The joke about "The Shaft" being a film about haunted sex toys didnt even make me flinch a little. I was just like: "Alright, sounds like a film to me"
Same, I was completely prepared for that plot.
I mean, teeth was a real horror movie too... So same.
Yall seen goregasm?
More like adult film
I was actually disappointed when i found out it was all just a prank
I just KNOW the Harry Potter fandom are slamming their head against the door rn cause you’re not dressed up as an English wizard
As a Harry Potter fan. I am indeed slamming my head against a door. Now. I must apparate
@@JazlinJB i shall accompany u 😩😩😩😩😩
Can confirm :D missed opportunity for our James Potter haha
Acting like this isn’t something James Potter would wear
I mean james potter does die on Halloween so…
Nick, softly: “Oh, a musician.”
🥺❤️
my favorite part of the video
Found that so funny
9:15
A meow-sician?👀
Funniest thing he’s ever said
"CALLING SHOTGUN: When the car's driving, everyone's a passenger!"
Actually a good horror movie plot, like Christine
If the movie goes for a more artsy, indie-film vibe, an alt on the title might be:
_Dying in Cars with Boys_
or, if it’s more of a campy, horror comedy:
_Evil Head[rest]: Look Who’s Calling Shotgun Now!_
…then again, I suppose you couldn’t go wrong with the obvious franchise tie-in and just call it:
*CARS 4*
“boop their tires to death” is the best possible way to have described that scene
I love all of your videos, but this has to be my all time favorite. You can really tell that you’re passionate about the topic and I’m so glad to be able to watch this. Thank you Nick!!
THANK YOU!
I never knew they made a fourth "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" movie
LMAO 🤣😂!
Wait, there’s a 3rd one? I thought there were just 2
I didn't even know there was a second one
Wait, there were only two movies. But 5 books! They’ve been teasing us with the third for a decade now.
@@eframps oh ok
TIL that crowbar shaped wrenches aren't an effective defense against a Killdozer. Thanks Nick!
There's no defense against the killdozer
My cousin was in the first episode of a weird cgi show about cars that eat people and he was one of the people that got eaten. His mom refused to watch his fake organs splatter out of a Toyota Corolla
This is such a hilarious comment I love it
The movie/show thing is called Blood Drive (2017) lol
Omg I just checked out the trailer, looks awesomely gruesome 😃
I love how in this genre, anything with blood in/on it becomes haunted, and how it's clearly made by men who never fully learned about periods.
If period blood causes haunting then half my clothes and a few beds are cursed.
cis men are basically all men who never fully learned about periods. sex ed isnt very good and they didn't pay attention anyway
@Danny E
they barely teach actual period-havers about periods in sex ed lol
lots of haunted plastic and bleached cotton in landfills rn
Nah, as a person with a period I can say I’ve caused a lot of things to become haunted, it’s really quite a difficult life 😔
“Calling Shotgun: the movie” but it’s just that part of Danny’s troom troom video where Danny tries to squish Nick by reclining the seat back
Such an underrated comment
The fact that attack of the killer tomatoes isn't in the food category is a horror in its self.
I'd forgot about that movie and the sequel
I loved that movie, and the ridiculous way they find to stop the tomatoes.
The real sin is that he didn't talk about the Evil Bong movies
There should be a Vegetable category
(waits for people to line up in the replies to say _"aCtUaLlY iT's A fRuIt"_)
That costume is an absolute banger-
what is with these bots lmao
@@glooberofficial guess got excited by nicks costume
im sorry but what IS he?
@@izzytepe polka dot man from the suicide squad
@@44thstudios I thought he dressed up as a demonic twister mat tbh lmao🤦
I honestly expected Slaxx to be a full length film version of How to Make Jorts by Brian David Gilbert
When he mentioned it I immediately thought of that video
infinitely a better horror film
@@AudreyKaydrey yeah in all seriousness if BDG was involved in making a horror comedy film I'm confident it would be great
best horror (short) movie of an object coming to life! Thanks for reminding me about it
When I found out about the Gingerdead Man series many years ago, I was so excited that I purchased all three of them on DVD, ordered from my local video store. Some time passed and I hadn't received the DVDs, so I contacted the store and they told me that the distribution company had to MAKE the DVDs to send them to me. Like, they didn't just have enough on hand sitting around waiting to be shipped.
They WHAT. That’s amazing.
