My first calladium went into winter dormancy even here in Hawaii! I left the bulbs in dirt. One survived. Now it is a beautiful, healthy plant. I bought 3 new varieties this year. Love them now! 💕 Take care!
Highly recommend a chocolate Ag! You don’t see them often. Mine rewards me w new leaves all year round, beautiful coloring, no pests, chill, I let it dry out completely. if it dries out too much it droops but bounces back! I’ve had it in all kinds of soil. All kinds of light. No fuss! He hangs w my snake plants bc they never ask for anything! Such an easy beautiful plant. 🤎❤️💚
I love the jade scindapsis you got and want one myself. My exotica has been super easy and looks so beautiful with all the new growth so far this year. But…I would have gotten the chocolate aglionema. What a gorgeous plant!
Awesome find! I would pick up the Philodendron Brandtianum for me 😃 I do have 4 cuttings that I just bought from FB marketplace and excited for it to grow ☺️ have a blessed day!
Oh, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, 25 miles south of San Francisco, and our trader joe's home depots have an unfortunate selection of plants. You are very fortunate! Thanks for a great video.
Great plant shop, great buy today!! I really like your plant room with the white shelves that way, lovely clean look, and so much space for the plants 💚🌵🪴🌱
My daughters and I went back to Jernigans at the State Farmers Market. We got a Prince of Orange, Philodendron Xanadu, a Syngonium Mojito, and a couple of cool succulents. My oldest is really enjoying “picking” at the market.
I would definitely have gotten that Jade Satin Scindapsus as well (even though I have a few already 🤦🏻♀️)! With mine, I have to be really careful about how much light they get. They do not like a ton of light and they lose that beautiful dark green color if they get too much.
Ooh I would have definitely got that Chocolate Aglaonema. That’s on my wishlist. I might have to drive down to Charlotte. I wished they delivered. Great plants.💚🪴
Kalanchoe Tomentosa is aka panda plant. It comes in a few different varieties, another is called chocolate soldiers but it’s just a browner version of the same plant basically Tomentosa and setosa mean “hairy”
all of your videos are amazing. I like to watch you get excited about all the different plants. that unicorn cactus grabbed my eye. that's what I would have taken home. and I'm like you, grow would probably get my paycheck.
Just wanna say, I got one of DG's $1 flower print gardening gloves and they were not sturdy at all, they started unraveling during the first use. My advice is to save your dollar lol
Hi Ashley! Since you have been buying lots of new houseplants, I would like to see your new update houseplants tour please, If you don’t mind. It would be an inspiration for all of us. Thanks 😊
I can recommend the brandtianum. When I got it - it was an extra choice since Inwas buying some other plants but it quickly became a fave. The leaves are so pretty and it’s easy care + it’s brown enough in a year to fill out a circle trellis. I can also recommend the chocolate aglaonema! Aglaonema do well in mid light and mine has done so well. It’s been so easy and also brown so much. It never went dormant but slow grow in winter. The leaves deepen as they mature and it’s just a great one 👍🏼 So glad you went to TJ & dollar general. I have them somewhat close by but in high traffic areas I usually try to avoid. Especially TJ as they are the only one around for over 20+ miles so certain items they carry always sell out. Hmmm very interesting on the thyroid test. I’ve been thinking about doing but through doc is is super expensive. Great job on this video! Lots of great content. Could anybody talk about Hoya? I hav et gone down that rabbit hole. I have one and it’s fine but why does everyone love them so much? And so they ever actually bloom?
I just have a tiny one too! It seems pretty slow when it is young...great find and beautiful white hanging basket too! I love the caladeum! The white one I would have picked too! So happy for you!
Hey Anita, I had success with caladiums without noticing it. I left bulb by accident in my Aglaonema's pot and this springall of a sudden the aldium appeared there
Oh that Lynette would have had to have come home with me, its a wishlist plant that I have not seen here in the UK yet and is such a cool philodendron! I would have snapped up the chocolate aglaonema too, so stunning!! Never seen one of those before!
Thanks Ashley for another fantastic plant content video I really do enjoy them. If i was shopping i would have filled my cart with Hoyas especially linearis and macrafilla.
Crazy story: I had one of those glass watering bulbs explode! Luckily no one was in the room when it happened but it blew glass and water clear across the room! Needless to say I won’t use them anymore.
Hi Ashey 👋 my rubber tree plant I got it at Walmart 798 and it's already getting big but mine did not have a pot so that's not a bad price $10😁😍🥰🤩👍👍🤟🤟 Trader Joe's has some really good plants
Very interesting prices at grow almost opposite here in the Utah plant community (not nursery) That linearis goes for $80ish and the perus of that size would go for $25. I sold a siltepecana for $20 hahaha
Great video! I definitely want to visit grow. They have some great plants!! Iam a sucker for that cebu blue and that huge Peru and like all of those philodendron lol
This was a wonderful video, I love Trader Joe's but the nearest one to me is 3 hours away in Utah and I live in Idaho. but they always have the most wonderful plants at very reasonable prices. I love the Jade Scindapsis and would love a big one like that someday, I love that chocolate agleonema and would have gotten that one. I have a Hoya curtsii that I got at Home depot and it is a hanging one and is in an 8 inch pot and it's huge and I love it. I also loved the things you showed us at Dollar General, so many great pots and plant things, I love a good plant pot and accessories. Thanks for a wonderful video, I really need to go to Trader Joe's and Utah also has a Dollar General but we don't have any in Idaho. I hope that you have a great week, take care sending love and hugs, bye for now. 😊💜🪴
Those glazed ceramic planters with the dip pattern are similar to the black and white one that’s at Walmart. I’d love to get them because their design is the same, just in different colors, but my Dollar General doesn’t have them and I can’t find them online. :(
Did you ever find out what type of fern was in this episode $1-$7 Plants! Big Box Plant Shopping - Lowe's, Home Depot, & Walmart Plants - Plant Shop With Me It was in a hanging planter I think from living trends and the leaves were grey green with birds nest type looking leaves ?. Thanks!
Nice choices!! I’m heading to Charlotte this week (IKEA run!🙌🏻)- can you recommend a good shop to stop at that may be easy to get to from the IKEA area? I don’t know Charlotte at all, and you seem to know the gems!❤️
Nice plants but it gets very expensive and a pain when u r plants t being attacked by every disease and bug known to plant kind!! 🤣!! Apparently there’s a sign on my place I’m not aware of that says free lodging with baby seedlings 🌱
Def would have got either the large Hoya linearis (spelling?) that was around $38 I think OR the jade scindapsus. I just got a cutting of one, but I dream of a big one like you just got. It’s lovely!
Just put your caladiums in a tall, wide, maybe round or square glass container (Goodwill). That way they will be supported and not falling over. Just be careful to not over water it because there won't be any drainage. It looks gorgeous like this!
I plant shop vicariously through this channel 😂♥️
Next month Dollar General will have all its garden stuff 50% off. Hope this info helps someone. ✌️✌️
Oooooooooo!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes! TY
No way I’d leave without a couple Aglaonema chocolate. Been looking for one a long time now.
My first calladium went into winter dormancy even here in Hawaii! I left the bulbs in dirt. One survived. Now it is a beautiful, healthy plant. I bought 3 new varieties this year. Love them now! 💕 Take care!

