To be honest I'd truly love to see a hellcat motor I think a supercharged V8 in the body style would incredible I under that they are iconic for the V10 and being a sportscar but a hell elephant or just a nice hellcat that you can actually afford maybe consider I think it get more interest then you think.
Dude, you gotta look into how dB of sound pressure work. Yeah ... WILDLY different. Every +10 dB = 2x louder, (and even greater actual pressure change. Every +20 dB = 4x louder, (and 100x the actual pressure change) That's why you could talk the first time, and even yelling the 2nd time was barely audible.
As a retired painter one of my favorite things is watching someone paint for the first time and seeing it click in their head just how much skill is involved in doing the job properly. Then the next best thing is teaching them how to do that job properly and seeing it click when they figure it out. Incredibly rewarding job to be a painter and even more rewarding to teach others to be top notch painters.
Obligated to comment and thank you for not turning this into a 12-part series with constant sponsorships/ads from companies that gave you free things. Great video and great work! The paintjob turned out fantastic.
When putting the side canards on the front bumper put a washer on the back side of the rivit so it has something to pull without trying to grab into the bumper plastic so it is grabbing the metal washer creating a sandwich effect 👍🏻 much love brother good job as a body guy and shop owner I know the dedication it takes, if you ever need composite repairs were the top shop in Jersey doing composite repairs
I personally LOVE the viper acr. yea even though the first gen was a bloodbath since it WANTED to kill you, the 5th gen made it look so much more AGGRESSIVE
So crazy that you guys are local. Seeing the ACR in person is just a different look. Keep up the amazing work and with all of these spectacular builds.
hey Scraplifelee please look at the frame above ur finger on the right side at 7:38 just right above the strut frame u can see its cracked on both sides and pushed up from when they tried to pull it back into place u can see the tear in the top umder the yellow :) please look at it carefully and dont forget it please 😊
LoL! Small world! I know that car! This car is now in good hands. @LeeC, while the car is on the lift change the oil cooler lines and the power steering lines. Both the car and your garage floor will thank you.
You inspire me. I am 36 years old and I struggled with life for a long time and I still do to this day. I am good at a lot of things but making money just never seemed to be one of them. I am trying to find my way in life, and I think I have something going that could be really grate but I need to put the puzzle pieces Infront of me together to do so. Content creation is one of the puzzle pieces and when I watch your videos it really inspires me. Thank you for the amazing videos.
Mane this video definitely motivated me…That’s my dream car and now I’m saving up to buy a totaled one to build up…Thank you for posting this experience regardless of how long it took you to rebuild it…Keep up the great work and stay blessed…
That Glasurit paint is excellent, and not cheap! I used it many years ago, when I was working at a European auto body shop. I worked on a lot of Porsche and BMW’s , Mercedes, Ferrari, etc that ended up being painted with it. Really high quality stuff!
I just started watching ur channel a few months ago... And I been waiting on a new video for like 2 weeks... Now I get why it took so long for a new upload.. An entire acr rebuild!!!
Lee! super cool build! I can't imagine what it's like to have the manual demon and this side by side in your garage and think 'what should i go to work in'
I love to see you buy a wrecked vehicle. Most people think that you do not know what you are doing. I know that you already have a plan. I like watching you do what you do.
When I worked on copiers (and cars) and something didn't fit quite right...we had to "persuade" it rather than massage. Just some gentle...persuasion...with a hammer. Also, new sub...and a native Marylander (living in Vegas now). Can't wait to see more of this Viper!
God i want one of these so bad, been my favorite car for as long as i can remember. Super glad to see it get the rebuild doesnt deserve to be in a scrap yard
It is perfectly fine in most use cases (except maybe a 6 piston mercedes or something stupid like that). Wont damage the line or anything as long as you dont let it fall of hang all twisted
Beautiful car! Excellent work! What will make it special is that you fixed it with your own hands. To me, that always meant something. Id rather have one that I fixed than spend $150k on a perfect one.
The Viper ACR is one of the most raw power total driver driven cars you can drive. You ask a lot of car people that drives expensive cars what cars scares them the most. Most will say the viper. No abs control no traction control. Its all in the driver. The driver has complete control in the car.
It's 3am and I'm supposed to be working on my cobra right now. I got off at 11pm and I have to be at a job at 5:45.. Thanks for making me procrastinate and watch this entire video lol.
Love the curb appeal of the car, great lines. I didn’t mind the classic racing stripes breaking up the yellow a little, but either way it’s really wild looking. Having uneven back pressure with different muffling or lack there of side to side usually isn’t a great idea for performance but it was a good solution in the short term. Courageous build! 👍🏽
I think you had the only yellow ACR with gray stripes from 09. There's 20 yellow acrs in 09. 4 had black stripes and 1 had grey stripes. If that was an original stripe car. Next viper you get lemme come pick some parts off it..I could use some spares
Beautiful car Your so lucky to have these kinds of cars so readily available in the USA 🇺🇸 Now to see you put a demon engine in one of these ?? Great yellow viper indeed
I love the idea of just keeping it stock. It will hold value better if you keep it stock, as well as have a lot less wear & tear on the engine & transmission so you can enjoy the car for much longer.
Good deal. Part out would make more than your money back. My local Junk Yard co-owner has a nice car collection and one of the newer versions of this car in his collection. Color is burnt orange, and black racing stripes. Huge wing. I had to show him how to turn his running lights on.
Dig the Ruf shit.. Really enjoying watching your vids.. Extremely satisfying watching you go through the entire process of bringing these vehicles back to life
At 7:40 that upper part on the shock bracket looks like it was pulled with a chain downward, like it was pushed up and they pulled it back down with that spot and that’s why that spot is bent outwards
Hey man just want to say you guys are killing it. I found your channel and the video of you cleaning out the demons guts, and I thought wtf? Is he? Why yes he is! Cool let's watch and sub to see if there's success. So glad to see all your projects recently get back on the road. I've binge watched most of your videos since that day. And man the smoked series you guys did was awesome it just blew my mind at how bad some of them were. Keep putting out videos and I'll keep watching them
Not gonna lie you got me jealous af. I respect the work you do and not being disrespectful when I say that. But man the cars you get to drive. Definitely gives me some ambition!!

