*Edit: Just replied to probably 100+ comments, have a look through the latest comments, I've been replying to each to try fix common problems.*
I can’t get my tech deck to go off the table and When I try it doesn’t olllie
It’s either I am really bad at it or I’m doing something wrong
I can do an Ollie but only like an inch off the ground standing still this help me improve thanks
Phoenix's World probably won’t reply but my fingers are to small by the way so I can’t get to the nose do a updated tutorial for small fingeres
Tran Doonzyy Yo, I’m sure you can learn if you keep at it! Try just pushing the board down with both fingers before you pop so it snaps up harder and less finger strength is needed :)
Phoenix's World no way I I did it thank you
My son is trying to teach me how to Ollie on a fingerboard and this video is hands down the best! Thank you! I may actually learn it.
This is really hard because I have small hands and fingers but you explain it so much better than anyone else, thanks!
Same I have small fingers
Ikr I thought mine were big
Same 😭 😿
Mine are small too. Another way to learn ollies is to ride up to the top of the vertical side of your desk, pop the Ollie and try landing on the flat desk. It helps Levelling out.
This is hard for me because I am bad at everything
Every other video says “just slam your finger down and slide up” you actually demonstrated so I’m practicing now. It’s a lot easier and I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon
Have u done it yet?
Are you a god now lmao
@ScxtheeVFX how long it took
@ScxtheeVFX how long did it take to do it? I’m getting a tech deck this Wednesday and I want to know how long it might take me.
@@idle8488 ive got it pretty close in a day. depends how much you practice and everyones different and learns at a different pace so you never know until you try.
Wow, you don't understand how many UA-cam videos I've watched trying to learn this trick... this is by far the best one yet! Thank you!!
Yo thanks for actually explaining it and showing ways to practice your the only legit video I’ve seen, keep up the good work! You just got a new sub🔥💯
very nice tutorial ngl
Bro is verified
I've been searching up guides forever and this one helped a lot!! all the other guides are like"just slide your finger and yould get it". this helped so much thank you!!
this is the most helpful video ive seen for an ollie! everything else is just "pop it and slide your fingers" but you actually show how! Now i can finally learn a kick flip after this
If you are having trouble with the pop portion:
1. Practice on something soft like your bed (helped me) I don’t know why but it makes it easier
2. Practice popping off the side of a book, with your tail hanging off the back and your back trucks on the book. Then Ollie onto that book. It is a lot easier
Me sitting in my bed at 11:30 at night practicing
Wow
ye man me too
bed a t 12 am hmmmmmmm
How do I get it in the air
dude you seriously taught me how to ollie, i already knew how to pop too. Now i can go over the book lol. Thank you!!
Thanks A LOT man this was the only tutorial that taught me how to Ollie thanks again 👍
you explained it so well! the only video about the ollie that actually helped me, thank you!
I've been looking at tutorials the whole night and this one actually helped me
this has helped me to learn the ollie the only video that has. thank you
Hey I hope it helps me cuz I can't do anything at all not even an Ollie
@@Holo.MrPickle it took me forever but plenty of practice and watching this video a few times got me there
I CAN'T DO IIIITTT T THIS S SO HARD HE IS A SCAMMER
@Heather Petty and it’s his fault u can’t do it? 🤔
@@saveme1785 exactly. I can’t do it. not the scammer part tho
This tutorial works really well! Learnt how to do decently long distances in one Ollie in a couple minutes!
How do u pop the board
@@jerrychen1735 bro. everything is in the video
@@dzi_prod7557i watched 10 different tutorials and still cant get the board to jump ib the air
being straight up i cant believe just the 2 trick helped me literally this is how most people should do a tutorial give you tricks to do that slowly build your muscle memory
Best explanation on youtube by a long shot! Thank your for breaking it downs AND including helpful closeup slomo
me: **cant do ollie**
also me: **tried ollie and instead does a finger flip impossible and lands it**
a tip i have for ollies is once you get it down on a small object think of doing it on that object on flat and you got yourself an ollie
Me to
@Drichel Pro YT both or one?
@Drichel Pro YT thanks bro
Ikr I tried to do an Ollie ( for the first time) also me tho does an 360 kick flip then lands it while my cousin is in shock cuz I said I was trying a ollie
Hey phoenix I'm having trouble sliding my finger while it's in the air. Can you help?
Also I can send some of my attempts so you can go off those and help me get my Ollie a lot higher because right now it is super low and I can't do any flips when it's this low
@ Trevor Martin try to use stuff like two books so you can learn to try and jump i Reyes this and it took me 2 weeks! (I know that’s a long time) but try and if it’s not working just keep trying! Trust me it works
Thanks
@@nexz9242 ok I will thanks
@@trevormartin6285 if you're still having trouble with ollies, DM @kinkrail on instagram. There's a very simple tip that makes ollie-ing a lot more easier.
@@Langscapes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
this honestly really helped me. i knew how to ollie before but the tips helped me ollie higher. this was the only video that helped me a lot
Thanks so much for the comment! Glad to help, I've had to re learn ollies before
Yo Thanks man for the Tutorial.
