I can’t do it at all and I just got my first tech deck today and I can only get tm my finger placement right but I can’t get the board to lift up with only 2 fingers
gripison i cannot thank you enough, because of your video i finally learnt how to do an ollie after 2 weeks of fingerboarding (which doesnt seem like a lot, but they were frustrating weeks). i finally stopped using my thumb to push up the board too!
I'm addicted now to fingerboards. If you are a beginner a have a tip for you. Practice on the side of your leg by just trying to put it in the air with your fingersstill on it. I used this trick and now I can do an ollie while moving instead of just stationary. After you can land it on your leg try it on the ground stationary. Once you get that try to do it moving then just keep practicing.
I just realized tonight from some other kids video, that you have to "PUSH DOWN" on the board to pop it up. All the other videos I watched, and it was a lot of them, none of them said anything about pushing down with BOTH fingers on the board then snap it up with a 45 degree wrist flip. Also, I found it easier to do on my lap, but not on the side and not even moving, just flat and push down then flip the wrist 90 degrees!!! I've been messing around with this forever, and finally I can pop it up. Also, if you do it on your lap like that, you can learn to control it in the air as well. I'm getting there... Tomorrow I'm going to put some sort of material on a hard table top the see if I can do it like that without moving. Anyway, if you have been failing at popping it up, it's because you need to push down more with both fingers, then do the 45 degree flip motion so that your front finger lifts away and your back one flips the board up. It's the downward push that was the problem that nobody tells you about, or they meant to but it came out wrong! I hope this helps people as much as it helped me!!!
@@highpineapple Oh awesome to hear! I was obsessed with getting it to work, and once I got it to work, it wasn't easy to explain... Glad to be able to help out! Thanks!
My advice is to just try ollie. It might sound strange but when I was trying to copy the vid for months, I couldn't do it, so I decided to start over. In just an hour I learnt to ollie very well. I only just learnt to ollie so I'm still trying to get higher. I found it easier when there's actually something to ollie onto. I also find it easier not to quickly move backwards before ollieing to gain momentum.
This was useful but I can’t get any air time at ALL for some reason I’ve tried it for about half a hour tho so I’ll probably practice more and hopefully I can at least get the board in the air lol
This helped incredibly well. Before watching this I could only Ollie over another fibnerboard like 30% of the time and now I can do it over my Teak Pallet almost flawlessly!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You just gained a sub. I watched so many other tutorials and they didn’t teach me like you did. I learned how to do an Ollie in five minutes the other tutorials I was waiting for two hours, and it didn’t even help.
I just started finger boarding and the way you taught how to do the Ollie was by far the best I have seen. I have been struggling with it and this made it come together! cant wait for more vids! Thanks Again!!!
Great video because after I watched this video I landed one after like 25 minutes of trying non stop Edit: I don’t have a fingerboard or a techdeck I use a dollar tree finger board
He makes them! Watch his previous videos and you'll learn how. He even has a video showing a ton of different features he's made including many different ramps. They are pretty cheap and surprisingly easy to make. I'd watch multiple of his more recent ramp building videos and go from there!
Thanks alto. after whatching multible videos on ollies i still couldnt get them but after reviewing this one a couple of times i got a pop high enough to get on a phone after 2 hours (which was great to me considering how hard i was trying)
I haven't the slightest clue what they said about it, but you can practice on the wall because it helps you to pop, grab and land the board because the gravity and added pop force gives enough momentum to keep the board on your fingers.
Ok so after training a lot and getting a new finger bored I can now Ollie great, thank you (also my old finger bored sucked so that may be why I was also so bad😅)
On god this video is just amazing lol. I had never thought about doing the ollie fake and it definitely helped. I have gotten a few ollies due to this video and even up some objects.
I just started fingerboarding and this was the tutorial that helped me alot compared to the other vids out there. Thank you vety much on the tips and tricks.
You’ve probably heard this a million times but thank you so much with a few hours of practice I got this down pretty consistently. These tips help me SO MUCH. You just earned a like and sub.
Bro thank you I'm fingerboarding for week now Yu help me to Ollie better I see my improvement. I need better Ollie so I can do some tricks thank you :):):):)')
I’m super confused. I’m doing all the steps right but when I slide my fingers up, nothing happens except the nose of the board just falls to the ground. Any tips to fix this?
i learned the ollie yesterday while randomly trying to do it, i held my left middle finger by the tail and the left index finger by the nose and i did it
This is gonna sound pathetic but I’ve been trying for a year to even get it off the ground without doing some Waco flips, I’ve finally done it. I can now successfully do it like 40% of the time and that’s only 10 mins after using ur method. Thank you so dam much.
weirdly enough I just got my first tech deck and practiced the ollie for one hour and now I can do it almost flawlessly
How I’ve been working on it for three days and can’t land it
@@jaceknight1611 idk maybe try on a wall and then try to do it on the floor
I can’t do it at all and I just got my first tech deck today and I can only get tm my finger placement right but I can’t get the board to lift up with only 2 fingers

But is it a Fortnite tech deck?

I also use the thunb😂
Thank you so much I just started fingerboarding and this helped a LOT. Before I could only do a shove it and I'm inching closer to an ollie, thanks.
Dame
i tryed to ollie for a month then i found this video and now i ollie over EVERYTHING THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO

Normally i never was able to even properly pop the board but with this tutorial i managed to do ollies quite consistently

This is a great video but not good if you can’t get the board into the air in the first place. Please explain
Thank you so much! Landed one within 20 minutes!

After 6 different tutorials and a month of trying, this video was the final piece of my training. I can now ollie.
What helped me the most was trying to ollie over an obstacle
You guys can also put a rubberband around it instead of holding your tech deck with your other hand
I’m really having a hard time getting the back wheels off the ground and I would like to hear some tips on how to get them in the air
yeah same
Same some help

In my about 4-5 years of having a tech deck I’ve never known or learned how to Ollie but this kind of helped me
That shuffle back is just considered preload. Great video!!!!
when I slide my two fingers, do I touch the bored or leave it?
thank you so much i just got my fingerboard\

How do you get it to go higher though my hand just stays the same height every time.
