Finally, someone doing survivor besides eye of the tiger. Jimi was a criminally underrated singer. Only one that compares to him would be Steve Perry. Such a mega loss when he passed. R.I.P Jimi!!
Yea, must do Desperate dreams. Truthfully there is no bad song when Jimi was on vocals, and not trying to take away anything from Dave Bickler. Jimi had that rare. melodic voice that was kind of haunting at times.
This is my FAVORITE Survivor song. The entire Vital Signs album is amazing. I could put this one album on repeat and for days and not get tired of it. Jimi had it all-looks, sweet Southern charm, and PIPES to match. I think he is one of my top 10 favorite voices of the 80s. Gone way too soon. He was still going strong without losing much up until his untimely death. I don’t think he was an addict. I read that it could have been diet pills that may have interacted with an already compromised heart condition. When I first saw this concert online I was convinced it was lip syncing! It’s so spot on with the album. I love Steve Perry, but I ADORE Jimi Jamison. It’s nice to be able to understand lyrics as they are sung because the singer is crisp and enunciates and still able to hold a note. Jimi had that talent.
Read this very carefully. And accept this truth: Jimi Jamison is the single most overlooked singer in rock history. He had just as much, if not more, power than the mighty Steve Perry, and others. Jimi, though, could do it all. Falsetto, grit, brassy, subtle. MONSTER. If you are offended because Ken said it sounds like Perry.... I think he's better. On MANY different levels. They pigeonholed this band as an 80's soundtrack band, but Jimi, Jim Peterik, and Frankie Sullivan are all MONSTERS. ABSOLUTE MONSTERS. And Ken, his voice isn't softer, its in control and placed exactly where he wanted it. Listen to the album Too Hot To Sleep. POWER. GRITTY, BALLS-OUT power. You are right that he had great tone. And great versatility. And range. And melodic sense.
Jimi is a powerhouse on Too Hot to Sleep. No frills hard rock album that arrived during the glam rock era, and did not fit in, did not chart well. After that album Jimi was offered the lead singer spot in Deep Purple but his management didn’t let him do it. However, Ron Nevison should take some credit in coaching Jimi how to sing his best.
Spot on Davey , Jimi had an amazing voice and singing ability. The band really adapted well after he replaced Bickler. My favorite song is “ Didn’t Know it was Love “ I listen to it everyday!!

Thank you for making this video. Jimi Jamison in my opinion is one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. He could sing like this all the way up until his untimely death.
His name was Jimi, not Jamie. He does have a son named Jamie. Please don’t say that we lost him to drugs. That was the sensationalistic news headline. He had a serious heart condition and that’s what ultimately took my friend away. He was certainly not a junkie. He was a phenomenal talent, and a kind and generous man who always had time for his fans, always found time to help charities (especially St. Jude hospital in his hometown of Memphis) and loved his kids above all else. Thank you for doing this, and appreciating both Jimi’s voice and Jim Peterik’s song. I was in one of the recording sessions for Jimi’s “Crossroads Moment” album. Imagine hearing **that voice** four feet from you, no microphones or speakers. I still get chills after all these years. We lost him in 2014, and it still hurts.
Hey Paul, with all due respect, while he did have cardiovascular disease, the autopsy concluded that Jimi died of a hemorrhagic brain stroke, with "acute methamphetamine intoxication contributing." I think it is important to be honest about it, and as a fan I'd like to think he would want it that way as a deterrent to others. Not saying he was a junkie, just a human being with faults like all of us, who accomplished a lot in his lifetime and left us with some wonderful music.
@@pbraun2102 Man Against the World is kind of the lonely guy's anthem. Should have been a hit. The vibrato in Jimi's voice, combined with that layer of grit is money ! Equivalent to Steve Perry's special resonate+smokey blend. Unique singers in their own ways who elevate songs.
