As a raid sherpa myself who mainly does 5-man sherpas on lfg which are very time consuming and patience driven, I approve this video 100%. If I were to teach a raid, Id want my team to watch this video prior.
Hey there, just getting back into d2 after a few years. Any interest in playing sometime? I'm fairly competent but have yet to try raids or dungeons, only played VoG & CE in d1. I saw there's cross-play now but not sure if that's a deal breaker, on ps4 here. No worries if not, figured it might not hurt to ask.
@R. Hey mate, this offer open? Used to play D1 and played a bit of red war, but other than that, total new light here :) got my warlock to 1813 and i got BL, WQ, 30th, and Lightfall :) Anyone's free to add me, it's YeenGames#9634
As a speed runner (1300 raid clears) I completely agree with this video I’ve helped new players through there first raid clear and got the satisfaction of helping a new player down these gigantic bosses and successfully do these mechanics. I dont put new players on ad clear I try to put them on these mechanics that aren’t easy like doing the reading in vow of disciple or using the relic in vog etc. 2 new players I’ve recently taught are slowly becoming really good friends of mine from all over the world. Like I play with a dude from canada and I’m from Sweden. The dude from Canada has consistently played with me in raids (if I’m playing with newer player i try not to use callouts that are very short like “T,L,K” for a vow callout of symbols (tower, love, kill) etc. love from Sweden
You mind helping me complete my first raid any time soon? I have a pretty good Renewal Grasps build and I’m working on a Gyrfalcon’s build right now (also have a Star eater-arc build)
@@limitless_ftw my rules for raids: don’t talk 24/7 only talk if u need to call something out know how dps combos work be nice don’t rage quit Also do u have discord?
I’ve done dungeons and legend nightfalls and master lost sectors but I still felt like I wasn’t good enough to raid This video definitely gave me the confidence to try Thanks! Hopefully I can get Root of Nightmares done
So did you get the raid done? I used to be the same way. I was doing GMs regularly before I did my first raid, once I finally started raiding consistently I realized how easy they are compared to GMs and Master dungeons lol
I had so many bad experiences with D1 raids… I find it ridiculous that I have to get bullied because I don’t have alien symbols memorized. I haven’t raided in probably 6 or 7 years but this motivated me to try again. I’m just gonna put on a hazmat suit first this time 😂😂😂😂 ❤
Just started playing Destiny 2 2 weeks ago and I've just been trying out every thing I can having a blast (been playing solo about 95% of my time on D2 so far}. Was just about to go try a raid but decided to do some research on it first and found this video. I've always imagined a raid to be more complex and a bit daunting for new player compared to the other content D2 has to offer but wow there's a lot to consider when committing to a raid 😅. I'll probably do more leveling before I try it myself. Awesome video bro, keep up the great content!
Ive only ever done Levi and Last Wish but stopped talking to the people I did those with, and ive wanted to do others but anxiety stops me from doing them :( would love to be able to do these with people who are patient and friendly
Tip for warlocks, dont let raid groups force you into running well. I keep a well build saved just incase it will help solve an issue our group is having, but dont feel forced to do it. You can clear raids with any good build and the main priority of raiding is having fun so use what you want
I’m fairly new to the game(since Jan20th) and so far I have 220hrs and have done everg dungeons and have been playing with 1 friend the whole time and we both really want to do a raid but we don’t know any other people that play like us and my friend doesn’t like talking in game chat sadly
Just started playing Destiny 2 for the first time in like.. many years, it's been so long that I feel like a brand new player. My question is -- is it worth getting the other Expansions for the sole fact that you get access to that expansions Dungeons (Witch Queen, Beyond Light etc), and the respective sub-classes that were introduced in that expansion? Right now Witch Queen is on a major sale right now, and I don't have ANY of the expansions, just the base game, but I planned on getting Lightfall. Your content is super helpful and I watched this video until the end to affirm some of the knowledge I've already picked up from the game.
I think it depends on what content you want to play. For subclasses the only expansion you would need is beyond light for stasis. For content it depends on which dungeon or raid sounds interesting.
I'm mostly worried about talking to and communicating with others. I'm not that used to talking with strangers in English and my nick is probably hard to say. I'm also wondering if I should use open mic or find a button to bind it to. Raids also take a lot of time where you shouldn't get interrupted but despite all this it seems like most of the player base raids regularly. Life would be easier if I got my friends to play this game and get far enough to be able to raid but that's not happening because D2 is so hard to get into and requires so much time and commitment.
The only raid ive ever gotten to was way back in destiny 1 on wrath of the machine i need a team for the current game because I’ve been solo for far too long and I can’t raid alone
I was able to get vod raid under 4h. Our Sherpa explained how things work. Remember everyone do your part, learn it and everything else will be easy. Ya the first 2 hours we where figuring and learning things out but once we got to Rhulk we beat him on our 3 try because we where loosing out buff lol. Anyway, just do your part in the raid, if your not sure how something works or have any other questions ask them don’t be shy ask so you don’t mess up and get wiped.
I have done raids many times in D1 but have done none of the raids in d2, not even the legacy raids yet because honestly, I had low motivation to play destiny 2 due to most of the content being behind paywall, and I didn't really had the money to get the DLCs Altho, I recently started to play it more because epic games made the legacy collection free and i took advantage of that (I also got the 30th anniversary one when it was free on epic), tho i hate how the forsaken pack wasn't included. Currently at 1795 light level, which is enough for most raids but I still haven't done it. I'm hoping to do some of the raids once I upgrade my PC soon.
Really like your videos and vibe. I’ve not had a lot of luck with LFG or finding the right fit. How can I join your clan lol. Id like to play alongside you, you definitely have the personality, patience and kindness I jive with. Do you have a day one LF team?
Great video thanks 🙏 I am trying to do my first raid and no one will accept me :( keep getting booted. I generally understand the mechanics but can’t get started 🙈
I am decently good at pve but I can never figure out the puzzles and I have no decent friends that can do raids with me it took me and my friends 4 hours to get halfway through kings fall and I honestly just want zauolis bane and apex predator but I just can't find anyone to do them with
i have question for this because im never get into raid before: im try to build recovery and intellegence for my titan. is it worth it for raid? for Dungeon. what exactly we doing? im just killing enemy there and that's all no objection or anything.
