Just a small correction, the monument on Kalemegdan fortress is called "The Victor" and it symbolises victory in WW1, not the Balkan wars. His hand is pointing towards Vienna, for obvious reasons.
Thank you so much for the hospitality! Yes we will! In fact, we met a Serbian woman that night in Belgrade, who lived her whole life in Germany, but now in Retirement she moved back, cause she liked it more. We can totally understand!
@@MaddyandSascha I see, that's awesome. I have to thank you for visiting and giving a chance to our beautiful Serbia. Serbia is truly a hidden gem of Europe. Stay healthy and have a lovely day
That church is so beautiful!!!! There was a wedding happening when we were there so we didn’t get to see it in real life. Thanks for sharing it with us!
People usually when they come here are like "Oh in the media we heard such horrible things about Serbia, you are nothing at all like they said you are" Yeah cuss we are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people in Europe, not just us all the people in the Balkans are like that.
Sounds like it’s super hot 🥵 haha “never happy about shady places”… it’s true even when seeking shade. Awwww the puppy and the giggles are the best! Love it! We are tree 🌳 huggers too. Haha magical 🧙 The Serbian beer 🍻 looks like quite the experience… always helps the food taste better 😂
Interesting wander through the fortress with you. I am sure that it is an interesting place to visit. When we first passed this way, in 1974, we only made a short stop and took a look at the fortress but were not impressed with the city. We did not pause here on subsequent visits. I am sure things have changed over the decades and it is great to see what the city looks like now. That pizza looked good.
The is quite a bit to see in the city! We wanted to go to the Tesla Museum, but didn’t make it this time. If you’re ever there again, let us know what you think. ☺️
Love your honesty 😂 crazy how UA-cam recommendations work right? Btw we are in Jacksonville again in 2 weeks, can we have a car? We promise we are not going on sandy beaches anymore 😂😂😂👍
@@MaddyandSascha we don’t need so many tourists, like mass tourism, who wants poor tourists to stay in hostels, eat slice of pizza and just wounded around 😊 we are ok like this
@@MaddyandSascha I would not say hidden, more as unfamiliar to other people and countries, which is ok , we know what happens when you have many tourists like in Italy, Italian people can’t live normal in their cities from all those people that come to visit their country. Anyway people that know about our country and want to come to visit they will. If you like it here you are welcome to enjoy if not there is soo many other countries that you can always go
Your Bosnian friend in US, Esmir, is muslim, at least by tradition, so his version of ćevapi is with lamb and/or beef while Serbian version is with pork. It makes a difference in taste but both are very good. Of course, like everything else in Balkans, it is a subject of never ending dispute who's are better.

Drago mi je da ste vi uživali u Beogradu, Srbije! 🇷🇸
We’ve had a great time thanks for asking! Hvala Puno

Oh wow, we would’ve love to see that! Once we’ve seen one in a small town in Tuscany, that was lovely 🥰

Interestingly enough, I have watched this episode to the end. I usually don't do that. And there I was at the end.

@@MaddyandSascha where are you from guys? You boyfriend looks like Spanish?
I think kalemegdan is open all the time they dont close u cant close a park
Maybe in Serbia they don’t, but other countries definitely close parks, which seems crazy 😛
@@MaddyandSascha well that is stupid 😂
We too think parks should always be open, but a lot of people seem to think differently 😅
I guess we could’ve started our travel back in 2021 in Serbia as well. Mexico was fine though, when it came to covid
