I like the suggestion of not buying clearance plants, but at the same time, I like buying clearance plants not with the intention of getting a good deal, but because I gain alot of knowledge bringing a dying plant back to life. :)
Thank you so much for this video. It’s one thing to learn by killing a plant, but learning from someone who’s already killed the plant is brilliant! 💚😎💚
Yes we learn the hard way I remember importing my First plant and it was stuck in the mail for 2 weeks after it made it inside the US then I lost all the leaves but 1 it had lots of roots I put it in a pot too big then got root rot 🥹 so I had this huge Gloriousum turn into 2 small nodes I lost one of those . One tiny Gloriousum node left ! 2 years later she’s putting out her 3rd beautiful leaf . She also had spider mites , so I learned a lot with this one . Thankfully she’s doing much better 🌱🍀
Ashley, I thoroughly enjoyed this informative video, many thanks! I always enjoy your content and this one doesn’t disappoint. Take care and happy growing. 👌🪴🥰
Tell you a story about that plant by your anthurium V. My husband and were involved in plant buying and shipping wholesale up north. We were on the west coast Of Florida looking in grow houses for unusual things to buy and ship from my grow house on east coast of Florida. Well I walked in this huge grow house and it was full of those plants. Big leaves and roots every where! 30 years ago. I fell in love! Well we bought a bunch and shipped them of course I still have it 1 pot full. Needs repotting. She is beautiful today! They are great plant to grow.
I'm definitely experiencing the effect of too many grow lights or lights that are too bright for the plants. The lights where you can adjust the brightness level are better 👍
Great tips! The Repot me site is fabulous! I love that you can even get orchid baby mix! My mom's orchid grew a baby off of the flower stalk... who knew????? I'll be ordering some of their baby mix.
On a certain level, we have plants in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.
Plants to avoid due to pest magnets! Premulina get mealy bugs like crazy! I’ve tried a few times & still have a couple but I’m not replacing any of my primulina I have lost or if I lose the ones I have now. I’m cutting them off my plant list.

Oh no!
What's the plant at 17:00? (Please don't let it be a peace lily 🙏🏽🤞🏽🙇🏽♀️)
Sorry but it looks like it's the variegated peace lily from her repotting a peace lily video!
Yes! A peace lily!
Anyone else "give" plants to their spouse to make room to buy more for you?
Good idea!
