i got a 95 sc300 that i can’t figure out. car died on the road one day started running super rich throwing black smoke. maf code threw, changed maf, code gone, but still same problem? from that day i started changing literally everything. Injectors, regulator, manifold/tb gaskets, air filter, vac lines, coolant sensor, o2 sensors, cats are deleted since i don’t have downstreams, serviced cap/rotor/plugs/wires, got ecu repaired at Taninauto and they claim the ecu ran fine on their tests before sending it back to me. So now i’m stumped. Any suggestions?
To keep IAC warm in cold climate places, if they're on the throttle body you can actually disconnect those and you actually get a little bit of power in your car. It's not going to blow up because you don't have it.
My supra idle dies when poping the clutch in neutral while driving or slowing down ?? But if I turn the AC on it idles fine and doesn't die. Anyone help????
My idle is around 1200 rpm I already cleaned mine and it still idles high your looks like around idle 750 I once saw a video and it saud that sontines it could also be the thermostat
I’m also having idling problem in my Toyota Aristo with the same engine you have in your Supra. It just idles at 200-300RPM at cold start and stalls out as I hit the throttle. It takes time to start taking it off. Can you please recommend me what am I missing here?
Hello I just bought mkiv and when i checked the control valve was unplugged?!! Can you plz explain to me it should be plugged or unplugged? I plugged in and car run better than before Also from side there is a pipe is unconnected either and I don’t know what it should connect with, Thnks
For those still having idle issues, look into replacing some capacitors in your ECU. One 30 cent part made my car run so much better.

Just did this on my NA along with cleaning the throttle body. Idle is rock solid now. Great video.

I’m the video I go to the store and get some bent needle nose pliers. Those helped me soo much with getting those bottoms two horses out!

Any help on the 2 pipes below. I dont see them connected and I don’t see any hoses either. Any drawings p/diagram

My idle lopes and my car sometimes cuts off, is this the usual culprit? I've had this motor for about 14 years now I've never touched it.
I got a 2jz-ge non vvti Jdm and every time I connect an 02 sensor or my map sensor my idle starts going high
get new injectors and check for vacuum leaks, injectors usually

you could have a bad IACV , bad o2 sensor, is there any codes?

Have you cleaned out the AICV? Check vacuum lines.

Why the old owner unplugged the control valve, does it improve something?
That should plugged in! Take it out clean it and see if the car runs better. If it dose not run any better you need to replace it!
Was the idle jumping up and down before this iac clean up? Did it die on you coming to a set of lights? I think i have the same issue

The 2JZ-GE iacv is in a shitter spot, there are no videos online how to take it out :(