Ken, you have every right to be as nostalgic as you want. I’m going to be 52 years old in July and I’ve been singing for 45 years. That era from the early 1980s to me was the best music period everfor melodic rock. The music of my youth. Jimi Jamison is simply one of the best ever. You said it so eloquently. Perfect pitch, A wonderful range, and beautiful beautiful vocal tones. He was also an absolutely phenomenal showman, and one of the kindest most down to earth guys you would ever want to meet in the music business. It still breaks my heart that he is no longer physically here. Thank you so much for giving him the credit that he’s so well deserves as an amazing vocalist and performer. Please take a moment and watch this version of I can’t hold back from 1996 with Jimi’s solo band. These guys were all from Memphis Tennessee and we’re all really good studio musicians. I think you may really enjoy this because they rock the song out a little bit harder. Let me know what you think. ua-cam.com/video/3xoMS3Q0aLg/v-deo.html
The song "High On You" always held a little bit of irony for me after Jimi died from being high on too much other stuff, but I still trot it out for karaoke.
@@kentamplin I "rediscovered" Survivor when I was rearranging my LP's and came across "Vital Signs".So many awesome songs by these guys!!! Jim Peterick is an awesome song writer (he was founder of Ides of March...is an excellent singer, guitarist and pianist in his own right!!) He wrote many songs with Frankie Sullivan.Jimi Jamison had the voice of an angel!!Just as spot on as Steve Perry. Love many of their hits: Man Against The World, I See You In Everyone, It's the Singer,Not The Song, many others. I believe the bassist Stephen Ellis and the drummer Marc Broubry(sp?) have also passed away. Wonderful artists!!! 🙏💔😿💙🙋
Finally some attention to Survivor! One of my all time favorite bands. "It's the singer..." but the songs are equally important imo. Survivor's songs were always fantastic. TIP: check out Pride of Lions, Jim Peterik's (Survivor keyboard player) current band -- good one for a REACTION!!!
Probably one of the finest AOR songs ever crafted from beginning to end that wasn’t performed by Foreigner or Journey. Really a shame that out of all your subscribers, only a handful are aware of how many terrific songs the band had back in the 80s. While a totally faceless band, they have the rare distinction of having two of the finest vocalists melodic rock has ever heard in Bickler and Jamison. A wonderful band with some brilliantly crafted songs from Peterik/Sullivan. Thank you for giving them some attention!
Love Jimi Jamison and Survivor.. Listen/watch their 1985 Japan tour live..I'm not That Man Anymore, I See You in Everyone.. Video. Didn't Know It Was Love.. Só many great songs and his vocals are amazing. .Poor management company.. Watch his videos everyday.. such a great voice.. delivery.. And so very easy on the eyes.
I am 51 y.o. guy from Athens Greece. Eye of the tiger was my first record i ever bought as a 11-12 y.o. boy. Since then Survivor music just became my life's soundtrack. Every moment, every period in my life is marked or curved with one or more songs of my favorite band. I can still remember the days that a new release was on disc stores. Great times. Great band. Thanks for the review.
Survivor's Vital Signs is one of my favorite albums of all time. Great singing and such unique guitar parts. I love the song "Popular Girl" and "It's the Singer, Not the Song". Awesome selection, Ken!
Jimi was amazing, people should know more Survivor, they have so many great songs. I'm glad to see you reacting to him. Still holding hope for INXS reaction.
Saw Bryan Adams in May of 1985 at the Omni in Atlanta, and Survivor opened for him. Talk about a great night of music! Jimi had a phenomenal voice and Survivor was all over Mtv and the radio that year. Good times. 🙂
They were great in concert. I thought they were not given the full recognition that they deserved. It's been a long time since I have listened to Survivor's music. I also had no idea that Jamie Jamison had passed, 5 yrs. ago. What a voice and what a loss. Great choice again Ken. Thank you
Jimi had an unbelievable voice. That show from.Japan is classic and he sings absolutely perfect pitch & range. I regret not ever seeing them live but I never expected Jimi to be gone so soon🙏🎤 Ken check out Jimi's last few solo albums- outstanding as well !!