Weren't there more than 3?
@@ashikjaman1940 You're right, there was Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong which came out in 2013, that was after I ordered the DVDs! I'll have to check it out sometime.
The disrespect when there’s only “one” film in the food category, how could you not find the tomato killers series they’re so incredibly stupid and good
I hoped someone would have made this comment!
i put off all my responsibilities and waited for this video
Same
Literally watching this at work
Violet Chachki 🔥
Thank 👏 You👏 For👏 The👏Monster House👏 Recognition👏
That movie slaps. I still get scared
@@santaberbs I guess you don’t want me to talk about Scrooge and Coraline then 😂 (my childhood fears) like literally my brother had to cover my eyes during Coraline
Another automobil scary movie is Herbie: Fully Loaded, starring Lindsay Lohan. Truly nightmare inducing..
That was my favorite movie as a kid
i was seriously scared of that movie when i was a kid omfg
This gave me an idea. A cool clothing killer item could be a necklace. Any one who wears the necklace finds themselves becoming incredibly lucky, the necklace adjusts itself to whoever wears it so the victims know its magical; but all good things must come to an end. My favorite type of horror is ones that use soft magic/psychological thriller/horror, so in that spirit the necklace has unknowable powers. You can't take it off because it gives you everything you want but it also slowly drives you insane by causing hallucinations that slowly escalate and result in madness that leads to death.
ty for blurring out the gory parts nick!! as someone who really enjoys your videos but who is also pretty sensitive to gore, i really appreciate it :)
Babe its not allowed on UA-cam so he needed to do it to be monetised 😂
@@brainfreeze7549 UA-cam hosts slasher movies. UA-cam also has Dead Meat, the dude who makes Kill Count and he shows all of it. Nick literally had an TW for the people who are squeamish and advised people to skip the bloody parts.
@@chocomelo454 yeah it was more so because i know people get uncomfortable with that kinda stuff. i assumed the vid would get demonetized anyways with the movie footage lol!
@@brainfreeze7549 Some of the clips were from UA-cam
@@brainfreeze7549 babe no need to be so rude lolol. You should be ashamed to be rude for someone being happy lol like grow up and address the problems you have with yourself.
I’m like a minute in and this video is one of my favorites. The energy is AMAZING
its the costume and the thumbnail that just started this on a good note for me
Just took the batteries out of the carbon monoxide alarm cause the loud beeping was making me feel light headed and dizzy :/
9:15 "oh, a musician"
just leaving this for myself
highkey wanted nick’s couch to come alive, possess him, and finish the rest of the video but yeah sure this works for me too ig
I love how nick is dressed as polka dot man
I don't see it. He just kinda looks like my mom.
As a Abner Krill fan, I love that someone actually recognized who Nick is dressed as.
The lightning was cute; Bambi’s immortal.
sounds like a bad fan fiction name
The mangle is actually a real historical name for the laundry press! They called it that because people would uh. MANGLE themselves with it
Its still called „Mangel“ in German
I'd say we say people "mangle" themselves because they were injured by a mangle. Like, appliance named first, then the verb.
@@TheOctavian316 Yeah for sure, no way it was named that after people hurt themselves lol. Pretty sure it came to English from German or an earlier Germanic language too. Like someone mentioned, the German word is Mangel and in Finnish it's mankeli, lol.
@@TheOctavian316 idk man, I would have definitely named something the "ow-my-hand-is-crushed-big-pain machine". Etymology of words is super interesting though! You're likely right on the order there
@@anchik lol. My fave one is 'sabotage'. French peasants hucking their wooden shoes "sabot" into the looms to break them in protest. Language is fun.
"oh we got a musician huh" -- that part got me, shows what ur like off camera lol
Also, there’s an older “killer hair” story you didn’t mention! It was called “Hell Toupee” (get it?). It was an episode of one of those old anthology shows from the 90s, maybe the 90s version of Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits, or maybe Amazing Stories - not quite sure.
Okay but that title is amazing tho-
hell toupee...
the mangler isnt actually as indirect of a title as you'd think. a mangle is "a mechanical laundry aid consisting of two rollers in a sturdy frame, connected by cogs and, in its home version, powered by a hand crank or electricity"
so, the mangler is a movie about a mangle
i only know this because i used to be obsessed with FNAF btw hahahghsdfdvhdkjhfja
That polka dot man costume is an absolute banger man
The way Nick talks to Bambi is my favorite thing ever and he needs to make a whole video of him just talking to Bambi like a normal human
I feel like the jeans movies is about fast fashion/consumerism/capitalism… but I may be wrong and it’s just a silly movie.
