Great video thank you for sharing. I’d like to share a tip with you, what I put on my box to spray paint my tumblers is a lazy Susan and this way I just spin it and not touch the cup. 😊
I've been using brite tone for my cups. It works well and the end results are great BUT it is so time consuming. I chose brite tone because I do not have a spot where I can have epoxy in my apartment. Like a very ventilated area like a garage. Brite tone is safer at home with no PPE required, but if I had the space I'd be using epoxy.
Such a thorough tutorial. Just what I was looking for to answer ?s I had or techniques from others. Do u have a chart of how much epoxy you typically do for different size cups and thicknesses?
Very detailed. Very organized. No pausing. Watching this made me feel confident that I can try my own cup. You have a new subscriber/follower. God bless.
I’m not a fan of glitter but I love, love, love how yours turned out! The whole project was beautifully made. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill.

Omg i needed this video i kept trying to figure out if I could use clear resin on a reusable Starbucks cup and I could not find an answer till this video ❤️
I'm a new bee an have watched this video step by steps! Thanks you so much! I do have a question though How long did you let it cure for before sanding?
Listen friend! I have been obsessing with your tumblers! I recently started making tumblers and it’s so much fun the possibilities are endless and i want to perfect my ombré technique this was super helpful! Thank you!
Also I just made a cup using this tutorial and I absolutely love how it turned out! 💕 Your tutorials are so easy to follow! Now I just need to hunt for more Starbucks cups.
Your video is amazing! Thank you for the step by step instructions. I’m new to the tumbler making and I am having an issue with getting the epoxy to stick to the bottom of the cup. Any suggestions how to get it to not separate? Thank you 🙏🏼
I believe you do it while the adhesive/expoxy/whatever you're using is still wet, otherwise it can take the edges of the glitter off with the decal you used to cover the logo and get wonky looking! Similar techniques are used with nail vinyls :)
Thank you 🙏🏼 so much for this video so helpful I been wanting to start doing resin cups.....how many hours after you can sand the cup? Thank you in advance 😊
@@LilyRoseCraftroom Thank you for the quick reply! I was also wondering, so after I did the spray paint sealant step it was time for the second layer of epoxy, how do you keep the Starbucks logo clean during this step, even after the sealant when I was spreading the epoxy I got glitter all over the Starbucks logo.
Hello love these. I would like to make my own for family members. Can u PLEASE tell me Where is the least expensive place to get the cups and glitter and glue and vinyl wholesale? THANK U IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!!❤️🦋
I love your channel. You have definitely helped me try this. One question for you is when you apply your last set of epoxy how long do you leave it on the cup turner?
Hi, question Isn’t the epoxy harmful because it seeps through the plastic.....???? And how do you avoid the spray paint on the rim of the cup?? Wouldn’t that also harm a person if they drink directly from the cup???
It is safe. I use alumilite epoxy, it's non toxic, No VOCs, FDA compliant. And food safe when cured. It does not "seep" through plastic. I clean the rim of the cups. Spray paint is non toxic when dry. Not harmful. I've done PLENTY of research.
LilyRoseCraftroom thank you soo much! There’s soo much information and claims out there I begin to doubt and get paranoid myself! I’ll be making my first with the help of your tutorial tonight! 💓
@@LilyRoseCraftroom I also did a plastic Starbucks cup with epoxy and got a lot of criticism for it from other cup makers because “it is toxic on plastic and you are going to poison people “ and after doing my own research I found that you are correct about it being safe after it is cured. I always wondered the same. I also wonder if they're prone to cracking because these are flexible cups. I can't find an answer tho. It's like no one really tells all the secrets.
Paperbag Panda it’s because you’re not supposed to epoxy plastic like this. Ask any epoxy company and they will advise against it. Just do some research before you try it.

I have read that epoxy eats through the plastic cup. Most recommend to use CrystalLac on this type of plastic.
No, the Epoxy does not eat or go the plastic.

I've heard horrible things about the spin it but it really seems like it's a good machine for starbucks cups because they are much lighter...

4-6 hours

I heard that epoxy goes through those cups and it not being safe. it looks nice though!
If you use food safe epoxy, which you should do anyway, it should be alright though?
@@RamoArt most epoxy is for occasional food contact not for food consistently sitting on it.
@@brianab2005 Even if it says it's safe to use with food?
It does look nice but what I'm wondering about it when the cup sweats since its not a double walled cup...its going to ruin the cup right?
You shouldn't apply epoxy on a plastic cup.
Where do you buy your tumblers from? This was such a helpful video. Thank you
Hi! I loved your method, such an easy tutorial. What size did you use to cover your Starbucks logo? Thank you! ☺️
I found another video and she used 2.171 x 2 for the circle cut out

Stunning & my favourite colours. Xx
This is the best video ever!... I love the details they are so helpful
what size did you make the mommy fuel decal? 😬
This is so pretty, but I have read and heard that epoxy is toxic I'd applied on plastic, or does it depend on the epoxy?
It depends on the epoxy. Alumilite states that theirs is FDA compliant; therefore safe to use.
I thought it had to be double walled tumblers to be safe from epoxy

Hey! This is so pretty 😍 what is the size of the vinyl you used to cover the logo ? nothing I cut out fits correctly

Quick question.
Why do you put the vinyl after epoxy?
Can you use matte instead of semi gloss I just realized I bought matte

Did you add anything to the cup before the epoxy at the beginning

Don’t use epoxy on one walled cups. Especially Starbucks cups
Alexa Samilton oh yeah, good point to bring up. I don’t epoxy these. I do stainless steel cups
Carmen Flores yes stainless steel is okay but epoxy over time eats this plastic and it will last off fumes