I came across this video of course being a Survivor Fan. Jimi has always fascinated me with his amazing vocals! Simple, yet precise, the way he sounded live exactly....EXACTLY...like he did on the record, cassette tape, which ever you listened to back then. Just a "Country Boy" from Tennessee. That was what I admired about Jimi, the way he stayed humble, interacted with his fans. Just an all around great guy! Btw I enjoyed listening to you sing with Jimi 💎🌠 If any of your subscribers have never listened to Survivor, well....other than "Eye Of The Tiger" I hope they do, they won't regret it. Just like Journey, very unique in their own right! 💖💖
Thanks for showing Survivor some love. I like Dave Bickler, but I love Survivors albums with Jimi on lead. I’m 27, so I never had a chance to see them, but they are my favorite 80s rock band.
His voice is truly one of the best. Especially for the 1980s. It brings chills when you hear a singer use so much emotion to his or her voice. Lyrics play a huge part too. When you have an average song and have a singer like Jimi singing it you have a great song! It was very sad that he passed away. If I could sing like him just for my own entertainment I would be forever happy. No one would even have to hear it but me. Unfortunately I do not have that range with so much power in the voice. When I read when people ask the question, who do you think is the greatest singer of these four people and give a list of such great vocalists it really upsets me because you cannot choose and that’s when you know you love music. To be honest even though he originally never sang The Eye of the Tiger I thought for sure it was Steve Perry and Journey. I even remember exactly where I was when I heard that song for the first time. I was fishing for catfish and it came over the radio around 2 AM. It was in the summer and there was a light fog. I was in a band then and our bass player was with me. I remember both of us stop talking because the voice just rang out perfectly. Later on I heard Jimi sing the song and it was equally as great if not better. OK I am rambling on but I too get very nostalgic when I hear great bands with great singers. I truly miss those days and sadly I know they will never come back.
One thing that gets overlooked is as great as he is ! He did concerts until he passed . I believe his last concert was 2 or 3 days before he passed away ! I believe he was arguably the best singer of his time ! I also gathered he was a humble down to earth guy . He made time for his fans . Being accessible to your fans is becoming more of a rarity these days ! What artists don't understand is if they don't have a fanbase they aren't relevant .
I use to do janitor work in our local high school at night when I was buffing floors I would put this album on the P.A system and it would play in every room and hallway it was awesome :-)
Hi Ken...just subscribed. I am 57 and was always familiar with Survivor but not Jimi Jamison. I was very familiar with Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury. But wow...Jimi is my personal favorite. I am learning more about him. Never saw these bands in the 80's....wish I had. Jimi should have received a lot more recognition. Your singing does not bother me whatsoever during videos. You seem like a really cool and talented dude.
Ken, Totally agree he had an awesome voice, great ballad singer and Survivor had really nice melodies in their tunes. I still have them in my 80's playlist from a streaming service I will not mention here. BTW-get reading glasses-we call them cheaters-not so bad-I did few years back. Only hurts for a second and once you do you will leave pairs everywhere. Love your channel-Thx
I love Jimi's voice....I can listen to Jimi all day everyday. Such a shame he's passed..I can only imagine the music he would have put out if he were still alive...Survivor is awesome.. He makes me wanna sing too😊
The incredible sound of the '80s. The variety, the contagious spirit of music that was well written, fantastically played, and phenomenally sung. What a great band, song, album, and era.
Dont apologize for comparing Jimi to Steve Perry ....... your right ! . I was in Panama City Beach Florida in 1994 and had the pleasure of seeing these guys live on a $5.00 pre tour show (basically a warm up tour to get into shape the up comming tour ).It was on a Sunday evening on the Spinnaker Beach Club stage . I must have accidentally gotten right in front of the band during this song . Any ways , Jimi extended the mic to me and I shared the heart of the song with him . Just a really talented and gracious guy !.