the fact that you brought and used a potato for a prop is the reason ill watch all your videos from beginning to end! 😂😂😂
The worst part is I forgot it for like 2 days straight..
Potato? I only saw a camera on my Windows XP computer. Running Internet Explorer of course.

It’s a difference between not having $149k and wanting to spend $149k.🤣
I was jus finna say that😂😂
The cost of that body/frame work was at least a quarter of that. They really put in a lot of work.

Out of all the scrap life guys. This is the best channel hands down. This guy has 1 mil sub potential. Great content brotha 💪🏽
He’s getting there man, he’s gained like 200k in a few months now
Wow. Most beautiful car you’ve had on the channel. The yellow especially is an instant Y2K classic.
The Viper was always one of my favorite cars. I feel like they never really got the recognition that they deserved.
that's because dodge
My brothers neighbor has a 4th gen ACR in black. Seeing the v10 and carbon fiber front is insane in person. What a car. Awesome to watch your build
So crazy that you guys are local. Seeing the ACR in person is just a different look. Keep up the amazing work and with all of these spectacular builds.
And also hearing it rip down the road, knows a way to a man’s heart
Next episode: I hellcat swapped my viper
😂
Foreal, because he still has a spare hellcat engine that he hasn’t used yet
Swapping Viper to Hellcat, sounds like changing your pet from bull to cat 😂
Hellcat motor is a down grade from the one in the viper i think so
That would be disappointing.
That's due to Carroll Shelby, Bob Lutz, & Chrysler using a C4 Corvette as the benchmark for the Dodge Viper.
wow, 19k miles, $52k, and it runs! yeah, that's a winner. Congratulations.

That is a fiberglass inner support fender which is not structurally part of the frame. It is glued to the frame but very replaceable.

the brake caliper hanging by the brake line bothers me 6:54
And those calipers are HEAVY to be hanging off a flex hose.
Came looking for this comment the second I saw him do that. Zip tie or bungee with the hooks.
there was a old viper book back in my old elementary schools library and that made this one of my favorite cars
Thats my favorite generation of viper! I think they look way meaner than the latest generation.

When you mentioned that rotor was bigger than your head I was waiting on Fernando to holler out. Not by much 🤣🤣🤣. Great content as always.
I love the Dodge Viper.. Its such a bad ass car!
Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of Vipers (I don't hate them either), but your rebuild is so satisfying, it has totally won me over! 😁❤
Need more of the longer videos Lee!! The viper came out sick good job
That Glasurit paint is excellent, and not cheap! I used it many years ago, when I was working at a European auto body shop. I worked on a lot of Porsche and BMW’s , Mercedes, Ferrari, etc that ended up being painted with it. Really high quality stuff!
I miss the viper so much, this car is legendary and needs to be back on the street
Holy cow, I’ve looked at parts you sell on eBay for my C6 Vette and completely stumbled across your channel, how awesome!
Damn dude don't you know any better than to let a caliper dangle by the brake hose..
Aluminum caliper..... lol
Still bro that hurt my head
This man loves cars. And is very knowledgeable about every part. Love this channel
New guy here. I plan to get a scrap car and build for myself too. Its just the best way. You get to know the car even better
The bracket above the coil over has been pulled. You can tell by the dimple in the bottom right corner. It’s been pulled with a hook.
Great job lee, I remember when dodge released this and the Viper GT. One of the best race cars dodge stumbled upon. Sounds fired.
curious how you learned so much about engines and all this stuff. so impressive. wish i knew half of what you do so i could play with cars like this

Former ASE tech.(retired 2012) Hope the O2 sensor move doesn't set off CEL. My only concern, and back pressure to sound sync . But looks Great
You also have a reman transmission in it by mopar. Can tell by the orange sticker on the side.
