Michael Bolton's definitely still got it!
Today's reaction is a more recent performance of Michael singing the classic "When A Man Loves A Woman".
Michael actually started off singing heavy metal and hard rock from the mid 70s through mid 80s and even opened for Ozzy Osbourne at one point when he was in a band of his called Blackjack.
He made a stylistic change with his music shortly after switching to the more pop rock ballads that he is known for. He enjoyed the height of his success during the 80s and early 90s.
Bolton has gone on to produce 8 top 10 albums selling more than 75 million records. He has won six American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards and had 2 number one singles with Billboard.
Michael's version of "When A Man Loves A Woman" reached number on the US pop and adult contemporary charts and he earned him a Grammy.

This guy is such a class act. His voice is off the charts! His Opera performances, Rock performances, sense of humor, all of it, incredible! He (like Lou Gramm) set the bar so high. Both voices are characterized by that "extra gear" of intense high notes and such challenging tessitura. At 65, he can still pump it out.

ikr! not many ppl know about his rock era or the fact he sings opera so well. he is truly versatile. I wish he wouldn't have been so boxed into pop, which was great but he can do so much more

Ken...at 3:30 you and Bolton hit the tightest harmonies! The best part is, you just jumped in to sing along with the melody and Bolton goes into his upper register to be tasty. It was flawless, borderline magical. I love these reaction videos, you notice and hear so many subtle things.... which is how I always listen to music. It's nice to see someone else who notices the little things that make songs so soulful and awesome!

Bryan Adams and Michael Bolton, two great singers with marvelous, very characteristic, original and unique voices.
Others with very unique, distinctive voices are..Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Lou Gramm, Peter Cetera, Steve Perry and of course, Chris Stapleton..plus many others. Oh, just thought of a few more, Roy Orbison, Bobby Hatfield, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, & Johnny Maestro. Even though a lot of these were old enough to be my father, I still love the singers from years ago. I would know their voices anywhere! Sorry...just had to add a few 😊

2yrs ago, MB put 3 voice lessons on UA-cam with his vocal coach he's had since the 80s. He had just returned from Italy, singing OPERA!! Talent with TRAINING = the success these guys have. I gotta get your level 1 classes/disks someday.

As a 31 year old, I can proudly say that Michael is my favourite singer, who also does my favourite song of all time. He has one of the most distinctive voices I've ever heard. Within one note, you know it's Michael. I remember requesting some MB a while back. Thanks for covering him, Ken!

Hello, Ken! I`m a subscriber. I love your talent, knowledge---and your stories! I`ve had Mixed Hearing Loss since the age of sixteen, which makes for some "unique" interpretations of lyrics on my part ( ;-) ), and also makes it problematic to listen to certain music and artist`s voices. I know that Michael Bolton is a talented and gifted artist; I`ve just had difficulty enjoying his singing---until now. What a difference a key makes! Thank you for sharing this performance!

KT, love your little side stories! I can remember hearing "Michael Bolton" first and then running across some of his metal/hard rock stuff while searching MTV for your Christian Rock/Metal videos. I think he was going by "Michael Bolitin" at that time and he sounded great doing that style too. Great stuff KT! Keep up it. God bless and rock on bro.
When I was 5 years old (1991) my sister and I attended a daycare center in Nashville. One day one of the older women working there introduced her friend to play his acoustic guitar and play us a few songs, he was in town recording some music she said. I found it a bit dull. When we got home my dad asked us what we did that day. We said "Someone came to play music. Some guy named Michael Bolton or something."
I always thought the song Georgia showed his vocal range the most. My favorite song and most of them are is Cant Get Close Enough. Dance with Me is a little different than his usual and awesome. Back on My Feet again is mentioned by most people

Since forming in 1962, now fifty seven years later they have proved through their immense body of work and countless concerts that they are indeed the worlds greatest band and performers of all time. The Stones set the bar for everyone to follow. Might I suggest reacting to another version of this song by Austin Brown of Home Free, an a cappella band. They recorded the song separately from each other because of the pandemic. It would be interesting to hear your honest evaluation of who did it better.
