Stopping the turner for a second to remove the tape would've made the cleanup a bit easier all around. Also, acetone is amazing on sloppy wet resin. Thanks for the video! they look great!

Well done! One small tip: If you wind the electrical tape the same direction as the rotisserie spins then you can just hold the end of the tape and let it spin off....
This is an excellent tutorial!!! If you don’t want to sand it down, you can use epoxy as your adhesive. That way you can skip the sanding step. However, your tumblers are gorgeous so it doesn’t matter if you use adhesive! Excellent job!!!
Nice tutorial, I use the same epoxy. I usually mix mine until its clear. I noticed yours was a little cloudy sometimes in my experience if you apply it when its still cloudy you can end up with a sticky tumbler. Mainly because it was not mixed properly. Just a tip just in case anyone tries it and have that problem. :)
Sonya Lynette absolutely, that brand of resin has a 30 min set time, there is no reason not to take the time to properly mix until clear. If not mixed properly, it will fail in a short amount of time with the resin getting bubbles in it etc.
I have always wondered how these are made! (definitely not how I thought hahaha!) I don't know why I didn't look them up sooner. These are so cool and I loved this video! Does this work on any stainless steel water bottle or does it have to be on a more expensive product? Thanks so much. I love your videos! :D
Thank you for this video! I appreciate the very clear directions! I had one question... about how much glitter do you need for one tumbler? I am looking at purchasing glitter on Amazon and it would help to have a measurement to look up. Again, thank you!
La Quetta Ray depends on what kind of glitter you want. Buying in bulk is always cheapest but many places are now selling different glitter mixtures and colors and most crafters that i know, myself including shop from a variety of places based on the color glitter we need. I know personally i was looking for a particular gold/yellow and looked at over ten places for just the color. I'm new to your page so just seeing this video now. My tumbler is currently its first layer of epoxy. It looks like I have areas on my tumbler that need more glitter, so I was thinking of adding a second layer of glitter. Is it too late? When do you add the second layer?
You can add more glitter, just be sure the epoxy is still tacky and then fill in any spots. You'd then apply another coat of epoxy only when that layer has cured.
Hands down the best video on how to do this! Thank you so much for your patience while teaching and thorough explanation! New sub and sending virtual hugs. You are awesome!! 🤗

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for such an insightful video! So if I wanted to skip the glitter (for the hubby's tumbler lol) and just do spray paint and vinyl, what would that process look like?
Came across your videos and love them!! My question is Do you use regular glitter or polyester glitter? I found several posts where this was mentioned and was wondering if it makes a difference?
hello, i tried to make my first tumbler yesterday but when i checked on it today 3/4 of the tumbler was stretched and wrinkly. could you possibly tell me what i did wrong?
thanks for responding!! Yes, I did the 1:1 ratio and I was able to touch it without any stickiness so that's why I thought it was fine to cure fully. and the epoxy was able to peel it right off, some spots were a little bit tricky but with the heat gun it pulled right off. I did the sanding and 91% alcohol rub, so I have no clue. I plan on trying again very soon when I have saved up to get a plugged I turner, not a battery one to leave overnight. Hi Jennifer! I'm afraid to do the sanding process thinking that it will scratch up the surface. Is this to be expected? Maybe I'm using the wrong type of sand paper
Hi Jennifer, first off, let me say that I always enjoy your videos. You go into such great detail that even a first-time crafter can follow the instructions with such ease. You always make such beautiful projects, I love them all. Being new to tumblers myself, I am surfing UA-cam almost all day, every day, to learn as much as I possibly can. With that being said, I watched a video the other day where the host was using chunky glitter and she took an extra step to almost guarantee that the glitter lay flat on the cup before any other steps were made. She used Reynolds plastic wrap (though I am sure parchment paper would work as well) and placed the tumbler flat on one end and rolled it while pressing against the tumbler. This process allowed her to flatten the glitter against the tumbler. I thought that it was a great idea and wanted to share it with you and the readers in case you or someone else wanted to try it.
So many tumbler videos and I thought this was impossible to do correctly until I watched yours! I love how you show different methods, too. I just did my first one and its tumbling now. It looks great so far - thanks, Jennifer!

You can add more glitter, just be sure the epoxy is still tacky and then fill in any spots. You'd then apply another coat of epoxy only when that layer has cured.
Can I ask why you would want to use the 100 spray adhesive instead of the 300?
This was my question...
Hands down the best video on how to do this! Thank you so much for your patience while teaching and thorough explanation! New sub and sending virtual hugs. You are awesome!! 🤗

please tell me your using a respirator when your babysitting those cups
This video doesn't go into enough depth on safety, but later videos do and I am working on a full video just about epoxy safety in the hopes I can educate more people. I now wear a full-face respirator with organic vapor cartridges, nitrile gloves, and a PVC apron. :)
@@JenniferMaker cool I've just been seeing so many diy that are like hey hang out in front of it no respirator or mention of at least well ventilated area I mean I had a wimpy n95 carbon filter set n gtfo Asap it was table top so a bit easier way less baby sitting lol I think the vid I watch before this some girl wasn't told at all about safety now has respiratory issues I felt terrible for her.

