The fact that they chose a video of someone breaking the rules of musical chairs and violently taking the chair away as "Working Smart" tells you everything you need to know about the billionaire mindset.
Because "Work smart" is when you rip-off other people's labour earned capital. Oh wait...
That stupid freaking video was taken at my highschool too 🥲 Very accurate to how everyone treated each other
I mean, they ain't wrong. Cheating and fucking over other people is the billionaire mindset. It's just immoral.
@@swpolitical Almost like our society's whole concept of intelligence and effort is predicated upon a class system that takes advantage of those lower down in the hierarchy, a fundamental flaw within our very system of capital itself. Nah, I'm probably just imagining things.
@@wokerthe yeah, we’re definitely just imagining. we’re not being exploited… the billionaires keep assuring me we’e not, so we’re not… right?
Joker is literally about how the poor are mistreated, using him as a symbol for billionaire mindset is the ultimate death of the author
I was with you until you conflated this shit with death of the author, I think it's just people being brainwashed by capitalism into thinking "stuff I happen to think is cool/badass = billionaire" (also I would never allow that Roland Barthes slander).
@@sholem_bond maybe i'm misunderstanding the phrase death of the author then? i thought it was when an interpretation abandoned authorial intent, so from what i am aware the authorial intent of joker was to show how the poor are mistreated, so using him as a symbol for the trillionaire grindset is an abandoning of the authorial intent of the character, but i might have just been using the phrase wrong for a long time 😂 it happens
@@samanthagiraffe3088 you're using it right in general, but you're also comparing the billionaire interpretation to the supposed "intent", and assuming or trying to discern authorial intent is sort of counter to death of the author, so it sounds a little contradictory, but I get what you mean. But also even if you agree with death of the author their interpretation can still be terrible 😂
@@yeah493 yeah i was kind of vouching for authorial intent on this one because im not 100% either way on whether or not authorial intent is the 'correct' interpretation but it is often how a work is designed and made so it is often the interpretation that is the most justifiable, but to me thats not because we should always take the authors word as law, but sort of just how the chips fall, if that makes sense. Youre right tho, if you get them to try and explain their interpretation they have barely a leg to stand on😂
joker is about something???
mans really said, "why save money when they're printing more money ?" with a straight face and then when the other guy couldn't answer, he had the balls to call him stupid and beyond help 💀
Those type of people need to understand that people can be speechless if you've blown their mind by making a good point that challenges their perspective but also if you've blown their mind by saying something so stupid and confusing they can't process it.
He thinks he's a billionaire because he's a genius, but the reality of it is that literally every billionaire is a billionaire almost entirely by luck. There's a little bit of skill/knowledge involved, but it's mostly luck. Maybe there's been a billionaire genius, but I'd wager it that's no more common than non-billionaire geniuses.
His point is that it’s only losing value, so saving money isn’t enough to make money at the rate that he does. I think he’s implying that you should use your money to grow your wealth instead of saving something that is losing value. You will get more value out of your money the faster you spend it, and if you can make a profit you will grow your wealth way faster than if you had saved it instead.
@@maccreamata6299 He basically just said "do invest". But in the most arrogant way possible
@@maccreamata6299 there are so many ways to educate people on the time value of money though. instead, he chose to ask a stupid question followed by no solid arguments to back it up and actually had the audacity to berate the other guy for not getting his point.
how is he a whole ass billionaire yet have the ability to communicate one's thoughts and ideas of a 3-year-old tho that's what im trying to get 🤡

the fact that the accounts takes from squid game was "money doesn't matter" and using grandson's (heavily anti-establishment artist who is very open about it) music in the background in some tik toks makes me physically unwell 💀💀
Exactly lmao! I was so confused when I heard blood//water in the background. It hurts my soul that they're using his music in that context.
Exactly. Like I recognized a good few songs, and I listen to a lot of anti-establishment music, not to mention some of those songs just felt like they were playing on the people who like that music versus using it as a message, and it felt SO out of place. I’ll never understand why people idolize a fictional clown man who kills people for fun. I also find it hilarious that the joker is being posted by a “billionaire mindset” page when those would most definitely be his victims lol
Well, in the last movie, he was literally a mentally ill/brain-damaged victim of capitalism and austerity measures. Also, if his victims have "billionaire mindsets," that does kind of make him look heroic by contrast, lol. Billionaires are the real-life supervillains of the world.
@@sholem_bond I don’t understand, joker was intentionally written to be a “good” guy while actually being evil. At least recently in the movies idk about the comics fully, Now joker, especially j Phoenix was especially deplorable. I’m not positive joker goes after pure wealth just whatever he feels is wrong
@@sholem_bond yeah i agree its very ironic the way he is clearly meant to be the beat down victim of the system just not being able to cope anymore (in joker 2019) and people interpret him as some ancap BILLIONAIRE GRINDSET 🥶 🥶 dude
Why does the joker kill people for fun? I’ve never seen the movie
@@kailajensen1021 maybe... because he's a psychopath?
Some of these clips are hyping up criminal activities. Jesse, the guy who bought the house, is a Meth dealer. Then, in the next clip, which is from La Casa De Papel (or Money Heist), those two men are bank robbers. Are we being inspired to commit crimes?
What billionaire didn't commit at least one crime?
@@toastycinnabear9738 tbh being a billionaire while some people are homeless, should be considered evidence of widespread criminality. I'm not going to say that social class/wealth differences could never naturally exist without crime being to blame, but that extreme range of social inequality can't exist without a corrupt system.
Billionaire mindset: laws don't apply to rich people
Also the Joker is a muderous psychopath and far from a billionaire, its the billionaire good guy that they dislike

