Rewatching this video because Backlogs is gonna do a pots only run. Watching how only magic pots almost killed the Fire Giant now puts my faith in “He might pull it off, maybe.”
Alexander's quest is hard to mess up, if we're leaving out the jarburg portion. Alexander will go everywhere you need him to be as long as you do 2 things: 1, talk to him after beating Radahn, he'll be at the festival regardless of whether or not you give him the step brother treatment. And 2, talk to him by the volcano. As long as you do just those 2 things, he will always end up at Faram Azula. The portion involving jarburg is the part that's easy to mess up.
Loved the run, but i feel like it was less an explosives only challenge and more just an item only challenge. Especially with the use of holy water pots that don't... yknow... "explode" so much as shatter violently. Wouldve been cool to see some lesser used things in the game like the Ghostflame explosion spell, or weapons like deaths poker and the cannon shield. Maybe even explosive bolts. Im aware that would make the challenge easier, but it would also be more interesting given some variety. Mayhaps another limiting condition couldve been set to keep the difficulty high since the whole point of the challenge is resource management.

Complete Alexander’s and you can then give him the key item without even doing Volcano Manor or meeting Diallos and he will leave on his own, as his arc isn’t centered around Diallos.
