    This sun lotion is so tough to remove with regular cleansers, it’s super water resistant, it’s great for going to the beach tho.

      I usually do Micellar water all over, then the Tatcha oil cleanser, then Cereve Hydrating cleanser. Seems to do the trick. But If I have a stubborn sunscreen, I also use my muslin cloth from Eve Lom.

    The US would rather treat the disease than prevent it. 🤨
    I found a really cheap mineral sunscreen from Walmart. It’s Equate Kids. I don’t find it drying, and it doesn’t bother my rosacea. I’ve used it for a few years. $5! 🤓
    Edit- Actually think your darker light looks fine!

      In this case, sunscreen falls under FDA and so the new generation of chemicals have to go through expensive trials. I can't understand why the maker (I think a German company, BASF, makes one of them) wouldn't just pay for the trial...I'd imagine it would open up a great deal of revenue for them.

    I use this sunscreen and really like it - it spreads easily and is just a nice fluid type sunscreen.

    I love this sunscreen when they changed the formula 3 years ago removing the fragrances and have been using it since 2019... UNTIL they reformulated the new formula and made it physical AND chemical combo (no more zinc oxide) and made the bottle smaller - from 200ml to 150ml!! (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
    I can't do chemical sunscreen (always hurts my eyes) and i have atopic dermatitis so I'm back to the drawing board for me. Sigh.
    PS: physical sunscreen is always hard to remove but I never have problems removing them with a good oil cleanser which also removes waterproof eye makeup.

      Perhaps try Cotz sunscreens? They seem to be considered good...though maybe a bit expensive.

    is there any sunscreen that dries matte, controls oil and doesn't shine at all? climate: hot and humid, every sunscreen ends up melting off my face and all of them make my face so shiny.

      Try Australian Gold.

      ISDIN Fusion Water, Etude House sunprise mild airy finish sun milk. Also use oil controlling skincare, my fav is the plant base pore n sebum silky emulsion, it leaves your face mattified all day long.

    Thanks for the sunscreen review. I wont be getting this one, as per your recommendation. I just noticed that the birds are gone. Did the baby manage to fly away?

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  4 роки тому +1

      So...the bird went into my neighbors yard last week. She was not enjoying the situation. Two days ago I stopped seeing him and three days ago she left the little bowls I left in her backyard with kibble for the bird, on my doorstep. I'm not sure what happened to him, I fear the worst for him. I haven't seen or spoken to my neighbor in a week which is unusual. I'm a bit sad and disappointed about the whole thing. This little guy didn't want to give up!

      The Hooded Lid Sorry I brought it up. Nature can be cruel, even when we humans try to help. I have on several occasions brought injured or orphaned birds and rabbits to rescue centres, with about one in four surviving. Last week, i saw a baby starling sitting on my deck, completely immobile. I walked up to it and it remained still, so I eventually picked it up and gave it a few drops of water, from the water dish I leave out for wildlife. It was a vey hot day so i figured it was dehydrated. After a few more sips, it perked up, so I held it up to our bird feeder, it hopped up on it and after a couple of minutes, it flew back to its flock. Happy ending, this time.

      @@jocelynel-fab5214 I love this story! Congratulations on your success. I wish I knew what happened to "my" bird. His parents were visiting, I'm sure his mom was feeding him and I left food too...

      The Hooded Lid You did all you could. The rest was up to luck, mama bird and your neighbor. Though it’s no consolation, the vast majority of backyard birds don’t survive beyond one reproductive cycle. For example, this year in most of eastern Canada, it’s been so dry that there are no mosquitos at all! First time in my 60+ years, that I am able to go outside without Eau de Off (I am allergic to mosquito bites). I am sure this has caused the demise of many birds, bats, and aquatic animals that feed off mosquitos or their larvae. This global warming thing is absolutely undeniable. Though many people in Canada enjoy the warmer winters, I miss the cold snowy days. Over the last 30 years the snow has been arriving later and later, and melted earlier and earlier; this winter, I barely got 3 weeks of good snowshoeing with my poodle (who loves to catch his frisbee in the snow).

      @TheHoodedLid  4 роки тому

      @@jocelynel-fab5214 I didn't know birds only love one reproductive cycle! I also didn't know Canada was having shorter winters. I follow a few Canadians, one on the east and she talks like the winters last a lifetime there! In my lifetime, our weather has changed a good deal, as well. Our summers last much longer than they used to!

    Which sunscreens do you recommend? You don't seem to have a lot of sun spots so I would take your advice. Thank you.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  4 роки тому +2

      The best sunscreen is the one you like enough to put on everyday! Are you looking for mineral or can you go either way? Are you oily, normal or dry?

    • @MWall
      @MWall 4 роки тому

      @@TheHoodedLid I probably could go either way. I have been using Colorscience Sunforgettable Total Protection and/or Glo Skin Beauty. I think they are both mineral, but I feel like I'm not getting enough protection. I recently have been seeing some sun spots on the high points of my cheeks. I guess I would be considered Dry skin type.

    I finished a bottle of this Suncreen. Only concern is the Bergamot oil scent and it's so hard to remove with a regular cleanser. It's also tacky. I have to set it with a powder.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 роки тому

      It's not ideal - I tend to use it on my chest rather than my face. But I always clean first with micellar water, then oil cleanser, the a gentle cleanser. That seems to get all the sunscreen off.

    • @artbyingrida

      It is nice to apply first time, but when I apply second time during the day (as you should re-apply basically every 2hours) it becomes caky, it does not dissappear on the skin, stsys white layer, tacky and also IMPOSSIBLE to wash off even witj double cleansing method... Not good :(

    Does it have a strong smell or fragrance in it? Because I see some flower extracts and fruit extracts but not surer about the fragrance components in them for my sensetive light rossacea prone skin
