- Today I take a small break from van life travel to stay in a cozy OFF GRID lookout tower deep in the north Georgia mountains. It's equipped with solar power, water, a cozy bed, wood burning stove, and a micro kitchen! I could live like this. Small kitchen, small bedroom, small gaming area, small bathroom, HUGE personal space and amazing views. And I can just imagine how crisp that forest air is.
Only problem is I'm scared of heights. 3 meters above the ground and my knees are tingling 😅
also the potential bears, mountain lions and maybe other creatures of the night😂 but carry a shotgun, hunting rifle, crossbow or bow, a hatchet, and hunting knife, and this could be a very nice place to live
@@dream8870Well hopefully they don't know how to open doors so I at least could be safe while inside. Also maybe adding a gate at the bottom of the stairs so the bears hopefully wouldn't even get to the door.

he's like a traveling gamer which actually is visiting nature
From what I've seen he's still a coddled gamer who probably hates nature but forces himself to go out to make videos giving him validation on UA-cam. You can see he is overweight and have no visible muscle on his body. He breath heavily after a 5 min walk, so he spend his days sitting inside while not making videos. He is acting a bit girly so maybe he's transitioning, in that case sry.

I love this dud’s appreciative mindset towards the little things, like the river, the view of the mountains. It’s refreshing to see someone else who enjoys the same things when it seems most of the world takes it for granted
The level of work is insane! The lit up shot from the forest means you had to walk out there in the dark while freezing to get that shot, the drone shots, all of it! Hubby is a videographer so I fully understand the amount of work and up and down you had to do just to make this 40 minute video. 🤯

This video has made me want to plan a log cabin vacation. My country doesn't have massive national parks with these towers so a log cabin is probably the closest I'll get. The pointing out of the outdoor fire pit with the clean crisp air is what sold me. Gonna start planning soon.

The ultimate immersion. I used to live in the mountains in Washington state. I used to hike every day and id bring my switch or tablet with me. Id find a cozy spot and just play games for a few hours or watch something i downloaded to my tablet earlier. there is something so incredible about enjoying these things while you're in nature. some people think its stupid and assume you cant appreciate the beautiful nature but they couldn't be more wrong.
I just found your channel and it's the best thing I've found this year. I can't explain how much I love the forests and nature, and through your videos I get to experience their beauty since I haven't had the opportunity to do so in person. Such an inspiration and motivation for me! ❤

this video reminded me of my two month stay in Denmark exactly a year ago. I don't know why, because I wasn't staying in a fire tower, I wasn't there by myself but with two class mates of mine and we didn't stay at a forest, but a smaller place directly next to a little yacht marina. Yet I remember sitting on the balcony one evening in mid Fabuary in the dark and freezing just looking over the water, reflecting the lights and into the sky at the stars and instantly realizing how insanely lucky I was to get the chance to be in that moment of pure perfection. It's truely unfortunate how those two months, which I easily can classify as the most magical time of my life this far, will forever be tainted by myself failing to graduate my job training. However: I would do it all again if I had the chance! What a nice reminder of how good life can be

The moment you said you have a 2 hour drive to the Fire Tower I straight away thought of the 2 hour drive of the protagonist of Fears to Fathom. It gives chills just thinking of how relatable you were to the game during your stay.

I just adore this. It was a huge dream of mine growing up to spend a summer working a firewatch tower. I held onto that dream through college, unfortunately in my area the towers had pretty much all been abandoned and that job became drone operated. So many people find that idea creepy or scary, but I think it would be peak relaxation and bring me so much peace. I would love to still get a small taste of that life by staying at an AirBnB like this, it's so darn beautiful~

Whoever owns that place, should install a tall gate at the base or halfway up the stairs. One that you need to enter in a gate code to open for protection.

This is my first time watching your channel... I love how you decked out your van. You utilized every inch of that space and it looks amazing and very comfortable for 1, maybe 2 people to live out of for a while. I've been thinking of doing the same with my daughter so seeing your van is encouraging that it can be done and still be comfortable. The Crows Nest Firetower was so awesome. I could seriously live in that thing. I'd have to book it for at least 3 to 4 nights to truly appreciate the beauty of that place. The Appalachian Mountains are gorgeous any time of year.

I just wanna add that in Minnesota where I live, ponds and small lakes are freezing over and my plan today is to drive around and poke a chisel in the ice and check ice depths. It's about 10 degrees over night the past few days. I bet we have at least 2 inches of ice right now.

I started watching your videos the other day and I'm so hooked. I'm watching these while doing some work from 11pm till 8 in the morning. And I want you to know that it's one of the best feeling. The cinematography, the background music, and everything that you mix within your videos is totally crazy and awesome.

The second night, the way you edited and selected music made the whole vibe SO cozy. I absolutely loved it. Question: I saw the bedroom was heated, but was the bathroom heated? I can't imagine having to run back and forth between rooms on a cold day especially after get out of bed or taking a shower. Haha.
I only heat my room when I shower, never heat bathroom, kitchen or whatever, so you get used to it pretty easy, no big deal

It's a fire tower, it's not supposed to have things obstructing the view outside.
Yup some removable curtains or blinds would be great to cover the part where there is bed.
