- The bone stock b18c gsr turbo engine is back on the dyno once again with @rudzracing8462 and Mikey Spec. This car has made almost 500whp in the past on the same setup, but with an ebay turbo instead of the new @precisionturbo 5858. With the big race against @_Gingium_ coming very soon, the Full Send Turbo Civic is going to need all the horsepower that it can handle. Today Mikey seriously cranked it up with no mechanical sympathy whatsoever. Win at all costs.

Unless you're running different fuel at different times, don't do a high boost and a low boost tune. You need one reliable tune to keep your shit together.

Take extra axels for Florida the prep work here is very sticky and you gotta make sure you have extra of pretty much everything specially being in the heat and you gonna have to retune for the altitude

I've ran the ngk bkr7e spark plugs in multiple Bseries turbo engines all have been running great with those.

Hey John what happened to the built ls vtec engine, I feel like you might of made a video on it and I’m just forgetting but last I remover it was going to be completely taken apart to like find the source of those metal shavings. Did you end up fixing the engine and it’s just in the background till the stock gsr blows up or is it out of commission.

Im thinking you got the ls on too end i have same car gutted and weigh around 2klbs i just switched to E85 with a built b16 and im hoping for 600 on the dyno good luck with the race! Also check into making sure the track doesn’t require a drip shield under the car

Dam I'm getting ready to do arp head studs and head gasket on my gsr eg 4dr. I plan to boost at the end of the year. Good to know I can get my goal of 300 with out boosting alot I'll definitely be getting the 5858

I’m trying to boost my b16a with stock internals. What of a number on hp could I spect with an eBay turbo Playing it safe?. Also love the look of the eg maybe I’ll get to see it personally one day👍❤️
If you really want to play it safe, keep it NA, but if you want conservative boost numbers, I’d say no more than 300whp and you could beat on it all day every day for the rest of eternity.
I agree with John 300whp you could go 350whp its the absolute most I would run also get a quality waste gate that is absolutely key also get a quality tuner which is easy today
@@boosted_john I want to push no more than 250 for a safe bet, but if 300 is safe then I will for sure go with it everyday of the week 😅

My low boost high boost switch is my ethanol sensor less then 60% no party 60%+ party time lol

Maybe cylinder 3 has a failing injector
They tested no3 injector and then figured out it didn't flow as much as the rest they cleaned and flowed it which fixed it

Like 19psi I’m this video I think.
But highest boost this setup saw was 24lbs at the drag strip.
@@boosted_john I have a built gsr that I just got done with. I’m running the 6262 precision on 10.5lbs. Just gate right this moment and I was trying to judge my power. I feel like it’s about 450hp but I’m not sure yet.

You’re hearing that correctly. It’s explained at some point in the video that it’s the hondata quick spool feature trying to open and close the wastegate to minimize lag. It’s much smoother on high boost.