I'm enjoying my caladiums as well! Your videos always make my heart happy! Thank you for the tours!
OMG that jade scindapsus is TDF. I love that plant so much. I have one, then one I propagated, but if I saw that big one, I would probably buy it too!
i have had a jade satin scindapsus on my wishlist since i started collecting plants 😩 so so pretty

I have a jade satin! Such an easy beautiful plant. I like how sturdy the leaves are. 😊
Thanks Jen!
I will buy that Jade Satin too! So beautiful 😍
I find scindapsus in general to be very particular about watering and can be susceptible to root rot. However my jade satin has been a breeze!
Hi Ashey 👋 my rubber tree plant I got it at Walmart 798 and it's already getting big but mine did not have a pot so that's not a bad price $10😁😍🥰🤩👍👍🤟🤟 Trader Joe's has some really good plants
These are my favourite videos! Love watching you, all the way from Australia! xx

Man I would love that adansonii. I’m trying grow mine just like that. Great video as usual
Me too without much success. Super slow & small leaves.
Those glazed ceramic planters with the dip pattern are similar to the black and white one that’s at Walmart. I’d love to get them because their design is the same, just in different colors, but my Dollar General doesn’t have them and I can’t find them online. :(
Beautiful flowers
I have a beautiful Scindapsus Jade and love it.

Love your plant choices. I never think to check out what Dollar General has to offer. I think may have to now.

I would have chosen the silver sword for $16. Haven't seen it for that price yet in my area.
Driving past the southern end of Charlotte next weekend on the way to GA via highway 485. Any good plant shops to stop into?
Nice choices!! I’m heading to Charlotte this week (IKEA run!🙌🏻)- can you recommend a good shop to stop at that may be easy to get to from the IKEA area? I don’t know Charlotte at all, and you seem to know the gems!❤️

Hahahaha
Just put your caladiums in a tall, wide, maybe round or square glass container (Goodwill). That way they will be supported and not falling over. Just be careful to not over water it because there won't be any drainage. It looks gorgeous like this!
You should grow your little scindapsus up a plank and see if it shingles!
