- We head south to Louisiana to the High Lifter Proving Grounds to test out the 2019 lineup of Polaris High Lifter vehicles including the RANGER XP 1000, Sportsman XP 1000 and RZR XP 1000. We also sit down with Marketing Manager of Polaris Off-Road Vehicles - Josh Hermes - to get some insight on the Polaris - High Lifter partnership.

Imagine your job being testing four wheelers in the mud.
I've been deceived by the title. I figured I'd see more about the Razor and Sportsman but all this was about is the Ranger.
I have a 2017 Polaris 1000 high-lifter and I love it never broke anything and I ride it hard. love this bike all the way and it’s always been a helper
Do you think that year is before they went with Chinese parts?
I can only imagine that was one hell of a trip! Talk about one epic invite to go play!
They should make a scrambler HL to compete with renegade
I didnt evwn think about that would be amazing
William Corrales there isn’t really a point because the only main difference between the sportsman and scrambler is shocks and plastics. So there isn’t really a point to releasing basically the same machine.
But it would be cool!
I know a 2019 pavement princess with less than 300 miles with broken seals and bad bearings. Pretty huge machine to be in the muddy category. They are nice and quiet when functional.
I think Polaris has come a long way in terms of quality and reliability with their Highlifter Models. I do believe though they still need to come up with a Scrambler Highlifter and a RZR Turbo Highlifter edition. Tweaking the axle bar durability on the RZR Highlifter would not hurt either.
Gotta love the ad that comes up first about the fire hazard these are. And the coverup.
Nice machines!
When are you going to make that video of that Maverick sport XMR I’m interested myself in buying that one and I want to see how it handles with you
Sick vid
like the sportsman !
When they will build a HL for turbo abd general?????
I would like to see the highlifter in the newer chassis and the scrambler 1000 in a highlifter edition.
76whyworry scrambler has the same frame just different plastics and clutch spring
.
I just got a 2020 rzr highlifter how deep can I go I see they go over the dash and exhaust does the snorkels really work water doesn’t damage my
Can I increase the horse power on the sportsman xp 1000 high lifter?
That parks been open like 10 years to the public I live not even 10 min from it
How does the HL Ranger trail ride?
Why does the RZR still have a reverse chain?! We were 99% sold on a RZR HL 4 until I asked that, then we walked away
Does anyone know what is dragging behind the Sportsman at 9:10-9:13??? Cant get a clear look at it, my first thought was the exhaust can, but I don’t think so…
Looks like the rear fender
I know the sportsman is, but does the ranger or razr come with a gear reduction?
Yea all high lifter come with the gear reduction
The HighLifter proving grounds are a great place to ride Plus the folks at HighLifter it self are super awesome. Now my question that nobody seems to be able to answer why is it that on all the others they put 29.5"s on them and the Ranger they only put 28" tires on it ???
Stacy Reid I've wondered that myself, you'd think they would use forward offset A arms like everyone else makes and put 29.5s on them stock. All skinnies would be cool.
Jeffrey Wydra I know that HighLifter make the forward arched a-arms for it that will allow this
Yeah Polaris is so committed to their customers that it only took until 2019 to get rid of the dumb ass reverse chain when they knew it was a problem since day one
570 sportsman and ranger 570 hl to compete with the xmrs would be nice to play in the mud! not have to pay 20k really don’t need a 1000cc engine with clutching or portals turn the same tires with a 570 for half the price may not sound as cool or be as fast but this ain’t a race anyways lol
Needs bigger tires!
Bigger tires!
I call BS on the graphics. They have been the same since 16
Ranger sales must be down they really didnt mention much about the four wheeler or the razor . Disappointed
I have a 2019 highlifter, still has the front end noise out of the box, put better driveshafts in not this hallow crap. No carrier bearing, and what with the hillard front diff with Chinese bearings?
Pretty sure the axle play and front end noise is on all rzrs. My rear diff pops like hell taking off slow on the throttle
@@hardr7194 i have also heard the noise might go away in time
We just bought a 2019 RZR 1000 High Lifter, and with only 30 hrs, started having issues with front end. Now, with 57 hrs, it locked up. Polaris refuses to warranty. They say we abused it, but there is no way. We don't even ride it as hard as shown in this video. We bought the High Lifter because we were told it was made to withstand abuse. But, we still don't abuse it...we baby it. We always have our granddaughter on my lap, so can't get crazy. NOT happy with Polaris, they are not standing behind their products. Have seen many complaints about this same thing happening to many people, and that the front end is garbage. We love riding, but this will make us buy anything other than Polaris. 57 hours and they want us to pay over $6k to fix their crap.
Wait hold on the sportsman’s have bigger tires than the ranger
If only it came with bigger tires.
HL RZR 570 please and without a steep $tag
frank smith I've basically built my own. 570 Outkast S conversion - 64" wide 17" under the front diff. Should be able to build one for under $12k. It's fun, but I'm planning on moving up to a 1000xp HL this summer.
A good friend of mine had a 570 that he had done a small bracket lift with portals running 35.5" bkts and it ran very well with that setup think he was around 10 grand out the door for that entire setup
Whats up
Lightout :3 watching a video. What’s up
Lol highlifter bumpers are shit I’ve ripped mine off my 18 rzr 2 times now
People buy these just to get themselves dirty. Rich peoples hobby
Just bought one last week for my family to have fun and enjoy. Far from rich, but sometimes it takes money to make memories. Take care.