After warching i didnt get it but after like 1 Hour i got it and jumped over pencils and stuff. Now I can do it pretty good. Thanks for the great Tutorial
I just don’t get how to pop the board up
Try the leg technique, starting from vertical
Well your bad
eterjシ Ik
Same
Egg Man every one has trouble with an Ollie
The feel of going over a pencil is the best for the first time
I probably couldn't get over a peice of paper :'(
Holy shiz, the leg suggestion was gaming changing, now I can do it off the edge of a desk, it's like biking but with training wheels. Can't wait til I get this, thanks, it's mindless and nice to do this during and in between work and art
This was very helpful! Thanks so much. You helped a lot more than other bigger channels I looked at!
U got me my first ollie!!! Thank you soo much you earn’t a sub from me great job keep up the great work 👍
I just wanted to let u know to help you in the long run. It's earned. Sorry if I offended you.
Doing an Ollie is not something you can just learn, you need to just try whatever works for you or just pick it up along the way
Very good point. Sometimes you invent your own little techniques
Thanks Man, this is the only video that's actually helping my ollie!
Thanks this is really helpful yesterday I tried all day looking at other videos but today I only looked at yours and learned it just under 2 hour thank you a lot
HOW
Greatly explained and helped a lot! Thanks
Thank you made me understand more even though I don’t have a Tech Deck
Edit:omg I did thanks oh it all to you
Oh it all? You mean owe?
This is the best video of all the ones i watched thank you!
Thanks bro, You demonstrating it helped out a lot! I didn’t master it yet but I’m getting there!
Me: can double tre on a real board
Also me: can’t keep my fingers on the board when I pop
Damn can you actually double tre? I can only do a single. Have a look through the latest comments, I've been replying to each to try fix common problems
This video helped so much I couldn’t land one Ollie before, but know because of this video I’ve landed three already! Thanks!
Ngl this actually helped me in real skating for some reason, thanks!
just got one at Christmas and this really helped
I cant do any of it i am having trouble with everything
Prince-E same
Dude, I just literally learned to ollie in 4 minutes. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the comment! You must be a natural to get it so fast
@McNoob_999 so you can't learnt to ollie in 4 minutes? Maybe some of us just learn faster than others ;)
@McNoob_999 jokes are supposed to be funny. Now who is the liar?
@@brianshissler3263 oi
@Space RL its ok, it just takes practice. Not everybody can ollie...we won't make fun of you.
THE PRACTICING ON A VERTICAL SURFACE WAS SUCH A GOOD TIP IT REALLY HELPED ME TYSM
Tysm Phoenix i appreciate your hard work 🎉
These tips are really good! I just have a question, can you still Ollie if your fingers aren’t that strong?? To get a powerful pop?
I'm having a LOT of trouble on a horizontal surface bringing the board up 😭
ME TOO i might be stupid tho idk
same
@@patrick-ri2wk it’s a been a year and I still can’t do it haha
@@ameliaparfitt2516 ive had a tech deck for 5 years and i cant lift it without my thumb😶
Same
broo i have been trying to do this for so long and no videos ever helped me but this one actuall helped, can finally get it off of the floor npw, im sure soon enough i can act do it.
This helps me a lot with my ollies now I am forever grateful
whenever I try to ollie all my hands do is freeze up and shake do you know how to stop this?
Do you have any medical conditions? (No offence)
Same
I had the exact same problem for ages! My hand would just seize up instead of popping!
This is purely a mental block so try these to work around it:
- Try do an ollie motion while keeping your hand as limp and floppy as possible, slowly add more pressure.
- Try rolling back and popping the tail down without worrying about the rest of the trick yet, let the board roll back upside down onto your hand.
- Practice the finger motion on a table without the fingerboard first, then the same thing on the board.
- Don't push down so hard before the trick.
I can do it vertically and on my leg but I can't get it to pop on a horizontal surface. What should I do?
Jeff Chocolate Alright so this comment is old so you probably already learned the ollie but im just answering this for others. Try doing an ollie on an angle like on a ramp or bank.
@@TheMagicFellow pop
Thank you! The video and tips were really helpful! I will now become a pro skater😀
best tutorial for an ollie so far
I can finally do it but it’s very low. How do you make it go higher?
I belive going faster helps you go higher
@@SunShite no you lift your fingers higher and pop harder
Love the vid in this was so helpful it's just that I think I'm 11 and I think I need longer fingers and more finger strength
im 11 rn and i cant do it because my fingers hurt and then they srent long enough lol
I'm 11 and i not strong enough...😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 our probs 13 or 14 now @@aqri4n

i need help geting it in the air and keeping my figers on it
kevin figueroa Me too
kevin figueroa same 😩😩idk how to get it into the air
Try pop the tail down then immediately slap the nose down. If you keep doing it you'll start to get both sets of wheels in the air at once.
Dude, ty. I haven't tech decked in over 10 years. Even back then we were doing it wrong
Dang you’re an OG tech decker haha
