Thansks for your video, it´s clear and straight and it will be very useful for me. My ´01 530i runs great but burns 1 liter of syntethic 5w40 every 250 miles. Yesterday I checked the inside of the dipstick tube guide (it was clean) but realized the hose that returns oil from the CCV to the oil sump was completely dry inside, so my guess is the CCV must be clogged and sending the oil to the combustion chambers. I think I must replace the CCV and tubes.
I wish you could upload your experience into my brain like a program so I can do this job because I suspect this is a reason my car is stuttering and hesitating violently at times lol
What is the thin line you took off by the fuel injectors. You had to unplug a sensor the move it and also it had to fittings. You showed it at 7:27 in the video
@@MikeMDs Mine is a 2009 535i i think the complete PCV system is shot or bad turbos, vacuum leaks .Its showing PO171 code misfires also i think the coils spark plugs are shot..
I usually average 3 hrs all said and done. My first one probably took 4. Its not bad. Just take your time. And take some pictures along the way just in case.
i have an 04’ 325i that i just bought. 2nd cylinder is misfiring, and it’s idling pretty rough. we know it’s not spark plugs or coils. would PVC be my best bet?
Only one cylinder misfire makes me think it's something else on 2004. Could be a faulty injector. Can you verify you are getting spark? If so then verify there is power going to the injector. If not then it could be a faulty engine control unit.
You may need to smoke test the induction system. If all looks good I know the DISA valve can cause lean mixtures. Also the fuel pumps on these older ones. And sometimes the mas air meeter.
Plse help me solve this mystery. After 10 minutes driving, on accelerating, a loud squealing from engine area occurs, eased off gas, and it stops....rough idling, ck engine light, etc, code said mass airflow issue....did replace sensor. Could it be this ventilation kit issue? Thanks.
It normally doesn't cause smoke on start-up. Usually leaking fuel injectors or blow by from piston rings cause that. Or coolant entering the combustion chamber from leaking head gasket. On accell its possible. But it sounds like it is something els
Its genuine bmw. Usually if you order the cold weather kit it is cheaper. They both fit the same. You can peel off the foam covering it when installing. Assuming your car doesn't have the cold weather package.
How the fuck did you put the small hose back wtf its ive been trying for 4 hours I just dont have enough space to put it back when the hose is connected
Nice video Man. This is so far the best detail explanation on how to do it without removing intake manifold. Amazing content. Thank you ! 😎💪
Appreciate it!

BMW service asked 500$+taxes to replace it on my x6. It took me 20$ and 20 minutes to do it myself. Thanks man!
Man, I've taken all this off so many times, I swear I can do it with eyes closed in 14 minutes flat

You skipped the part how to connect the corckscrew tube to the valve. How did you connect them?
Yeah. The hardest one
Excellent video man ! Nice ! I am on assembly. Kept your video on pause until i needed a clue.
Thanks alot !
Glad I could help
thanks for the video, very well explained, 👍
Glad it was helpful!
thanks for the info, and God bless you
Awesome! Thank you a million times!

Some engines have a cold start fuel injector. Most do not have that.
Great and detailed videos is this the same procedure on a BMW X5 2016?
Thank you. It is different on your vehicle.
So a bad PCV and PCV pipe will make BMW run rough with misfire and produce exhaust smoke ???
Older engines it will misfire and run rough. Some of the newer engines it will produce smoke from the tail pipe too.

Nice work! Realistically, how long does this job take without filming?

It sounds like it is the issue.
@@MikeMDs OK, thx you so much.
Can an overdue oil change cause white smoke from exhaust?
No. Worn piston rings and valve guide seals can cause oil to enter the combustion chamber and cause smoke from the tail pipe as well.
Could a bad pcv cause the car to smoke on start up and during acceleration?
What engine do you have and how many miles?
M54 148,000 miles

I do every time messing with and electrical like unplugging anything just in case. (Don’t want a code like airbags do).
No you dont.
