I hung a soltech solutions aspect light from my ceiling in a dark corner of my room and it completely transformed it, highly recommend! It's so helpful that it is strong enough to cover the whole area without taking up floor or shelving space. Mine is the exclusive light source for over 40 of my plants and they're all very happy!

i feel like the winter blues always begin to really set in this time of year and make doing a lot of things hard and easy to continue to put off. it always feels good to begin to accomplish those things! i started doing the same today actually. i also recommend looking into a shark vacuum. absolutely love mine and it keeps up with my malamute shedding all the time and all my planty messes :)
It's always good to know that other people are the same way! I have a mess and it just mentally overwhelmed me to the point where I just cannot. Everyone says not to water as much in the winter because of less sunlight, but what they don't factor in is how much turning on the heat dries out your plants!! So your plants are doing what is called firing leaves, it's a drought response. You'll know if it's firing leaves if it's the oldest leaf that's turning yellow. The plant tells that leaf that it's dead and sucks the nutrients back in acting as a water bottle to endure the perceived drought period. Whatever you do, do not cut the yellowing leaf off or remove until it's mummy crispy! Otherwise the plant says oh no, my water bottle, then tells the next leaf you're dead! Water your plants more often, and I promise your plants will stop firing leaves :)

Everyone has that one room, yeah that room. That what looks good one one specific angle but in reality is a complete disaster. Hang in there! Not everything has to be perfect, we’re only humans after all. This gave me the right amount of motivation to tackle my mess of a plant room/kitchen 😂

I had a Dyson. I absolutely HATED it. The only plus side was it was cordless. I bought a bissel at Walmart on sale for $80 and it is the best vacuum I have ever had.

Do you have white carpet? That’s brave my friend. Brave. And LOVE the pup. What a little sweetie pie! As far as Dyson…don’t love my fancy Dyson. It’s just…meh….it doesn’t seem to have the suction my regular vaccine had, it doesn’t pick up bigger debris (like dead leaves and bark bits) very well.
I probably have the original Dyson canister model vacuum and just LOVE it. Totally recommend. I certainly have got my monies worth. My friend swears by the Shark vacuum. She feels it’s better than the Dyson 🤷♀️

Stake your Standleyana and it will take off! Please, don’t get a Dyson, Shark is better. Dyson doesn’t have great suction, especially on carpet without using the dtrong suction. Then it gets hot on your hand and the battery dies.

I 2nd the Shark vaccum. I have no complaints with mine. It works great and is alot more reasonably priced than a Dyson.
