Big thanks to Flavio, Colin, Gamers Little Playground, and of course Galaxi. All their links are in the description, go check them all out. I'll be gone for a bit, but when I come back, I'll come back swinging with sime dope new videos. Until then, see y'all later!👋
Great video as always, even 5 years later I'm still absolutely baffled by how they handled Xol in this campaign. Fingers crossed they handle the others with a little more respect and gravity than this villain of the week (at best)
Glad to see these salt-analysis videos I like to call ‘em. Not too much gamer-rage, and not too much smugness in your critique, you’re straightforward and detailed making it clear this game’s story was never really great (even though I want Bungie to at least preserve the story that is confusing to new players now)
Season of the Seraph is great, on that we can certainly agree, it's my favorate season and juggles so many plot threads expertly. I do think complaining about Xol's pressence is a little disingenuous though, sure, you may see the Rasputin stuff as more interesting and the hive as a distraction, but others will find the hive more interesting. Xol's pressence is also the first out-of-lore introduction we get to the worm gods, so I wouldn't call it pointless, every DLC should have a villain and that's the major flaw with D1 vanilla and shadowkeep, just because they'll die by the end of it doesn't mean they can't be interesting, it'd obviously help if the expantion was longer, but I still don't think the logical conclusion to draw is that there shouldn't be a villain. And as a side note, we can defeat Xol because he isn't as powerful as Oryx, he's the weakest of the worm gods, and whilst the worms may have been infinately more powerful than the hive when they were created, it's been billions of years and the hive gods have gotten infinately more powerful since then, granted, the worms have gotten more powerful too, but not neccessarily at the same rate. Oryx defeated Akka, who - whilst not as strong as Yul or presumably Xita - was one of the stronger worm gods at the time, so Xol is proveably weaker than Oryx, he's probably around Crota level at most so defeating him with Rasputin's help isn't unrealistic.
This is the dlc that kept D2 from dying tbh. Honestly think was a pretty solid dlc. Sure the campaign wasn’t great but Mars was good, EP was great, the updates to the game were really solid, etc.
Yeah, Curse of Osiris and Warmind never got me interested in the story. I think the red war did really well with the envoirement and the little extras but thats about it. I never resonated with Warmind as much as I did with the archology, a very small and scarse area
Reviewing this with you is reminding me that this game was a shitshow since the beginning of D2. I just wanted it to be great. The only time that I enjoyed this game in D2 was Forsaken. In witch queen the formula of the game was already too boring for me.
No but I do have a members page, I'm not very good at updating the videos I promised but I'm getting there. I'll definitely try a lot harder once I have actual members lol
bro is literally doing the "angsty smartass kids whines about plotholes" bit in 2023 💀 Warmind is the nadir of bungie storytelling but damn I kinda hate it less after this video just on sheer principle

Cant wait to lose my last braincell with forsaken and shadowkeep!!
Keep up the good work
As Mid as Warmind was, Beyond Light and Season of the Seraph did Wayyyyyy better with Braytech Shennagins.
Also Season of the Worthy.....Ish
I look away from my phone for a second just to see Adachi 😭 Shi had me wondering if I clicked on another video for a minute 💀
What are you going to be doing now that this is out?
Relaxing, maybe a Forsaken or persona 3 video in a couple months. We'll see
6:00 Didn’t we run multiple Strikes to defend Rasputin’s assets in D1? not just that but also with the clearance of the Vanguard?
