@@DrDrayzday I'm using the new formulation of the fluid and I have to say, it's really good. I have awful eczema that I finally have under control but I was using the old formula (the orange bottle not blue which they discontinued) and they seem to have listened to you and others - there's no bergamot oil anymore. So far, I never had an issue with this sunscreen and I use it even when I'm having a flare-up bec without any adverse effect. Would you take a second look? I like brands that listen to their customers.

I've used the sun fluid (since it is the better value) and find it moisturizing and non irritating. I like it because it goes on well underneath AND on top of my makeup, so it makes reapplocation a breeze. I have not noticed a scent to it at all, will have to go back and sniff it...

I love the sun fluid sunscreen. I have medium skin tone so finding a physical sunscreen that won’t leave a white cast and this goes on clear! I don’t get a white cast at all! The only thing I will say is it leaves my skin feeling dry...but I normally have dry skin. So I just have to really layer on my moisturizer before I put it on

I had been considering the sun fluid because it's actually quite affordable on the website (around $25 for 200ml) but I didn't go for it because I heard it can be drying, and even though I have light skin, I found that I dislike mineral filters because they take time to disappear on my skin. I also considered the sun gel because it had niacinamide in it but decided not to go for it due to the fragrance and the fact that it is overpriced for the UV filters it uses. I am currently using Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Mild Gel SPF30 PA+++. Even though the protection is not as great as the former two, I find that it's affordable enough for me to apply and reapply when I need to, and is alcohol (I find it drying) and fragrance-free (my last sunscreen was a Biore one, and the scent was strong) to boot. The filters are octinoxate and Uvinul A Plus. Have you heard of Krave Beauty's (Liah Yoo's brand) recently launched sunscreen, Beet The Sun SPF47 PA++++? It uses very modern filters (Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb S, Uvinul T150, Parsol SLX, and Uvinul A Plus). Unfortunately, because of this, it has to be rebranded for the American release and thus can't label itself as a sunscreen. I think it's fragrance-free and it does have some alcohol but not a lot. Also, i think it's going to retail at $20 for 50ml, which isn't cheap. I'm wondering if you'd be interested in trying it out when it releases!

While bergaptene is a photo sensitizer, many ingredients are and it does not negate the efficacy of the sunscreen :) Make P:rem considers the percentages of ingredients in their sunscreen proprietary information but I can tell you it is a very small percentage used, mostly only for a natural fragrance enhancement." It's my current fave. I'm really loving it but would love your expert opinion. I have the make p:rem sun cream for the face, not the 2 you showed. It's all mineral also. I do really like it but it's more mattifying so definitely not for someone with dry skin. I'm oily, acne prone and I do like it, but I don't like the 2 essential oils in it. I got the UV sport and tinted facial one you recommended. They’ll be my first physical sunscreens I try versus chemical. I’m going to be ordering Altruist tomorrow after I get paid ☺️

Thank God you came with this video. I intend to buy it, but now I have to think about it. My skin is super sensitive and have neurodermatitis and also acnes everywhere on my skin. Maybe I have to search for another option. Neither both of your sunscreen recommendation is available on my country. Like cerave or EltaMD or avene. I'm still searching for good sunscreen. What I'm wearing now is Babyganics mineral sunscreen. Hope you can review this product. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Thanks for the video. You've made my day 😁

Wow, I really wish I had seen this before I tried the Sun *Cream* version of this line last weekend. It was a gorgeous finish for the one day I was able to use it, but it's taken my skin several days to repair itself after the super unpleasant irritation it caused the day after. Thank you for confirming my skin is not (entirely) crazy!

Dean Skibinski I can’t use anything with Essential Oils. I found out the hard way. Bergamot is one of the worst offenders. It’s in a lot of fragrances, so I’ve learned to spray fragrance on my clothes and not my skin. The Fragrances would cause a burning sensation. I used to spray behind my ears, elbows and behind my knees. I’m glad to hear your skin is recovering!

My skin can't handle essential oils, either, and I'm usually really good at steering clear of them, but the reviews I read about matte finish and minimal white cast clearly caused me to abandon my usually careful nature this time! :-) And thank you! Nothing a little CeraVe Healing Ointment couldn't solve, but painful and annoying, nevertheless!

Dean Skibinski I can well imagine! Ouch! The Cerave Healing Ointment is phenomenal! I went a bit crazy and ordered the 12 oz Tub and x2 5 oz tubes! I know you've done a video on eczema in the past, but is it possible to do another one? I have eczema on my face, around my eyes, and I have just been prescribed a tacrolimus ointment. I've been told to use sunscreen when using it but I don't know what sunscreens are good/well tolerated for eczema prone skin, or moisturizers that aren't so thick that they would compromise the effectiveness of the sunscreen. I'd love a video talking about different products, moisturizers, sunscreens etc for eczema on the face, and any other tips!
    Edit:
I've also been prescribed a steroid ointment for occasional use. I've heard a lot of talk about steroid addiction/withdrawals. What are your thoughts on this?
Edit 2: I just saw your video on topical steroids, I don't know how I missed it!

Dr Dray, I've been meaning to ask you about fragrances. I know you always say it's best to avoid products with fragrances, even if you have no noticeable reactions to it. And I don't buy any NEW products that have artificial or natural fragrances added. However, I still have some old products (that I can't return) that have small amounts of fragrance in them. I don't (currently) have any reaction to fragrance. Is fragrance so problematic that I shouldn't finish up the products I already have? Should I throw them out to be safe?

Did they actually change the formula of the mineral fluid sunscreen? Because, while the ingredients are the same, it has lately literally no smell and resembles more the smell of unscented ELTA MD pure physical 47. So many extracts but no fragrance. I'm still kind of scared to use it because of bergamot oil, but to be honest this sunscreen cosmetically is really very good and i can imagine why people would wear it under make up or just every day. It feels decent on the skin, is a bit dry. And although my skin is sensitive due to tretinoin, it tolerates this sunscreen as well as unscented Elta MD. Plus is really much more affordable.

Dr. Dray! Thank you! I was was waiting for this review. I’ve never used these BUT I use the sun cream version. There is still a lemony smell to it but I don’t get a headache.
This is rare bc I have a definite reaction to any flowery scents/ perfumes. I can’t even burn candles. I’m wondering if it’s bc these ingredients are further down the list than the gel and lotion form.
Either way I’m glad I listened to this bc I was thinking about getting the lotion form since there was more value.
The cream is $35 for 70 ml / 2.36 fl oz. I don’t however wear it daily. I tend to switch between this the Neutrogena and the Elta md tinted UV clear.
Side note: the Elta md tintes UV clear stopped polling up after the first time I used it. I have a feeling it did that bc of the heat it was in from delivery. A few days later I tried it again and it was fine. I was even able to put makeup over it. 😁

What do you say about the popular belief that using more than one or two skincare products can cause problems ? I’m currently using ponds cold cream cleanser to remove makeup, Neutrogena transparent facial bar, Mary Kay replenish serum, Mary Kay moisturizer for normal to dry skin and ponds anti-wrinkle cream. I don’t have any reactions to any of this stuff. During the day I only use the facial bar and cerave moisturizer sunscreen broad spectrum spf 30. And I think I’m having a reaction to the sunscreen and I think it might be a fragrance reaction. My eyes are burning and very sensitive to light at the moment. So I’m going to search out a fragrance free sunscreen. But my mom fully believes it’s because I’m using more than one thing.
