@@rosefabfour5355 Because assumptions will be made otherwise, I am going to start by saying I am extremely liberal. I am in favor of right to choose. I am horrified by what backwards red states do to prevent abortions. I think that if a woman and a man want the same job, they should have the same opportunity to get it. I think that if they work the same job, they should be paid the same (excepting qualifications and experience). That's not every issue under the sun but it should give you an idea of my viewpoint.
Now that I've said that... modern or "third-wave" feminism is mystical bullshit on par with conservative media (Fox News) for reframing reality to suit the needs of a narrative. The "gender pay gap" is largely a myth, for example... or perhaps I should say, it exists but there's little to no indication that it is a sign of inequality.
I also think the vast majority of gender issues which can and should be under the purview of government have been solved.
Are there still issues facing women? Absolutely. Abortion laws and obstacles being an example.
Are there also issues facing men? Yes. As an example, last I checked, women are far more likely to get child custody than men in divorce cases.
Furthermore, while I can no longer name anything specific, as it has been a while since I've spent any time on this subject, I do recall there being cases where third-wave feminism was very definitely attempting to give women an advantage over men.
So, this is why, if pressed for a term, I would call myself an egalitarian, not a feminist.
But, hey, I'm open-minded. You're welcome to convince me otherwise.

Pretty stupid reasoning I might say. Option 1: you force two people into a marriage even though they don't love each other or 2: you punish those who were too "irresponsible" by not helping, thus pushing them towards the first option.

Good video but I have one minor complaint. Can someone please adjust the volume of the whole video so that it is level from beginning to the end. These video's always end with a huge boost in volume that someone should have been able to adjust before posting. I have to turn up the volume to hear whomever is talking and then get my eardrums ruptured if I have headphones on when the promo for the show comes on after the main video.
Just a thought.

Feminism is the name for the advocates of equality. And white women do not have the same problems as women of color.
They share the same burdens affiliated to females of our society, but black women, for example, have to overcome racial prejudices as well. Like being fetishized for your skin, having less access to education because of systemic racism etc.

Nope. This didn't help at all because I do identify as a young black woman (virgin, if anyone's interested) and not a white male who was born many years ago. Because that's okay now, right? Feminism isn't advocacy for equality. You're lost in their web if you believe that. Who was told not to come to the women's march in DC? Pro-choice women. Who are being called names by feminists? Women who voted for or support President Trump. But who were the loudest women at that march? White women!!!
And if the black community needs woke whites like you and me and Marshall Mathers and Madonna to speak for them, then they deserve to be left behind. After all, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Blacks don't need you speaking for them; they need to learn (and they are learning now more than ever) that they have a voice. But what they need to learn more than anything is that all it takes is effort. You can't skip school because it's boring, don't graduate, have sex at the age of 13 and get pregnant at the age of 16, never hold a job and then expect me to pay for you and your kids to eat. That goes for whites, blacks, Mexicans, anyone who wants to make bad choices and expect others to take care of them.
And why would you say that there is "no chance" that I'll be discriminated against? I can't find a good job because I'm older than 40 and I don't have a college degree. Even though I have 12 years' experience in a certain field and glowing references, I am being passed over because of these two things. But you know what? I'm not out crying to the government to gimme gimme gimme. I'm not protesting at every business that hasn't hired me. I'm dealing with it and moving on to the next opportunity. Probably because of my white privilege. Or maybe because my parents taught me that no one else will care about what happens to me so I have to go out and take care of myself.
I have lived in all black communities where I was the only white person for blocks, both as a child of 10 years and as an adult. People called me names and as a kid tried to physically intimidate me. I just picked up a couple of bricks and stood my ground. Nobody is going to make me feel less about myself just by saying "bad things" to me. I'm not a millennial. Who's making any of this about race anyway? The original poster on this thread said something about "white feminism", as if they have no right to fight for equality because white women have it so good. Let's hold an Oppression Olympics and see who's worse off, okay? You're just feeding into the victim mentality like a good well-trained liberal. And I'm of the opinion that survival of the fittest is what will eventually save our country. That's why I'm not worried about this latest SJW trend.