As an impulsive buyer, I should not make this my new “Fxck it just buy it” phrase

The crown is a Rolex reference which is ever-so-slightly less gauche than a real crown

As usual, Jordan Peterson takes some generally-not-unhelpful common knowledge - "having a daily routine is often helpful and can make you feel more organized and in-control of your life" - and mott-and-baileys it into some weird shit he can't prove
How did he motte-and-bailey the routine advice with stabilizing your nervous system? Routines promote regular, consistent behavior. Regular and consistent behavior promotes a healthy nervous system.
If it weren’t these people with actual common sense, Society would actually take a nosedive into oblivion, And yes i get your point. But he’s helping people find their way again, he’s saying it step by step hes leading, its not useless information its very helpful and he is extremely wise
Would I buy a crown if I were a millionaire?! No for sure not. Definitely not. That's lame. (Hides cheap crowns I already bought as an adult for my pandemic birthdays to cheer me up.)

Robert Kiyosaki out here sending people into a full existential crisis with the “why do you save money?”
he is saying that you should invest because inflation will make your money worth less and less every day. Kinda flies over other's heads
@@sadyoshhours2769 It flies over people's head because he said it in a very cryptic way. I don't blame him for it but he shouldn't deliver it like that expecting everyone to understand that's what he meant.
@@ArturGlass.C ah yeah i see. he should've explained when he got curious like a good teacher lol.
@@sadyoshhours2769 his principle is still flawed though. He either doesn’t understand the definition of saving money or he doesn’t see the value in vehicle’s to saving money like long term investing. He also seems to be falling back on what he’s notorious for. Teaching high school freshman economics principles as if they are secrets or divine wisdoms. I think the guy is taken aback because he’s expecting something deep. Because of how serious Kiyosaki is when he says it. He’s not expecting him to be talking about inflation. Which he no doubt has known about since he was 13.

"Money isn't everything" and "money can't buy happiness," are phrases that were intended to shame rich people for prioritizing hoarding more money than they will ever need, not to shame poor people who are trying to decide if they want to pay their electricity or their internet this month
Whenever someone tries the "money can't buy happiness" bull, I like to respond "it doesn't, but it sure is easier looking for happiness when you don't have to make a choice between eating or paying rent". I don't think anyone can make a comeback to this.
@@aprilmichel7816 "Money doesn't buy happiness" is imo one of the best sentiments to disincentivize people from becoming like the "sigma trillionaire grindset" type of people. It's valuable in that if you convince people when they're young that money doesn't lead to fulfillment, then they are less likely to exploit others, or to compromise morals and integrity to get it. Though since society glorifies wealth and the vapid luxuries it offers so much, it makes that idea significantly harder to convince people of.
and I just have to say… If you never work on yourself while you’re getting money of course you’re not gonna be happy when you have money. But it’s pretty self-centered to look at a otherwise well balanced person who just doesn’t have a lot of money to try to tell them that if they get it they won’t be happy because you have it and you’re not happy. How about use alllll that money and go to therapy and get a damn sense of purpose… it gives ungrateful sometimes.

I really hope this is satire and you don’t actually think people who want consent are “Karen’s”…
the interviewer from the first video "why save money when they're printing money " is George Buhnici, a romanian tech reviewer. he used to do great stuff but lately he's been chasing money from sketchy sponsorships and doing a lot of podcasts

that first clip from suits?? not only is harvey not a billionaire, but that specific scene is supposed to be like one of his big breakdown arcs where he learns he was wrong when he said that lmao
Right??? I'm not a huge fan but I binged like 5 or 6 seasons, this isn't one of the times he's sarcastic and pithy but also right
I interpret the "why would I save money when they're printing money?" As "I'm addicted to saving money and it's not rational because people are starving and I have all this money that I'm not doing anything with. So I had to think about it rigjht? Why would I save money when there's not a lack of it?" And then the answer is something like "because it makes me feel good" and to him, having a reason, and having thought about it, instead of just doing it, helps him justify it.

Then that one where they say that they always stop the music with the girl when they were literally walking so slowly like whaaatt??!
The things with "you understand the villain as an adult" is so freaky cause no, you don't.
You're just like "Wow, he's really messed up." You can with the experience you've accumulates conclude that you've met terrible people and you wished for bad things to happen to them and that's why you can relate to the villain, but that's not a sane way to think about this, just cause you got hurt doesn't mean it enables you to hurt others as well.
I'm trying to concentrate on the things Nick and Jordan are saying, but I always get distracted by Bambi being cute in Nick's background oops
the beatbox section had me absolutely in stitches. the editing is great. making my quarantine time while im sick less boring
Can we talk about how the man talking about setting routines acts like it's the easiest thing to do when neurodivergent people may be physically unable to do so or struggle a lot to set those routines and adhere to them-
and that's ignoring what he was saying about being unable to be mentally healthy without a routine when anyone who has a mental illness/condition affecting their motivation has heard that thousands of times 💀💀

“Why would you save money if they print money?” was a rhetorical question. I’m a bit surprised that you and Jordan didn’t realize that if you weren’t just doing it for a bit. He’s saying “don’t save money because there’s no point, it’s not like you’re gonna lose that money because more money is always being printed out”.