@@87wxdiaz Yes, safety is so important when handling chemicals like these. I have now made the video on epoxy safety, it's my newest video. Be sure to check it out!
Epoxy can be cleaned up from brushes or the little measuring cups with lacquer thinner. Where gloves and be careful the thinner can corrode any finish.
Any tips I have got one that keeps coming out bumpy and the epoxy cures but it's smooth like level but comes but rough feeling I use a torch to get the bubbles out I have a turner as well. Not sure what I'm doing worng
The tumblers came out beautifully, I love each individual one. Thanks for the step by step video. I just got a cricut and have been watching videos for project idea. I love the purple ombre one the most reminds me of a galaxy effect.
Thank you, Kathy! I do love making these! 💗A few tips to remember if you want to try this at home: make sure to be in a well-ventilated area, wear a full-face respirator with organic vapor cartridges, nitrile gloves, and a PVC apron. :)
And ensure to always use epoxy resin indoors without a respirator so you can get chemical pneumonia or lung damage. 🤦🏻♂️
Epoxy resin is toxic while it is curing, and safety precautions must be taken. Wear proper protective equipment (nitrile gloves, long sleeves, full-face respirator, and apron) and work outside or in a well-ventilated area. Do not allow epoxy resin to touch your skin or be inhaled through fumes or dust. If you get some on your skin, wash it twice well with soap and water. Always read the safety information!
you can literally hear her breathing problems
Please share how you do the ombre tumblers!!!

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for such an insightful video! So if I wanted to skip the glitter (for the hubby's tumbler lol) and just do spray paint and vinyl, what would that process look like?
Just like this, Cindy, but with no glitter! Paint, epoxy, decal, epoxy! 😉🥰
Omg out of all the videos ,yours is THE BEST,clearly explained,to the point & the product is beautiful!!!
This is an amazing tutorial!!! I'm so ready to make my tumbler!
Have fun!
Such a great video!!! Thank you for being so thorough. I’ve been wanting to get into this but didn’t realize some of the steps. 💕
Came across your videos and love them!! My question is Do you use regular glitter or polyester glitter? I found several posts where this was mentioned and was wondering if it makes a difference?
Just used regular old glitter, Amalie! 😍
I see a lot of crafters chose not to use glue- What is the best way Why do you use Glue and proxy?
There are a few ways of using epoxy on tumblers. We preferred this way. 😊🌻
I would love to learn the ombre tumblers. Would you please share? You're videos are awesome!
Check out our blog, we have a tutorial 😊🌻
I love your channel!! You have helped me with making T-shirts and door mats. So I am excited about making a tumbler.
Thank you for another awesome video. You are so fun to watch and the information you provide is very helpful. Love your videos! thanks for sharing :)
hello, i tried to make my first tumbler yesterday but when i checked on it today 3/4 of the tumbler was stretched and wrinkly. could you possibly tell me what i did wrong?
It sounds like it didn't cure properly. Did you use exactly a 1:1 ratio? 😊🌻
thanks for responding!! Thank you so much for the assistance!!

You can also use modge podge to stick a photo on instead of using a decal. I made coasters that way.
you are SO amazing!! thank you so much. I LOVE your videos. and you make it so easy by tagging all the materials and where to buy them.
YAY! Thanks so much for watching them! I'm so happy to help! :)
Hello! Have you coated one of the foil or metallic tumblers? Can I put epoxy on it?
If I leave my tumblers outside to cure, is too much heat going to mess it up?
A warm, dry place is good for curing. Just be sure it's not too humid out. Thanks for watching! 😊
Great video, thank you. I agree I don’t want to feel the resin or glitter glad you left an edge.
This is great Jennifer. Beautiful mugs. 💖
You are awesome! I don't have the patience to sit and watch how-to videos because I feel that they talk way too much about non necessary things , but you , are so informative and I love how you share your tips and experience! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!😊🌻
Thank you soooooo much for all of your videos. I started making the tumblers and keep coming back to your videos. They are the most in depth and easy to follow. And when I have a question come up I know you have an answer already in the video. Thank you again.
You are so welcome, Elisha! I sometimes hear our tutorials have TOO much information, but I would rather have it that way than not enough! Thank YOU for telling me they are "just right"! 😍
You could also allow the epoxy to drip down to the taped portion. The tape will be removed anyway. The football method would work by just planting the stick with the lid facing down.
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I am a newbie so this really helped me understand how to do this. My granddaughter loves dinosaurs so I want to make one for her.
Glad it was helpful! Hope your granddaughter loves her cup! :)
Vinyl on a cup that isn’t going to come off immediately is lovely to see.
For real! :)
Where can I find the "N" monogram with the flower
Check out the tutorial, it's linked in the description above. 😊🌻
Wow! Thank you so much! 😃
So many tumbler videos and I thought this was impossible to do correctly until I watched yours! I love how you show different methods, too. I just did my first one and its tumbling now. It looks great so far - thanks, Jennifer!
Wonderful, so glad you found it helpful! 💗
Loved your video- I’ve been wanting to do this for some time- your video was the most informative- took some of the fear away
