Friends have always given me their dyeing plants to bring back to life and it seems like those plants will grow good for me I've always loved plants and gardening even when I was 5 and 6 I would bring starts from my grand mothers plants home and make myself flower beds I really like your videos thank you
Wonderful class on philodendrons. Thanks for sharing . I liked ur word “ parent of your plants “ it’s so apt and so is our relationship with these lovely beauties. Many thanks and many blessings 💐
Ashley, perfect plant video! Your plants are so healthy and beautiful. So enjoyable to watch with great information and tips. You never disappoint. The shot you showed of your plant under the pendulum grow light ….. flat out sold me on how much difference it can make for our plants. I remembered the video where you showed the install. 🙂. I will be ordering several! Love your channel and the time and effort you put into making sure you give your viewers the best content possible. Truly appreciated!! 👌🪴🥰👏
I am realizing i am a philodendron fan once i realized how many i have. I recently got a few babies and wonder if you have a video on care for baby philodendrons, like tiny.. in 1 or 2in pots.
My Tree phildendron along with my orchids love my sansi 15w led grow light and it's popping new leaves left and right and had to be reported twice within the last 6 months and I usually water it once I see signs of a new leaf
Excellent video- so informative, full of valuable info delivered in a clear and concise manner. This will definitely help bring some of my Philodendrons up to speed. I also appreciate you mentioning that wood planks need to be unpainted, I was going to try planks in the near future. Your channel really brings a smile to so many of us in the plant community, we love you!
How about dark philo leaves like black ones. Dark Lord, and Black Majesty - do they also like bright indirect light without washing out the leaf color?
Great video! I have been experimenting with misting my leaves/stems/arial roots/poles/planks with my regular diluted fertilizer. I use a fan to make sure it’s drying and not getting fungal. I notice faster bigger growth especially with planks/arial roots. Thank you for sharing all your great tips!
Yep the fan…I bought a small one from Walmart and it’s perfect. 18$. My lil sunroom gets tons of sun but nothing else so I’m putting a fan and humidifier bf I reorganize that room after my rabbits got in there🙊😡✌️
Philodendron birkin is actually a climbing philodendron if you grow it for 2-3 years without propagating it will become leggy and need to get support like a normal climbing philodendron
Very informative. You might add "adult" leaves also come with time. And dont expect them if you are constantly propagating and chopping them up for profit. I also found ...no more knats=no more humidifiers
Hi Asheiy👋 thank you for all these great tips the plants that you have are very beautiful and I'm loving all these big leaves I always enjoy watching your videos🌿☘😍🥰🤩👍👍🤟🤟💛🧡🖤
Good humidity is very necessary, in fact I would say it's the most important factor in growing large leaves, next to fertilization and lighting. Simply put; when your plant evaporates water through the stomata on its leaves faster then it can regain water, which is the case with low humidity, the stomata will close more often so the leaves doesn't lose too much water, and to further prevent evaporation the plant will limit the size of its leaves. If you have good humidity, the leaves will grow larger to create more stomata as a response to allow the leaves to breathe better. So if you want as big leaves as possible, a humidity of 60-75% is a must. However you can get large leaves simply by providing enough lighting and fertilize regularly, as long as your humidity stays above 50%. But I definitively agree with the notion that if you want big plants; buy big plants. I see so many plant people here on UA-cam that buys baby plants and are really excited to watch them grow large, but in 90% of cases that will never happen. Not only because it's very difficult to give these plants the ideal conditions that allows them to grow large, it also very much depends on where the plant was grown from and the conditions in was grown in. But if you buy a big plant you are much more sure of it being a healthy specimen, because otherwise it wouldn't have been able to grow big in the first place. Not all plants are created equally.
Thank you for sharing these tips! I bought a philodendron Billietiae x Atabapoense in water. Can I really keep it in water forever or should I pot it to get good growth? Thanks,
Hello ! Thank you for this video, it is really helpful and so informative. Would it be at all possible to do another video and give us some tips and tricks to get a climbing philodendron to adhere to the wall or look more pretty. I have a beautiful one that I have kind of wrapped braided burlap string around and then attached to the wall with command hooks ( wish I could/knew how to add a picture here to explain better🙈) but I don’t know where to go from here ! 😔 nor do I know what to do with the ultra long roots
Hello, I’ve been using a 3-1-2. Wanted to go to a 10-10-10 do you think that would be too much of a jump also if I do go half when do I use regular strength?
Its either condensation droplets if your humidity is high or it could be guttation if it appears morning and night, or sap in which case you can check it for pests. Theres vids about the differentiation :)
Thanks so much for actually showing what you mean by "bright, indirect light". No one ever does
I like your video because you go straight to the point instead of too much talking about your mentality.

Can we have a tour of your plant room?? I love to see the set ups and plant babies!

You just saved me from repotting too large. Thank you!
For me it's the fertilizer I use, they reach adult morphology by the second/third leaf. I'm essentially skipping juvenile form entirely.
I am realizing i am a philodendron fan once i realized how many i have. I recently got a few babies and wonder if you have a video on care for baby philodendrons, like tiny.. in 1 or 2in pots.
Those lil ones scare me…afraid I overwater.

Repotted! Hahaha…first I’m old and I thought who do u report it to and why? Then I reread it faster…I know my phone changes my words to👍🏻✌️

Hi Ashley, After a long break. Glad to see you.

What is the name of the plant with the huge dark green leaves right in the forefront of the video??
Mine has got to big I was wondering if I can cut it back hard or best to propagate from it and try find a new home for it
What? Wow I can’t imagine getting rid of my plants..want to sell some?
How do U properly prune a large leaf Philodendren
Is a fogged up skylight good enough for the light requirement?
Depends on the size of the skylight. Opaque works well
I have a philodendron tortum and was wondering if it’s a climber or stationary like a birkin
It is actually a climber!
Hi. How many hours do you keep the grow light on your philodendron wyser? Don’t know how to spell Thank you.
I turn it on when I wake up and turn it off when it’s getting dark.
My philodendron plant has drops of water on the leaves since I moved it indoors, why?
Its either condensation droplets if your humidity is high or it could be guttation if it appears morning and night, or sap in which case you can check it for pests. Theres vids about the differentiation :)
