@@BrosFOURRSpeed True.i have a manual and I have had cash offers to purchase my 2019 off-road... the problem is if I sell I would want another manual and it won't be cheap or easy to find. I paid $32,000 for mine with 6 miles on the odometer.

Good video. Nice work. I own a ‘18 Taco Off Road. It’s 2.5 years old and haven’t had a single issue with it. Great vehicle, extremely capable off road, extremely practical, holds its value better than just about any vehicle out there and reliability it’s as good as it gets.

Just bought my 2021 Off-road access cab in the army green. I love how long lasting these are not just mechanically, but aesthetically, in 30 years this will still look like a sharp truck. I love the ‘95 Tacoma’s for that reason, absolutely timeless look.

@@Jose-js7ke Well the Sierra is a truck the size of a Tundra. So if you need the space opt for the GMC. If you want something smaller, go for the Tacoma 😎

I have had my 2019 TRD Off road for about 6 months now. Mine is also the cement color, but it is a 6 speed manual. I absolutely love it. I used to be a Chevy guy but I think I have been converted.

Funnily enough, i also live in North Carolina (Charlotte), and the first thought I had was to take my new Tacoma once I buy it to the mountains. I just got back from my trip to the mountains and the amount of Tacoma's was impressive. I swear it's my favorite truck of all time.

Yea...friend from the great state of Iowa! Had been looking for a new TRD OFFROAD with MT. Found one that was that Cement, which I like. It is a TRD Sport though, and I have it in my head to get an OFFROAD, even though I would probably rarely go offroad..go figure!!!!
That’d be a cool choice! Although mechanically the Sport won’t be much different. The manual Tacoma won’t have CRAWL Control anyways. So the only difference might be a locking rear diff. Good luck with your search. Can’t go wrong!
Just bought my 2021 trd off road double cab and I really like the ride, space, comfort and added some inexpensive stuff to truck already. I test drove other trd sport models and I felt a better ride on this off road. I had considered Colorado, gmc or a larger truck but really happy w choice. Last Toyota truck I had was 87

Just bought this truck 2 days ago and absolutely love it! Like Cole I can't stop driving the damn thing! Lol. I bought mine in the Midnight Black Metallic, which has some blue metal flake in it and it looks amazing! Plus mine came with LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and black bezel LED fog lights, which makes the front look even better if you asked me. And they pop with that Midnight Black paint too. One thing y'all didn't mention that I like is how comfortable the seats feel. They are super comfortable to me. You have keyless entry and mine also came with electric start that I like but I also like the fact you have the Toyota app that links to it and allows you to start it, unlock/lock the doors from anywhere if needed. It also let's you know when it needs serviced and keeps record of when you do have it service. There's quite a bit more options on that app as well. But I live in the coalfields of West Virginia, where the mountains are HUGE and the Tacoma is perfect for here. Especially this one in particular, with the MTS/Crawl settings. If anyone is needing a good truck, this is a great one to buy. They also have great towing power to be a mid-sized truck. If you're thinking about buying one, go check these out. I believe you'll be driving one home.
Oh and if anyone reads this and is close to Logan County, West Virginia, come to Thornhill Toyota near Chapmanville. They are doing big things down there! They got me from a 20% interest rate on my car I traded in down to a 2.9 on the Tacoma!!!!! And they paid my car off that I literally just got 2 months ago!!! Come see them and look for salesman Robert Skonberg and tell them Mark Riley sent ya.

I bought my first taco in Dec 2014, got a 2015 TRD off-road blue and it was awesome... then a year later my wife T-boned a mustang lol their fault but totaled both vehicles. First thing my wife said to me was she felt safe and felt bad for the truck. About to buy a 2021 cement off-road.🤙

Awesome video and review! This truck looks so good. I wanted to buy one so bad. Cross-shopped a 2020 Tacoma with the ridgeline(I know...not a real truck😂)and other than the looks and off-road capability/towing, which I’ll never use, the ridgeline did everything better. Better interior, way bigger and more usable backseat especially if you have kids, better tech, better safety rating, and more storage with the trunk in the ridgeline bed. In the end I didn’t buy either....just couldn’t get past the ridgeline looks and couldn’t get past how cramped the Tacoma back seats were.
You do make some fair points on both of them. I could never get a Ridgeline for the same reasons! The only think I like about it is that under bed storage! But I love my tacoma, the backseats yeah are a little cramped, but overall I like it!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Supposedly there are big cosmetic changes coming for the 2021 Ridgeline. Reportedly a front end redesign to look more truck like. Keep up the great work!
I just got a 2021 Tacoma V6 6 Speed MANUAL TRD Off Road and I have yet to pick it up but I am so anxious. It gets here the 25th. Itll be my first brand new vehicle and I bought it cause I wanna be ready for when I have a family and I feel that this truck is a great start to the life I want.

