Thanks for this video. It was exactly what I needed to see. Since I already have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide 3%, this will make my life easy for disinfecting my bottles.

For 30 years, we used salt & icecubes to clean all coffeepots every morning. It . disinfects, inexpensive, non-toxic & it works.

also, when peroxide (H2O2) is left in the sunlight, it turns into water ..so bonus! but how often should you clean your jugs?

Would using rubbing alcohol and water do the job?

Okay for the layman, what is one part to 40 parts for a 5 gallon jug? It would have been nice to be told me how many tablespoons per gallon

Do not cap bottle after you rinse with hot water!!!!
I did that in winter. Put jug in car and went for a ride. Boom. Must of been the big hill I went up or something. Scared the jeepers out of me. Jug had big hole in it.

I played the end back, several times, and Still don't Understand What He Said at the End.. ( " remember- Water ........ ........... ...) "
The audio / Recording on this Video was Lousy...
Echoes.... Volume to low, distant.... I was just Hoping to hear about " Cleaning Out Algae Growth....from inside of the Plastic 5- Gallon Jug".
And I Don't Plan to Use Any Kind of " Soap " that leaves a fragrance / taste.

as a working man who has never gone to the hospital. for the cuts or holes I've put in my body, I pry open the wound and soak all of them in peroxide and alcohol. the alcohol helps to remove any grease, oil, dirt that gets in there. I then run a bunch of peroxide through it and I have only had 1 cut get infected. i took a torch to a razor blade for a minute and reopened the cut. i cleaned it with peroxide. a couple days later good as new

Hot water + plastic + soap = everything that comes out of that bottle tastes like soap forever, because it's now bonded to the plastic itself and you can not remove it.

@@FoxHoundUnit89 You don't have to use soap...just hot water.
