Hi guys! Since many people are now turning to cleaning with bleach as their go to method to disinfect and sanitize their homes, I thought I would do a video on some common mistakes that people make when cleaning with bleach. Some of these bleach mistakes can actually be very dangerous and hazardous to health! If you've ever been intimidated by a bottle of bleach or want to know how to clean with bleach properly, I know you will find this video useful.
If you've ever wondered how to clean with bleach, what mistakes to avoid when cleaning with bleach, and how to properly dilute the bleach to maximize it's cleaning power, I answer all those questions in this video.
Towards the end of the video I share some of my thoughts on what is going on today with the current health issues that are invading and disrupting our normal lives. My husband is a registered nurse working with many of the infect patients on a daily basis, and he is out on the frontline daily, so I get the stress, and anxiety, but I hope you will find some comfort in what I say. I am also going to go over some of the chemical combinations that you should NEVER mix with bleach. Here is a more expanded list 6 cleaning product combinations you should NEVER mix together.1.) Hi guys, today I dove in a little deeper on some mistakes we can make while cleaning with bleach. Towards the end I share some thoughts on the virus that is disrupting our lives and share my perspective as a wife of a Registered Nurse who is dealing with sick patients daily.

I Mop my tile with water and bleach and gets rid of the dark grout, I’ve been doing it for years and my grout is perfectly fine. Just super clean
I love the smell of bleach done right. I almost gave up on using as a disinfectant due to it being hard not to have it mixed with something else a little bit. I clean my coffee pot with vinegar and use other cleaning products around like Lysol, Pine Sol and dish soap. It's kind of inevitable that it won't be 'mixed' with another product minimally. I used glass cleaner with ammonia (not anymore) and just using bleach solution around that was problematic.
I use dawn with like a few drops for bleach. Not much 😢 I didn't know it was a problem
Thanks for this, I just figured out why I was having problems breathing, and continuous coughing, I was mixing bleach with dawn dish detergent to clean my items from the stores and delivered packages, and washing my hands with the dawn and bleach. I'm looking for mold and it occurred to me it could be the bleach. That's why I ended up on this video. Thanks
I work in a hospital and I clean the rooms, hallways, bathrooms, etc.
We use bleach in isolation rooms, such as mrsa or c. Diff (both floors and surfaces), as well as all bathrooms.
I'm worried about whether or not it's safe to clean small bathrooms with bleach wipes, like if it's ok to breath in there during cleaning, or should I walk out to take breaths.
Edit: no bleach for covid rooms, only cdiff and stuff
i clean my bathrooms with bleach especially with the floor but wearing a mask and overall open windows and doors just to let the smell out
I may be wrong but my sentiment is if the bleach is strong enough that it bothers you, you've used to much. it don't much bleach to be strong enough to kill bacteria.
I know because I've used full buckets with just a dab of bleach to clean things like mops and paintbrushes and it turned them white 🤣
so I guess I mean I feel people mix it way too strong. even 10 to 1 ration to me is too strong.
Hi I have been putting a little bit of dettol in the sink with my dishes and then rinsing them off. My flatmate has a plastic bowl in ther sink and a lot of food gets stuck in there. This made me think it wasn't clean. Dettol is a kind of bleach, I think. Do you think this is safe?

Try cleaning with bleech and tyde its amazing on sertian areas such as toilet tubs floors cleaning my mop heads etc

Bleach buying craze! When? It’s always with the other laundry cleaning products at home.
Info on how to use bleach was pretty good especially the amounts to use in a cup or gallon.
I never use bleach I always use vinegar and baking soda essential oils and it works better and safer non toxic

I accidentally spilled undiluted bleach in my laundry room. I cleaned it up with just water as best I could but it’s going on a week now and the odor is still strong. Any recommendations how to better clean/deodorize the room?

Actually, there were a lot of actual good tips in this video. I actually learned a lot. I didn't actually know that dumping bleach down the actual sink drain is actually bad for the drains.
You can sing bleach and water will that kill a fungus. Can I soak my toes in in bleach and water to get rid of
it takes way less bleach than you think to be effective at cleaning. if the smell bothers you at all youve gone way too strong 😂
like even 10 to 1 is stronger than needed in my opinion. instead of mixing it strong just go light and give it more time.
way safer, smells nicer and is just as effective as strong mix bleach. i know cause ive put like a few cap fulls in a 5 gallon bucket and put a mop in and it was white like an hour later 🤣
i think people mix it way too strong. a dab will do ya. unless your a hospital you dont need to nuke your house anyways 😂 id save my lungs at the risk of letting a few bacteria live.
which they wont anywas cause even weak bleach kills virtually everything and with time eats anything off.

Hey hon...thank you so much... I just wanted point out however, that there is away around the "don't mix bleach with Dawn" thing potentially.
My hunch is it must be done correctly...I haven't tried it yet. If I'm successful, I'll let you Know.
See, my bottle of bleach says mix with "sudsy water". I'm not sure if all bleach containers say that, or just the kind from the dollar tree.... We shall see. Like alot of us out there, we only ever always use Dawn to clean our dishes, and make out sudsy water.lol.
I will say that I am using a milder version of dawn...One of the botanical ones.
I'm not sure if you cover this:
Cover your hair when using bleach especially in small space like the bathroom, especially on tough Jobs....An old light clothe towel.or old scarf/ bandana is excellent...My sister uses a shower cap...I use a scarf and bobby pins...You don't want any of that stuff on your hair, no matter how careful one thinks they are....Use gloves of course, but wear a mask. You'll feel much better after, and if you can stand it, use some goggles, or sunglasses you can see through clearly pushed up reasonably up close to your face, it really helps shield the eyes

don't nuke your house with bleach lol. it takes wayyy less than most people realize. if the smell isn't pleasant you've mixed way too strong 😂 a dab will do in alot of water.