A friend of mine seen Jamie a few times and said He sounded like the record every time he heard him . Perfect pitch 💥💥💥 and Ken you keep singing whenever you want !
Thank you for this. JIMI May have been undeservedly underrated but he was AMAZING, his Heart as Golden as his VOICE and he will never be forgotten. Forever and Always his voice will live♥️✨♥️
Nothing wrong with nostalgia (aka memories) brother ...without it (them) we have nothing to remind us of our existence or of the time from where we came. Rock on!
Love it when you sing, Ken! Thx for sharing this! In my opinion, Jimi was one of the BEST vocalists of all time. He'll live on through his music forever. ⛅🎶🎤^j^🎶⛅
I always thought Jimi’s voice was somewhat similar to Steve’s as well. Amazing tone, “spot on” pitch, beautiful tremolo.. so clear and crisp. Love the feeling he exudes when he performs too. RIP Jimi.
I think Jimi Jamison was forgotten very quickly, his voice was wonderful and very pleasant to listen to, I agree with Mr. Tamplin, live is like listening to the record, perfect!
Awesome!! Love your comments "Cause I can" "and love to sing". I learned so much from your reacts along with how you've gained your vocal influence. 💙 Rock on🤙🤙
KEN TAMPLIN, JJ was truly respected in the music industry. Not only did he have one of the greatest voices that could wipe the floor with some today, but was known to be a kind and generous man who took the time to help others with music. God bless him.
Thanks for paying homage to Jimi Ken, another huge influence. Check out the vocal on the album cut called Everlasting. Such a beautiful tune. Also check out his pre-Survivor work with Cobra.
I have to admit I love this song, and I especially looooove High On You (I’m a sucker for 80s music, cheesy tho it might be to some). But in terms of singers that give me a great warmup workout just singing along to, there are very few singers who fit that bill for me, especially in my tenor/baritone range: Ann Wilson of Heart, Pat Benatar, and Linda Ronstadt. I’ve not found too many tenor/baritone singers I can sing along to and feel very warmed up by the time I need to sing, but maybe I’m not looking in the right places.
One of my favorite bands survivor. I own all their albums and i can't help but bust into song when i hear them too ken😀great video as always and i agree he is Steve perry perfect with his pitch. Way under rated Great great band!
One of the great singers..chills when he goes into that "I can feel you tremble when we touch.."! Good to see you enjoy yourself Ken. Thanks for sharing as always. Blessings
Jimi's most impressive vocal performance for me was "In Good Faith." from his 'When Seconds Count' album. Something about In Good Faith makes me feel warm all over like a kid on Christmas morning.
Survivor was awesome back in the day. Being from Central Illinois; they were from Chicago, Survivor was huge when I was growing up. I remember they were always on the radio on all of the Peoria rock stations! AND.. Frankie Sullivan great guitar riffs... and Jim Peterik's GREAT song writing!
I love that you recognize that Jimi's ability to give "the album" to fans with just the slightest of variation. Far too few people focus on the ability of the artist to do this. Something that I thought of in one of your other videos was the seminole moment for BOSTON. The gent that eventually signed them had only one condition after hearing their sample tracks: "I want to see them duplicate this live" - and the rest is history. I'm also onboard with Survivors instant ability to make you want to sing. The "groove" and the visions conjured by the lyrics easily crafted many a piece of persona throughout the Survivor run. By the way - feel free to sing durng the reaction - it IS a piece of your reaction, especially when Jimi and Survivor are evoked! Last thing - the interviews with Jimi on UA-cam: Few will know the "twang" and the accidental brushing with Elvis. It's illuminating and a great reminder that one cannot judge a book by the cover. Thanks for your insight!