It's like the writers were on a mix of lsd and cocain when they wrote it
The channel Scaredy Cats has a video about Slaxx; according to that video that is what it's going for but it kind of fumbles the bag
"Throws a wrench" *immediately see a crowbar*
The way he was so passionate about these movies and giving accurate reviews is awesome. Me and my friends watched this on halloween then watched the pants movie right after💀
This is such a cool idea for a Halloween themed video!! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Thank nick!!!
thanks!
Rubber is a movie by the director quentin dupieux who makes completely absurd movies that are not meant to be taken seriously. He made Le Daim which is about a jacket that possesses people into becoming murderers. While completely absurd, it’s honestly really good and very funny. He made au poste as well which is a great movie too.
Yeah, I remember Rubber being goofy commentary on audiences, it was a lot of fun. I'll have to check out his other stuff!
My title would have been "passenger to hell"
"Calling shotgun" is probably more epic though lol
i’m a little surprised that “maximum overdrive” wasn’t on here but at the same time i get it, because like, even though the most prevalent killers in the film ARE cars/trucks, the movie is technically about ALL electronics coming to life and killing people, which makes it a whole lot harder to categorize, lmao. great video though!! i’d love to see you talk about more spooky things in the future :) also your cat is so talented :)
Yea that’s what I was thinking too. How could he leave this one out? After reading your comment, I guess I understand as well.
For me personally, the thought of an elevator coming to life to kill me is absolutely terror inducing because for as long as I can remember I've had this recurring dream where I get onto an elevator and it starts free falling out of control at warp speed and when it hits the ground I wake up. 😳😱 Happy Halloween Nick! 🎃 I love how much you put into your content. Keep up the good work mate! 💓
I was thinking the same during the video, as I've also had recurring nightmares for years about being in an elevator without walls, or falling out of control, or going into weird directions (like sideways) really fast. It's good to know I'm not the only one (although I suspect it might be a very common nightmare)
Best part of the day is seeing some of your absolutely amazing content!! You’re literally so cool dudeeee. Love the content
As a horror fan you have no idea. There's an Amityville horror where we discover the lamp was causing all the evil (efit: eh you found it!)
harry potter fans gonna be mad he isn’t that wizard they put him as 😭
HE SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT it would have been so funny oh my god
the fancasters actually: James Potter would of dressed up as polka-dot man too if voldemort didn't kill 😩✊
Wait wait wait. Rubber is a MUST WATCH for me! Every Quentin Dupieux Movie is pure gold!! 😅
one of my favorite horror comedies!
Yes! I came looking for this comment
Stephen King was ahead of the curb in terms of the dangers of self driving cars 🚗 👻😱
happy haloweeen Mr Nick we love and appreciate ur content
I'm so glad that the cat who got struck by lightning in the background didn't die but instead got resurrected.
Nick: **music**
Bambi: y'know... I'm somewhat of a musician myself.
Also Bambi: Uhh and I also do some writing!
The effort you put into this video is definitely worth it!
for reals, it's now one of my fave videos by him!
Nick never fails to make me laugh. You are such a talented creator!!!👻🥳
Nick this is genuinely one of my favorite videos that you’ve made. Maybe cause it gives me Drew Golden vibes, but I like the thorough analysis + subtle jokes throughout. Also no offense but I’m getting sick of the political content (I always agree with you, it just seems like a lot lately lol) keep it up!
i kinda agree, nick can make whatever he wants, it’s always entertaining and funny. i do get really tired of hearing abt another sexist man bc that just kinda sucks to hear abt when sexism actually effects ur everyday life. it just feels a lot more sad and less funny but idk maybe that’s just me
Since you didn’t talk in detail about it, I gotta say *In Fabric* absolutely RIPS.
I saw In Fabric on a whim by myself at my local art house theater. Absolutely was blown away!
Bambi: walks on piano.
Nick: Oh, a musician :)!
Stay hydrated
this is a threat
4:33 tell me why i thought he wanted to make his own pair of demon jeans at first
20:00 I gotta say you completely got me, I 100% believed that was an actual film. How could I not after hearing about the killer fridge, space heater/table, lamp, elevator, bed, recliner, pants....?
