Trump did egg it on for fun but the press loved to spar with him. Trump to his credit took on a far hostile press compared to what Biden faces today. It is only Fox News and Newsmax in the US that might spar with Biden when he can spar unlike Trump. The mainstream media even cheered on KJP (Biden's press secretary) when she insulted a reporter from Africa.

It was appalling how badly the press corps were treated. How press briefings were few and far between then eventually cancelled. Who can forget alternative facts?

I remembered how trump treated her when she started asking her question. My first thought is he is such a terrible human being. We will certainly live in a different country if he gets in control again.

The "I'm not" and "I'm sorry?" in response to Trumps insults were perfect. Pointed but not antagonistic. Shutting down his first little jab without escalating, but also not letting it slide. Then after his blatant attack, that measured response spoke so much more than the words themselves "Excuse me what the f*ck did you just say? Do you want to repeat that for everyone?"