@2GuysTalking Podcast Network : Agree, I was very surprised (in a good way) when I heard Jimi's soft Southern voice in some interviews here. He sounded just like any other Memphis (or southern) guy; I mean, just normal. If I hadn't heard him sing before, I would *never* have guessed it was the same guy who did those awesome soaring vocals! I'm kind of a "new" fan of Survivor -- while I do remember hearing some of their better-known songs on the radio in the '80s, I just never paid enough attention, I guess, plus I had kind of a sheltered adolescence, no MTV, church advising against "rock music", you get the picture. But during the pandemic, about a year into it, I was looking here on YT to re-live some '80s music -- not looking specifically for Survivor either --- I remembered "High on You", because it had a lot of that '80s synth sound that I missed so much. Found the video, & wondered, who's that guy singing it? I did not know any of the band members' names, or who was who, nothing. Just in the last year or so, I feel like Survivor is this beautiful hidden gem, have heard a lot of their lesser-known songs, even read Jim Peterik's bio, "Through the Eye of the Tiger". All that to say, I was blown away, & I agree with so many others that this band, & Jimi, were so underrated. Just lifts my spirits to listen to them; the only downside has been finding out that some of them have passed away, so it's a little bittersweet.
I didn’t know about this era of Survivor or about Jamie Jamison, what a fantastic singer and great band, the backing vocals were immaculate as well, thanks for the introduction KT!
I am pretty certain that you have seen this, but if not..."Jami Jamison Live at Firefest 2012" is incredible, this man......almost 30 years past their amazing album "Vital Signs," is still kicking ass and completely on pitch...RIP!!!! God Bless, it is hard to find someone like Jimi who makes singing anything sound so easy....
That's the one thing I love about the 80's rock scene. You had a ton of great voices on the landscape at that point in time. Like Jamison and the also mentioned Steve Perry. You also had Kevin Cronin(REO Speedwagon) , Dennis DeYoung(Styx), Jon Waite( The Baby's, Bad English) the list goes on and on. That's why I would go back to that time only if I didn't have to go through high school again, of course.
I was 10 in 1985. This song brings up emotions that I will always celebrate, and I'm right there singing along with you excitedly. It's one of the greatest feelings I have. I celebrate it. Loudly. Off-key and all. Know no shame. Thank's for bringing back great music. RIP Jimi.
Yes Ken...I was front row center for this tour and it did sound just like the record! Survivor was an excellent live band and I was glad I saw them in their prime. I also saw them with the original singer in 1982.
KT ...I was the European Prez of Journey's FORCE fan club whilst stationed in the Army in Germany 79-81. This singer has Perry chops. I appreciate vocalists & musicians in their own right. Thank you for sharing this SPOT ON ... FLAWLESS vid!
Jimi, Steve Perry, and Freddie Mercury. 3 untouchable singers. Jimi deserves more respect, recognition.
Thanks, Gokhan!

Not saying he was a junkie, just a human being with faults like all of us, who accomplished a lot in his lifetime and left us with some wonderful music.
Paul ❤❤❤❤❤
👍😀
Their song High On You is awesome, too. Lots of instrumental emotion on that one.
A really great band that deserves to be revisited. Have a, "Survivor" jam session this weekend! Throw in a little "Rocky" while you're at it...
The song "High On You" always held a little bit of irony for me after Jimi died from being high on too much other stuff, but I still trot it out for karaoke.
Oh I've been wainting for Mr. Jamison here for a long time. Very underrated singer and underrated band.
Right? There were so many really great bands of that era. We were spoiled.
Just as close as you can be from perfection. "Man Against the World" is another awesome song, it should've been on the Rocky IV movie too
Isn't it wonderful? Bring back real music!
@@kentamplin I "rediscovered" Survivor when I was rearranging my LP's and came across "Vital Signs".So many awesome songs by these guys!!!
Jim Peterick is an awesome song writer (he was founder of Ides of March...is an excellent singer, guitarist and pianist in his own right!!)
