Nice video! One of my favorite places in the world. I’ve been hiking up there since I could walk, got engaged up there and look forward to bringing my son up there for the first time this year!
That is awesome! 😊. How old is your son? My daughter just turned 5 and she’s getting where she will go exploring with me a lot more. It’s good to take them out like that. Get them away from internet and the fake world so many people live in. Glad you enjoyed the video!
You’ll love it! Such a beautiful spot!!! I was there when there wasn’t much foliage so I can only imagine how beautiful it will be with all the greenery.
Congratulations on a very well deserved 500..your videos are always wonderful to watch and very entertaining with epic views and top notch editing. A pleasure my friend. Have a wonderful day 🇨🇦👍🤘
Appreciate it brother! I absolutely love making these videos. I used to have an interest in video games a little bit growing up but I’ve never been the type to stay inside or sit still for very long. So being out and trying to get good shots and then bringing it all back home to edit in my own way kind of has that same feeling of competition in a sense and it just drives me for some reason. Glad you enjoy my videos! It means the world to me
Love it. Awesome video Cody. What a place, the shot at 4:29 pulling back was epic and the colour grade was spot on. This is just great Cody. Glad to see you are still rocking the Crocs, I have just been informed by my wife that my dog has eaten one of mine, sad times. 😁
That’s awesome! It’s a really spectacular place! Really easy hike into it as well. The views are endless! It’s awesome the forest service keeps it up and allows anyone to go explore and admire the view. I’d love to camp out in there one night!
Great video Cody👍. What an amazing location to film. Great job. Your drone shots are fantastic. Congratulations on passing 500 subs. Well deserved. I find it very difficult to pick up subs, and know how difficult it is. So big congratulations form me. Keep the video's coming. Take care.👍👍👍
@@CodyCarr It's a big achievement. Huge actually. I pick up subs and lose some just as fast. If i ever reach 500 i will be delighted. So well done again. Have a great day👍
What a fab place. Love the name. Can’t believe you hiked in crocs 🤣🤣🤣. Another brilliantly well put together adventure and some great drone shots of course 👍🏻
Thanks Jaq! Appreciate that! Heck yeah lol Crocs are so comfy! I had a really bad broken leg a couple years ago almost breaking my entire foot off and crocs are so comfortable for me. I’m just thankful I can still walk normal.
This video was nothing short of Epic Cody. From the intro to the hike then followed by the descent you had me captivated. It wasn’t a long hike only half and hour ( that’s because you had to almost walk it twice taking camera shots if you hiking right 😆😆) Those shoes are made for hiking hey 😂😂😂 The tower the pictures and all the trees that have ejected their leaves for fall was just stunning. I love the parts where you explain the video it really helps me get into it and understand. I have a few to catch up on that’s for sure 👍
Thanks brother! I’ve been trying to incorporate some commentary on those type videos because I have so many questions from people about the places and why and how and I think it helps bring the viewer in for a better understanding like you said. Again, thanks a million!
@@CodyCarr Well it’s the same for me mate. I think to be truly invested as a viewer it’s nice to understand the adventure. Especially if your a first time viewer. As you get to know the channel you understand the creator more if course. Have a great night mate with the family 😊
I feel that the view form this might be better then spruce because there isn’t any huge mountain range blocking any view in either direction. I think you can see the curvature of the earth from this one 😍
Thank you Courtney! I'd never heard of this place til like a month ago....weird..all the places i've explored and never heard of this one? it is really neato!
Crocs in 4WD😂Awesome. Hey man, cangrats on 500, you'll be past me soon. What a spot, you're right, sunrise would be awesome there man. Great vid once again mate. Nice edit. Thanks once again for sharing a part of your world mate. Great stuff. Cheers
Thank you Matt 🙏. I’m running out of places close to me to film. The next video might have to be the drone circling a pine tree till the battery runs out 🤣😂
That’s awesome! I’ll have to check that out! I’m less then an hour from it and I had never heard of it. I thought I have explored everything within a 100 miles radius 😆. That’s a spectacular place!
The last little piece of trail wasn't crock stock. Amazing 360 degree views. You have a good content producer style. I'm sure you are going to do well. Awesome aerial views. I wish I'd think out my plan a little better like you, BUT, I suck😊Like 27😉Ya, your crocks were not made for these rocks. Wow a poet😁stay safe
😂🤣😂🤣😂. Your not rockin unless your crockin! I honestly never have a plan going out. I just try to find something interesting and then think of my shots with the drone when I get there. I would love to invest in a good camera for ground use if I’m going to do more little adventure things. I’m not much of a blogger or whatever. I’m a good really and being on camera just makes it worse😂. But hey, as long as it’s entertaining for someone I’m all for it
Great video- thanks! Can’t wait to make my own trip with the family up there. A couple thoughts- could you add more info in your video? Where it is? What it was built for, etc? Will definitely check out your other videos. And watch out for those rattlers and copperheads with those crocs, man!
Hey thank you 🙏. Glad you enjoyed. I try to leave all info bits in the description of the video so You’ll have a better understanding of the place. Believe it or not I’m kinda camera shy so it’s a lot for me to even do that 😂. I try to capture the beauty around the best I know how. If you get a chance to take the family there then you have to do it. It’s a beautiful spot. The hike in is about a mile but it is relatively easy and there are benches for breaks along the way. This was a fire lookout back in the day and the forest service has preserved it for people to enjoy. It is now mainly used as a bird watching station and is open to anyone who wants to come admire its views. Any other questions you have about the place I would be glad to answer. Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome!.. another place on the list I have to check out! Can't even imagine what it was like to build that there and what must go in to maintaining a structure like that in such a hostile environment?
K Scott, they have a Facebook page and the folks who maintain it are really good at answering questions. They could tell you. Their FB page is under Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory.

Wow another great Video 👌👌👌👌👌👌
Thanks brother! 🤘🤘
WELL DONE, Cody!!!! Another top shelf production. What a cool spot! Loved the tree trunk transition! 100%
Thanks Nate! As you could tell from that tree trunk transition I really need a gimbal for sure. Kind of shakey in different bits
@@CodyCarr
I’ll try my new out tomorrow. It should work well with stabilization on the Osmo Action as well as the 3-axis gimbal. 🙏🏼
Can’t wait to see that smooooth footage
Allright Cody, congratulations on 500. Your absolutely right fantastic view . You got some great shots, for sure !! mike
Thanks buddy 👍. Appreciate that!
I missed Matt’s live last night. Anything interesting?
@@CodyCarr no, not really he cut it shorter than usual, just a couple hours, I will see next friday, if not before 🤙🤙👋

Killer man, is the tower in Monroe county or on the VA side? Our fire towers are disappearing, I hate it.
It’s in Monroe county