@@seadoo4life127 I don't think it's bad, city driving is normal. It's mainly on the highway the truck goes between 4th and 5th, doesn't really utilize 6th much. I regeared my 17 and it uses 5th and 6th now o the highway. But I'd still buy it again!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed i’ve had two Chevy Colorado’s. One with the six speed ,which was terrible ,and now I have a ZR 2 with the eight speed and honestly it’s way better but still not perfect. It’s amazing how these companies just cannot get it together. My lease is up in a year and trying to figure out my next truck

I came close to buying this. All I seen from the reviews was in the same model as this truck. I took it for a teat drive and felt like a sluggish wandering transmission. When I looked at it it was $43,000 CAD and two weeks later it jumped to $48,000. I got a 2014 Honda Civic Si instead as I’m never getting rid of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee xj
Oh wow! The gear issue is because they kept the same differentials from the 2nd Gen tacoma with the 5 speed auto. So they are not the correct ratio for a 6 speed. Did 5.29 gears on my brothers Tacoma and that solved it. Si sounds fun!

This is a great truck. Im hoping toyota introduces a Prime version like the Rav4. They can definitively do it, tgat rav4 prime produces 300hp while getting great MPG when just driving around

I love my 2020 Sport 4x4...I got it in the blackout package and they still had "chrome" emblems. But those are easy to replace or just take off or its his truck he can leave them on lol

Man I love everything bout it but the 4 door. I’d love to have the access cab trd off road cause Of the 6 foot bed.
That's why they make different styles! It's cool to see the access cab with the 6ft bed is the same length as a 4 door with the 5ft. If you don't need more space in the back it's a great option!
We rented a Tacoma last weekend to go to our farm. Man!! It was beautiful, the view and the truck. It easily goes over those rocks like nothing. We took so many pics. The price is great for this truck. I’m getting a 2022 fully loaded how I want less than 47k. I love Black so idk if I’ll go with that because the rental we had was the cement gray and that looked damn good

I just bought this truck and I got the single cab but it has those little seats in the back and for some reason my nephews love to sit in those seats

Although I find the rear seat a little disappointing reason being no center fold down arm-rest.
Yeah the rear could use a few more amenities for sure. But overall the Tacoma is a great truck!

Order one. Due to the high demand the used aren’t much cheaper than a brand new one. Hope this helps. Only downside is it’ll likely take 2-3 months

Unfortunately, on Friday March 19th, I lost my 2015 Taco Prerunner 😞I was hit by a drunk driver and thank goodness I survived but the guy smashed into the passenger side bed and tailgate, but I literally went spinning and crashed my Tacoma 😪insurance is gonna cover a new one for me but I’ll never get back those road trips I took with my old one. It’s only been a few days and I miss my truck....rest in peace Jobey

Do you think Toyota Tacoma is a good choice for a graduateschool student who needs to load a lot of stuffs in the car and hates dealing issues with major & minor issues happening to the car frequently? But loves to drive long distance / drive often / drive in almost any weather conditions? I wonder if this model comes with a manual transmission... Also, which one would you choose between the ford ranger and toyota tacoma? As both of them are well known to be lasting long and have good functionality. Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed the video! I've had my 17 tacoma for 3 years now and absolutely love it! It's great for moving and hauling items, I've used it a lot for that! I drive the truck in any weather and it's a great daily! Manuals are available for almost every trim level, but you may have to buy new to spec it that way, unless you can find one for sale of course. Honestly after being in the Ranger's, I would go Tacoma! I feel like for the price, you get more in the Tacoma and just a nicer layout!
Out of them two trucks the Toyota is only one I know that will be reliable and much better resale value!!! Buy a Toyota you’ll be happy!!!🤠

I'm sold on the Toyota Tacoma TRD off road. But come on Toyota, how about LED headlights and get rid of that 80s rear drum brakes. That would round off a perfect truck. And also long range (larger capacity) fuel tank.
LED headlights are an option. But its like $2k. Can get them aftermarket for less then half. Range seems pretty normal. 300-400 depending. But a new one should be coming soon!

Hey small question, does the default TRD off road come with seat warmers? Or do you need to get that off road package? The dealer made it sound like you needed to get the “off road” package with the sun roof, leather seats, etc to get warmers which isn’t worth it to me but obviously they’d be nice to have on cold winter days
The cloth seats in the Tacomas don't get the heated option, but the leather should. I don't know if the leather in the TRD Offroad gets it, but possibly in the limited model though.
I have a 2020 trd off road premium. It has every option available on a tacoma. Soooo nice

Thank you for the video, I am considering buying this Tacoma however it will be my first pick up and I was wondering if I should get the 2 door or the 4 door version. Can anyone give me some pros and cons of each? I think the 2 door also seats 4 people anyways. Would love some feedback from Tacoma owners.
I've never had the 2 door Tacoma before, but remember there is the 2 door and the access cab. The 2 door won't have back seats and the access cab has sideways seats, so they are just really there in a pinch. Not a full backseat area, it's mainly good for interior storage. If you have 4 people in the truck a lot and use the backseats I'd go with the 4 door all day! If you don't need the space and it's just you, then the 2 door or access cab!
Did you end up getting a Tacoma?
Have they improved the leg room for the driver?. Previous models wouldn't accommodate a tall person. I am 6'1. Very cramped i feel like i am in a Corolla.
Same as the 2nd gen in my opinion. I'm 5ft 11 and have no issues. But you can move the seat back to help. Might want a Tundra if you find this cramped
Is the reason this trim level has chrome rear bumper because its the off road and not the offroad premium?
All of the TRD Off Roads have the chrome rear bumpers and stock grilles. TRD Sport has body colored
The backup camera is so bad man. I own a 2023 OR, and I had to adjust the brightness all the way up and play with the contrast to make it useable.
My 17 OR was great, never had any complaints with it!