He wrote many songs with Frankie Sullivan.Jimi Jamison had the voice of an angel!!Just as spot on as Steve Perry.
Love many of their hits:
Man Against The World,
I See You In Everyone,
It's the Singer,Not The Song,
many others.
I believe the bassist Stephen Ellis and the drummer Marc Broubry(sp?) have also passed away.
Wonderful artists!!!
🙏💔😿💙🙋
@@jeanettedarrin6743 The bass player did (in 2019 I believe) but the drummer Marc is still playing with the current arrangement of Survivor
ooo GamerX ooo Marc left the band.
I was floored the first time I heard that song !
I listened to it 4 times in a row with stunned disbelief at how good it actually is .
"Survivor" one of the greatest bands in my eyes. "Jimi" beautiful voice thank you for the memories brother. Rest and eternal peace 🙏✝️♥️.
Jimi’s voice in the search is over is one of the best I’ve ever heard. It’s one of my wish voices.
Thanks for the visit, rock on! 😀
Really great band. Super talented.
Thank you, 😊.
Survivor did not have a good publicist for sure. What a shame, cause they could have kept going throughout the 1990s with better exposure.
You're right Ken, Survivor was a great band. Had all their cassettes.
I'm glad you agree, Stoney Burke!
Survivor's Vital Signs is one of my favorite albums of all time. Great singing and such unique guitar parts. I love the song "Popular Girl" and "It's the Singer, Not the Song". Awesome selection, Ken!
I am down the I Can'Hold Back rabbit hole and enjoying every second. It is one of my favorite videos of all time.
I am also a singer. I used to sing in a cover band in the 90s. Great videos. Keep them coming.
Good times. 🙂
Awesome!
They were great in concert. I thought they were not given the full recognition that they deserved. It's been a long time since I have listened to Survivor's music. I also had no idea that Jamie Jamison had passed, 5 yrs. ago. What a voice and what a loss. Great choice again Ken. Thank you
I miss Jim so much, his heart was his voice 💔
JIMI Jamison!!! good analysis excellent song and Jimis voice- what a gift. Exquisite
Rock on!
Jimi was one of my favorite singers from the 80’s. I loved Survivor. What a great band. Thanks for this, Ken.
Great band!
Thanks, Tbug. Rock on!
"Beautiful " - may he rest in peace.. Amen 💜
kelly higgins ❤️
One thing that gets overlooked is as great as he is !
He did concerts until he passed .
I believe his last concert was 2 or 3 days before he passed away !
I believe he was arguably the best singer of his time !
I also gathered he was a humble down to earth guy .
He made time for his fans .
Being accessible to your fans is becoming more of a rarity these days !
What artists don't understand is if they don't have a fanbase they aren't relevant .
You're absolutely right!!
He posted on Facebook the day he died, September 1st.

Jamie is a legend in Memphis. Everyone loves that guy. Good reason to. Very good singer.
Very good.
He was gorgeous RIP Jamie Great singer
Great singer.
Let's not forget the high background vocals from the guitar player spot on as well, great duo of vocals! Thanks for your job! Great video!
He makes me wanna sing too😊
YAY!!! Thank you for reviewing this one! I so
The incredible sound of the '80s.
It's so great hearing that these guys were really masters of their craft! Thanks steve.
Survivor was the first concert (I was 12 and my dad took me)
Thank you for this. JIMI May have been undeservedly underrated but he was AMAZING, his Heart as Golden as his VOICE and he will never be forgotten. Forever and Always his voice will live♥️✨♥️
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Belle!
Singing from out of this world!!!
Another one of The Great Ones!!
Jimi r.i.p.one the great. Ones wonderful voice great.person
⛅🎶🎤^j^🎶⛅
Thanks so much, michellej!
I love when Ken sings too. Very lovely! GS
I always thought Jimi’s voice was somewhat similar to Steve’s as well. Amazing tone, “spot on” pitch, beautiful tremolo.. so clear and crisp. Love the feeling he exudes when he performs too. RIP Jimi.
