@@CastlemaineRodShop1976 Mark,can you let on how much you paid for the XF? guessing by the wad on the dash, it looked like around $5K--$7K.The body on the XF looked great. No cancer showing on that top rear quarter where they usually fault.I'll be following this build.Good choice! good luck!

Forget the 9”, it over kill. Rebuild a EL/EF diff plenty strong enough and you can still keep the fuel tank. Upgrade the in tank to e85 pump and run a under car surge tank. Also put the biggest brakes that still fit into the standard 15” snowflakes. That way you keep the car looking as stock as you can. It’s been a dream of mine to put a barra into a XF fairmont Ghia since the xr6 turbo come out.
We are going to make the unit as a Bolt in kit that fits without needing to remove the original fuel tank.
The main reason behind the 9" is that we are constantly getting calls asking for one to suit the XE-XF etc, this is the perfect time to produce a bolt in kit.
Ok wasn't really going with the XF Barra until you read out the Number Plate 👌
Then I was all for it, yes before the "dad can I get Maccas" from the back seat lol
As for call outs get on to Haulass Garage & Billy Bob 😂
The wagon will need a few upgrades to go with the Barra, but it’s hands down cooler 😎.

As a business you must do these sorts of projects for testing development and showing off your product for potential customers for future builds so I see this as quite a smart yet important project for the rod shop!!

This couldn't of come at a better time. Just got my Rod Shop mounts for a conversion into my '81 XD Fairmont Wagon last week. Love your work. Hope you go through the electrical as that is my only concern.

Watching this when interviewing the seller, Marc was asking what his plans were originally for the xf , i had a feeling this might be built up the way he dreamt of and given back to him from the Rod Shop.. 👍👍

This is going to be awesome, I am currently building a ford xc and this is exactly what I am planning to do. Hopefully I can steal some ideas from this series.

Ironic I have the exact same Fairmont Ghia, engine crane colour and all. I'm going to use the single cam engine at this stage with the C4 and borgwarner rear. I turbocharged the crossflow 15 years ago and that was a bunch of fun.
The wagon will need a bit more motivation to beat the barra
Guys there is a guy in Australia needing an engine 351 Cleveland for his car. He has a UA-cam channel called Dangar Marine check him out he asked for help. I thought since you are in the same country that you might be able to help him.
I'd say I'm more on the Xf side of things, love these fords, did my apprenticeship on these cars.

I wish Clevelands were still a thing down there.. would love to see a proper Aussie built Cleveland. I have a 72 351C HO with 71 2VCJ heads sitting in my garage, unfortunately it's probably going to get sold as I just don't have the money to build it. (it's a D2AE-CA block)
They are still plenty popular in the early Falcons

The green top barra is stronger then the red top. The green top has strong rods and pistons and has better compression for big power.
This is what came with the car mate, we just want to build this to be a reliable cruiser but who knows what might happen later on!

We are going to be bring a few new products out to suit the XF mate. Won't be just to suit the Barra swaps but we if we need to do something that makes the conversion easier for you guys then we will be able to make it available in our conversion parts.
Wouldn't it be easier to fit a ford c4 transmission instead of a gm brand seeing they came with from the factory
We don't have a spare C4 to use for the conversion, but we have plenty of GM autos to pick from.,
We want to do a install using one of our adaptor plate kits that allows you to join a GM Auto box up to the Barra.
It's pronounced Snaubins (in Melbourne)... :P

Blown up in the showroom.... Unfortunately we fed the Barra with to much boost and it blew a hole in the block. We have plans for it but just no time at the moment

David Munday I don’t think Adam Ridley is getting it. The green tops are stronger then some of the turbo motors.