I’m so fucking high rn and when you said he threw a wrench at the bulldozer and it shows him throwing a crowbar completely threw me into a rabbit hole of hysteria my guy
This is straight up I think one of my favorite movie commentary videos I've ever seen. It's about such a specific topic, but with tons of different source materials, and it's all put together in a really perfect way. You did a really awesome job on this and made my Halloween even better, thank you Nick!
I love how the lightening split the cat into pieces then when he said “coming to life” the cat reassembled itself 😅😂👏
blurring the cat's butt is a 10000 IQ move
you know this man is a legend when he censors his cats private parts. respect kittys privacy!
This is so well researched and data oriented, the data analyst is me is satisfied. Nick is definitely not green.
I love how much effort you put into this one, it really shows and was super fun to watch!
Ahh! The Twister mat came to life! :)
17:55 sounds like that fridge will only do its job when hell freezes over
Bad Hair actually had some genuinely scary moments. Overall, I found it funny and entertaining. However, the scenes where she was getting her hair done gave me flashbacks.
A “mangle” is the actual term for a laundry press. And, people - especially kids - were very often victims of accidents by way of a mangle, hence the word “mangled”.
this is quite possibly your best video ever, i love slashers a lot so really enjoyed someone just as passionate as me talk about them for so long haha. well done !!
When you’re not watching this Halloween because you live in Australia and it’s November 1st
I think this video really shows your creativity and humor in a new way, I absolutely love it
When bambi walked over the keyboard and nick knows that his baby is ( like father , like son ) so he's like "oooh a musician "
imazine : from head to toe - black hair -red dress - red shoe , and add more is assessory necklace + ring , a combo of haunting !
4:56 CD's Nuts sounds like the best horror movie in existence I think
this video was definitely one of my favorites of yours!! so entertaining!! I loved it!! 💗
You did such a great job Nick! Really proud of this video! Much love ❤
this has been my favorite video yet omg
THE KILLER LAMP YES!!!!! I watched that one with my grandmother when it was a kid and it scared the SHIT out of me. I'm rewatching this immediately, I'm so glad you included it!!!!!!!
Genuinely surprised attack of the killer tomatoes wasn't here
Thanks nick! Needed this! Happy Halloween 🎃
this is a super interesting avenue re: horror analysis i don't think i've ever seen, i love this approach + video and i'm excited to see more like it! this one is a banger fr nick!! we see your hard work and creativity paying off 😤
awww thank you!!! i appreciate that felix
this is definitely one of your best videos!!!! we can tell that you worked hard on it! go nick!
i love a deep dive video where we analyze wild things. genuinely, this video is awesome
love this concept! the effort you put in this is amazing too
Unrelated but I just want to say I've been binge watching alot of your videos recently and I'm obsessed. You have just a very calming energy and are a great content creator :))
9:15 is the best part of the entire video sorry nick. also happy halloween & thank you for the content king
This video makes me so happy, a favourite topic of horror film and my favourite UA-camr . An easy new favourite film. I hope you enjoyed making this since i enjoyed watching ^^
I just saw this on my recommended and I absolutely love that people talked about this specific genre of horror films! Your energy and enthusiasm in this video made me happier to watch this all throughout :DD ! Also I would also add the movie here that we have in the Philippines called "Pridyider" [2012] (or "Fridge") that also has the same premise (possibly because it was directly inspired from a 1984 anthology horror film called Shake Rattle and Roll, which was the first installment in the series).
I loved this video so much. The best vibes for this spooky day. Happy Halloween!
I love the concept of this entire video. It's the perfect amount of creative chaos.
25:51 the kitty scarred me so much 😭
i love the amount of dedication that went into this video
I love your regular videos, but as a huge horror fan, this one was a special treat for me.
THE POLKA DOT MAN FIT IS ON POINT
"I'm Dangerous Tonight" (1990) would probably count as an earlier version of the killer clothes theme since the dress possesses anyone who wears it to make them murder.
You can tell how much work Nick put into this. One of your best videos yet!!
You are really good at talking about stuff while also making it interesting. Good job Nick!
Honestly I love this style of video for u. Really cool!!
This is the best Halloween video I could have asked for
this is probably my favourite video of yours, love to see it!!!!
this was so fun to watch!!! i love your content dude