I'm glad we agree, MonsterMetalManiac!
Thanks Ken. Now go find those glasses of yours and put them on.. lol.
I think Jimi Jamison was forgotten very quickly, his voice was wonderful and very pleasant to listen to, I agree with Mr. Tamplin, live is like listening to the record, perfect!
Feel the hand of fate... goosebumbs everytime...
Jimi was a legend. I loved him so. Beautiful voice
A legend indeed, Natural Law Health!
My favorite singer from my favorite band of all time.
Jonathan King 👍👍👍
Awesome!! Love your comments "Cause I can" "and love to sing". I learned so much from your reacts along with how you've gained your vocal influence. 💙 Rock on🤙🤙
Thanks so much, Emmanuel! I appreciate that!
KEN TAMPLIN,
JJ was truly respected in the music industry.
Not only did he have one of the greatest voices that could wipe the floor with some today,
but was known to be a kind and generous man who took the time to help others with music.
God bless him.
Ria ❤️
Thanks for paying homage to Jimi Ken, another huge influence. Check out the vocal on the album cut called Everlasting. Such a beautiful tune. Also check out his pre-Survivor work with Cobra.
I'm glad you liked it, VIDEOHEREBOB!
Keep singing in your videos, Ken! Always loved Survivor. “High on You” is another great one with Jimi.
Jimi was fantastic. He could sing anything and make it beautiful. It’s so sad how he passed. A true legend
Indeed!
One of my favorite bands survivor. I own all their albums and i can't help but bust into song when i hear them too ken😀great video as always and i agree he is Steve perry perfect with his pitch. Way under rated Great great band!
I'm glad you agree, winchester girl!
Totally agree with you, Ken...Jimi was awesome!!!! 💗💗💗
He was. Gone too soon.
Jimi is the greatest rock vocalist of all time
👍👍👍
One of the great singers..chills when he goes into that "I can feel you tremble when we touch.."! Good to see you enjoy yourself Ken. Thanks for sharing as always. Blessings
I love Survivor just as much as Journey. thanks for sharing and providing the insight.
Jimi's most impressive vocal performance for me was "In Good Faith." from his 'When Seconds Count' album. Something about In Good Faith makes me feel warm all over like a kid on Christmas morning.
Jimi's solo stuff is great. He continued to excel with his songwriting and was very underrated.
Was going to request this from you....Jimi is one of my top 3 favorite singers ever! He’s amazing!
Thanks for watching!
@2GuysTalking Podcast Network :
Agree, I was very surprised (in a good way) when I heard Jimi's soft Southern voice in some interviews here.
Ahhh one of my favorite bands from the 80s! 💖The Search is over was another beautiful song. He was an amazing singer. 💖
I didn’t know about this era of Survivor or about Jamie Jamison, what a fantastic singer and great band, the backing vocals were immaculate as well, thanks for the introduction KT!
Always happy to introduce people to something new, geespar1!
Jimi
One of the greatest rock voices of all time.
👍
I am pretty certain that you have seen this, but if not..."Jami Jamison Live at Firefest 2012" is incredible, this man......almost 30 years past their amazing album "Vital Signs," is still kicking ass and completely on pitch...RIP!!!! God Bless, it is hard to find someone like Jimi who makes singing anything sound so easy....
Thanks for the thoughts!
Right?! Rock on!
I was 10 in 1985. This song brings up emotions that I will always celebrate, and I'm right there singing along with you excitedly. It's one of the greatest feelings I have. I celebrate it. Loudly. Off-key and all. Know no shame. Thank's for bringing back great music. RIP Jimi.
Awesome reaction video Ken !!!🤘😁👍Survivor is Awesome !!! 😁👍
what a tasteful singing for a rocker! that guy was really musically gifted! thx Ken :)
