I was skeptical of the lunar rock when it came out at first and was leaning more towards cement but over time the lunar grew on me and I ended up getting a 22 lunar off road!
Magnetic gray is sick man. I really think that is the most timeless color, especially with some tasteful mods. It's a neckbreaker for me for sure and really pops in the sunlight.
Cement grey is my favorite color for the Tacoma. Sometimes it looks dark grey sometimes it looks light grey depending on the lighting outside. And that makes Tacoma look awesome. Lunar Rock is very unique with its greenish hue.

Good side-by-side comparison! I owned a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro and traded it for a '20 (both white) to get all the upgrades you mentioned...in addition, the '20 has the smart key function for the passenger door, JBL speakers, 360 degree cameras, and adaptive cruise. There were so many tech upgrades it was well worth it for me to trade. Toyota, however, dropped the CD player, and the large storage compartment in the bed for the '20. BTW: I do prefer the looks and performance of LED headlights to the halogens.
I have 2021 TRD Off road - cement upgrade from 03 sr5. I have the led headlights and they are stunning with DRL very very bright! I love cement but Lunar is a beast, Yes the TECH is a must. TRD wheels I do not have but want - great video I am a fan
I Love my 23 TRD Off Road, Premium pkg, 6’ bed. The only thing I HATE about my Tacoma is the Death Black Leather interior, so I reached out to Katzkin and had them make me TRD Red Leather seat covers with black trim and stitching. They took the Coffin Black Leather off my seats and put the TRD Red Leather on them. I then sold my buddy the black leather as his Lunar Rock 23 Tacoma has Gloomy Gray cloth interior.
Love both colors but i lean more with luner since cement is kinda what everyone seems to get more often. Doesnt mean cement isnt anyless attractive to look at.

@@UntamedMotors I feel exactly the same way, the fact that you get a cement look in some lighting and like 1-3 different shades depending on environment is what may have me swayed more toward LR, but cement is still different in its on way. Lunar rock is just a pale washed out green, (the army green was a better color), while the cement gray is just primer with a clear coat gloss. It appears most people are losing their mind over these two colors, but I'm ok being a contrarian.
I have an SR5 2021 white and love it. It came with 245/75r16 on it, hated them, to small. Just put 265/70r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3 on it and man what a difference. The truck has much better look now.
I just bought a 23 DCLB OR in Magnetic Grey Metallic because that's only color they had one coming in. If I could've chosen any color I wanted, it would have been 1. Quicksand, 2. Cement and 3. Lunar Rock

The lunar rock has grown on me a little. I really didn't like it when it came out. I bought a Tacoma in Cement. Love Cement. Everyone says how they like the color. Both are good trucks. Lunar rock though I think you have to love it to buy it.

Thank you! The Tundra will be the wiser option by a long shot. The Tacoma works but isn’t ideal for little ones. The Tacoma is definitely a lot more versatile though... easy to daily drive... easier to park... better off road... but the power of the Tundra’s V8 is glorious... I could go back and forth all day, hah. 👍

Yeah the rear drums are inexcusable at this point imo... it’s Toyota cheaping out. Yeah the stock tune has this truck constantly hunting for gears. It can be annoying but I’ve grown used to it. 🤷🏼

Thanks man! Amen 🙏🏼 I didn’t drive the lunar rock at that time but I’ve since driven one. The TRD tuned fox suspension is extremely plush… so smooth around town. The icon setup was next level, the icons feel on par with the Raptor’s suspension to be honest. Much more floaty. Still prefer cement over lunar when it comes to color.

Awesome truck! I have a 2021 cement trd sport and I love the stance with the lift and tire combo you have! Im looking to do something very similar And am curious as to if you do any off-roading? And if so you experience any rubbing ? With that offset on the rim if you rub is it on the UCA the cab mount or wheel well? And if there’s any rubbing when fully turning left and right ? I’ve been going crazy trying to find the right lift size and tire/wheel combo that won’t rub or at least very little without making the truck look like it’s on mini donuts lol.but your trucks look is exactly what I’m aiming for. would really appreciate the input.

I wouldn’t have ever had a single gripe about it, that is, until I experienced the stage 9 lift here haha.. I now know the cloud-like absorption and I’d have a difficult time “settling” on the Fox suspension lol.

I can definitely see why a lot of folks do it... the gear hunting in the Tacoma here is bad. The OV tune tends to cure the issue too. I’m open to doing that, but it doesn’t bother me too much tbh. Idk... maybe I’ll pull the trigger on it in the near future.
