'm sure if it would have been a lot of records I'd been more pissed but we only pressed about 500 and we only mailed him like 100. I was quite young at the time so I wrote it off as a lesson learned.

It always amazes me that Varg got stuck on an everyday word 'conversation' considering he's so fluent , and uses far less used words from the English dictionary .

My guess is that it’s because he lives in France and is Norwegian, so he rarely uses english
It's not how the brain fart works. You get stuck on words just like you forget a name of famous actor. If you're not used to it, you will ask yourself "why did I stuck on this?!"
My cousin was stuck in prison this past few years, his first checklist of things to do there was learn a few languages lol. He never read so many books in his entire life until he went to prison, and he was a law undergrad lmao. I mean there's not much to do in prison than exercise or read books. You cant even do art because pen and pencils are stabby little things.

Plus, Varg has always been an important point of reference to me, both musically and politically. He's definitely one of my idols.

Seriously tough. After serving his time, Varg became a relaxed and calm country dad. He actually made very heart warming videos about his low key DIY family life. It made zero sense to invade his house with a SWAT team and ban all his content out of nowhere. They don't want him to succeed in life because his name is worth money and sells newspapers and clickbait.

Yeah he served his time but it still feels wrong that he's out free to live his life while he ended the life of another. He deserves al the misfortune that comes his way.

nah. they have done way better sht since then. actually quite against all odds.. that album was great but esoteric warfare an others they have done blow it out of the existence. it's only a moment in time and a sort of romantic memory in comparison. but in saying that what they've done since and for BM in general definitely owes to that time and story.

This Euronymous guy, the more I hear about Varg and Euronymous, the more I’m happy that I turned away a high school friend, who slowly showed to be a jealous, wimpy SOB who would talk behind my back and crave for attention by visiting and riding with anyone who had time on their hand. My friend had an IT shop, his ego grew and I could have helped him out but he was “competitive”. So these days, he closed his shop, is back living at his mom’s as a mid 30s guy and well that is where he belongs for being such a rat. *edit - Yes, I was a bit mad when I wrote this, but I won't modify it as it is how I felt at the moment I wrote this.

Yes, I feel like that his Ego got in the way. Some people change when they feel like they have a "position of power".
